Animus of Life
Why do people go through such great lengths in hopes of seeking purpose in their lives? It really is rhetorical because it is contra distinct from people to people; there are no definite answers we all share. In our lives, some perceive it as nothing more than chronological order of events that play on a spread sheet with lumps and bumps down the road until tragic flaw. If we all looked at it from that viewpoint, there surely would be a lot more suicides. With a purpose in life, people are given courage and will to march towards death rather than run towards it. Notwithstanding if life truly has purpose or not, it gives people a reason to live. Without this drive, we as people wouldnt continue on living, not because it is granted to us by some higher divinity, but because we chose to despite facing all ails of life. This paper will cover the five major areas of which life has a particular play on people, and from this, we can grab evidence that support the argument that will give humanity a wider retrospect of how diminutive our purpose is, along with peoples attempts of self-motivation. The five areas are family, progressive goals, love & death, self-realization, and religion. Like Robert Byrne once said, The
purpose of life is a life of purpose. [1] In short terms, it is to give life meaning rather than to sought out the unattainable all-embracing answer. Life is an overly debated topic; many may argue that purpose isnt one of the key items for survival. That may be true, but what is the point of survival without goal and satisfaction. A life without purpose is nothing other than a wasted life. To give life meaning, first you have to find meaning, in this case, the everyday norms that affects individuals. 1. Family, most people has this at least one point in time of their lives. Family in this case, isnt the one addressed to societal norms today, such as the one happy family relation we all know and loved in media television. Consisting of two or more people with a common bond that have shared feelings akin to one another is the meaning of family itself. Through purpose, everything is traced back to the little things that get us to that point of realization. Elements that give the user motivation, goals, progress, and joy in what they do, this is where the five areas of self-purpose comes in. A happy family life is one of life's greatest blessings, and conversely, its absence is a singular misfortune. [2] These words said by Suma Varughese means you only get one life to live, if you arent born into a family, it becomes your misfortune. A part of your individuality (or self-perception) includes your close relationships like your family. You are born into a group, but under misfortune it may become absent. In groups, one can contribute to their self-concept; this includes their race, religion, and overall generic makeup. Each thing that you include in your model influences how you view yourself and how others view you. Since the rest of your family members undoubtedly include you in their self-concepts, everyone involved considers their family a part of who they are. Family and identity influence each other directly. Under family, comes something of important significance, love. The case in which love plays goes under family, friends, and partner. Many find love to be an important matter to discuss, because love is linked to every emotion, people find it fulfilling and makes it one of lifes meanings. Without family you wouldnt be taught right from wrong, understand the world that it is made to perceive such as progressing in life, be motivated, and achieve the goals you set out to meet. Family plays a large role in giving ones life, meaning.
