Not so necessary. TESDA's NC examinations are held to evaluate the work quality of our country's technical-vocational workers. But this evaluation however is used to get quality workers by most of the employers both local and foreign. If you won't be keying for a technical job, you don't have to be a TESDA certified worker. But if you want to have a high paying technical job abroad, a TESDA certification is a MUST. Most employers abroad will only hire TESDA certified workers. As for computer hardware servicing technicians, it is a MUST. If you are a self professed computer technician and wanting to have your own computer shop, you can not register your shop if you or your worker is not a TESDA Computer Hardware Servicing NC II certified. And if you want to get employed abroad, remember that foreign employers prefer CompTIA+ passer or equivalent like TESDA Computer Hardware Servicing NC II Certification.
