Choose Your Own Spelling

Assignment Sheet for Qtrs. 2, 3, and 4 Directions: Below are activities you are to choose from for spelling homework. Each activity is worth a certain amount of points. You will need to earn 50 points total each week. You may select any combination of activities, as long as they are done correctly and completely. Mark a check on the line beside each activity that you complete. You may not combine activities. All activities must be done separately. Please staple all the activities in order to this cover page and turn it in each Friday before the final spelling test. Pace yourself throughout the week. Dont wait until the last minute to do your spelling homework!!!

The fine print:

5 points off for each misspelled word 10 points off for sloppy illegible work 10 points off for each day late 10 points off for any of the following: no cover sheet, not filling out the cover sheet properly, not stapling papers together, or not putting work in order NO CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN unless you have turned in 50 points worth of work. Code Words Assign each letter of the alphabet a number or symbol (ex. A= 1 & B=2), then write all spelling words using your new code. Be sure to include you secret code. 18. Make a word search using each word on graph paper or using a website. You must include a word bank and solve your word search too. 19. Create a crossword puzzle using the definitions of your words. 20. Write all your words neatly in cursive. 21. Create and write at least 5 math story problems using all of your words. You must solve them too! 22. Write and draw a picture or symbol for 10 words.
