To determined if a student learn from a discussion ,It must be proven into your evaluation.

That is partly assessment, thus it varies in different pruposes. The descriptive title of this subject is conceptualized in Assessment of learning 2,The previous assessment of learning merely focuses on how a teacher assist a student in its different diversity as well as the evaluation is given importance. Assessment of learning 2 talks about the advance method in educational assessment .Their are genuinely assessment techniques which is very effective. That those potentials are uplift. As I go on & absorb the learning that this subject embodies us I realized that their are varied ways in showcasing ones performance of a student,The output is the one given consideration basis that a student exel in different aspect but considering the fact that they have different intellect as well as behavior. As a teacher you must not only rely on what is the result & leave those who are at stake .That will cause a deterioration in the dignity of a teacher thats why we study different assessment methods to encourage those who are at risk & seeking their potential to perform better. Your purpose as a teacher is to transfer knowledge to students It does not mean that you will feed them what is necessary & giving the same as the way on your evaluation .As a teacher we must developed students different domain the psychomotor, affective & the cognitive. By relying only on what you thought will not result on its affectivity , but by the adaptation of its learning will be the key of its great success. You must perform & show them other way of developing abilities . Assessment provides important information to both the learner & the teacher at all stages of the learning process. Effective learning takes places when learner had challenge to work toward appropriately high goals. Therefore appraisal of the learners cognitive strategies & weakness as well as current knowledge & skills is important for the selection of instructional materials of an optimal degree of difficulty.

WRITTEN REPORT

7.4 ASSIGNING LETTER GRADES & COMPUTING GRADES Grades assigned to students must include only achievement .It is very important to avoid the temptation to include effort for less able students because it is difficult to assess effort or potential and it is difficult to distinguish ability from achievement ,furthermore ,if achievement & effort are combined in some ways, grades would mean different things for different individuals. Grade reflected on report cards are numerical quantities arrived at after several data on the students performance are combined .The following guidelines may be considered in combining such data; The weights used are normally agreed upon the school officials e.g. how many percent goes for quizzes ,unit test, periodic test ,etc. The more scientific approach is to use a principal component analysis which is hardly practiced in schools because of the difficulty involved. In this institution we preferably follow the standards in deliberation of grades which is discussed before the class began. There are equivalents in letter grades that I encounter from the previous subject This may be their equivalents.

7.5 NORM OR CRITERION REFFERENCED GRADING

Grades may reflect relative performance i.e. score compared to other students (where you rank) .This is more commonly called a norm referenced grading system. Most appropriate when one wishes to make comparisons across large numbers of students or important decisions regarding student placement and advancement. Norm-referenced measures are designed to compare students (i.e., disperse average student scores along a bell curve, with some students performing very well, most performing average, and a few performing poorly).Grades (like class rank )depends on what group you are in,not just your own performance .Typical grade may be shifted up or down ,depending on groups ability .This assessment Is widely used because mush classroom testing is norm referenced.

Grades may also reflect absolute performance i.e. score compared to specified performance standards. This is more commonly called a criterion-refferenced grading .In such a system ; criterion-referenced tests include items that are directly relevant to the learning outcomes to be measured, without regard to whether the items can be used to discriminate among students. No attempt is made to eliminate easy items or alter their difficulty. If the learning tasks are easy, then test items will be easy. The goal of the criterion-referenced test is to obtain a description of the specific knowledge and skills each student can demonstrate. This information is useful for planning both group and individual instruction." Grades does not depend on what group you are in, but only on your own performance compared to a set of performance strandards.Grading is a complex task, because grades must clearly defined the domiane, clearly define &justify the performance standards,be based on criterionrefferenced assessment.Conditions are hard to meet except in complete mastery learning settings; Finally ,grades may also reflect learning ability or imrrprovement performance i.e.score compared to learning potentialor past performance .In such a system .Grades are consistent with a standard -based system because now ,each child has|her own standards . Reliably estimating learning ability (separate from achievement )is very difficult .One cannot reliably measure change with classroom measurement ,therefore ,should only be used as a supplement.

BEC REFLECTION

The 1983 Elementary School Curriculum and the 1989 Secondary Education Curriculum (SEC) have been restructured into the 2002 Basic Education Curriculum (BEC). Teachers are being trained on the BEC before the first day of classes on June 17, 2002. Training will school based. The Department of Education is adopting a curriculum starting June that reduces the number of subjects for elementary and high school students from as many as 10 to just five Filipino, English, Science, Mathematics and Makabayan." DepEd says that the old curriculum does not allow students to gain mastery of basic skills because it is too 'overcrowded.' Under the new scheme, Social Studies, Home Economics, Physical Education, Health and Music will constitute Makabayan. With the restructured curriculum, DepEd hopes to develop students into skilled Filipinos capable of working creatively in a rapidly changing world. That emphasis on English, Science and Math will help the country compete in an era of globalization. Many teachers are against the Basic Education Curriculum. An academic supervisor in a private says that BEC will reduce the hours devoted to Social Studies and to values education and continue the use of defective textbooks. Others fear losing their jobs as teachers of PE, Music, Health, Arts, and Home Ecomonics. But as explained it was just restructuring it is not intended to remain them jobless & the restructuring involves the renaming of those subject . though they have been renamed, there is basically no change in the subjects that will be taught. The main difference is in the time alloted each subject. There is a significant increase of the time spent in Filipino, English, and Mathematics, however, the decrease in Science and Technology seems contrary to the philosophy behind the restructuring.Living in our country is full of complexity we always wonder why we always suffer such crisis.Agencies in our government spend time to make some change but the question there is are they effective.Variation happened in our educational system we always try to adopt those.Delevering the effort of our fellow teacher that gain a tremendous contribution just to make this possible.we still cant compete globally what is really the main problem is it the curriculum or the burden of our co-filipinos who are suffering from poverty before we conclude.Rizal said education is the key to be release from poverty how can we be release if we dont have the energy to struggle for survival the hungry the stomach the lesser the brain responds. The revised curriculum did what is really may the improvement of education. As it is still now on going we are used to adopt it as the mission of the one who establish it is to make productive & globally competitive Filipinos. As I compare my experience to the old curriculum to the present seems confusing that there are some generalization that I could not interact its because I am not used to it.As I obsereved is their any revisions in the part of the learner I think nothing change.Bringing the new experience ahead the best way to create a good diversity of learners is to solve the common issue that deteriorate the people in the community.Values must comes first building our future depends on the confinement of our discipline.

OVERVIEW OF OUR NATIVE DELICACIES & COUSINE

The phillipine does not crop up in written history until the arrival of the spanish in the 16 century ,although there are afew mention in Chinese chronicles from the 4th century that are thought to refer to the country ,called mayi by Chinese traders . the information we have about pre historic Filipino eating habits is based solely on archeology .for instance, excavation in solana ,cagayan discovered rice husk & stems dating back 3,500 years .In Butuan City .Agusan del Norte ,10th -13th century yellow fin tuna bones were found with tabon-tabon a native fruit .Tihs according to the late antropologist Dorren Gambo Fernandez ,suggest that Kinilawmay be one of the most ancient of the filipino foods & methods of preparation.

The written history of the philippines begins in earnest in 52 ,when spanish expedition led by Magellan landed on Limasawa Island,Pigaffeta describe the dinner given by Raja Colambo of Limasawa Island as pork in its sauce served in porcelain platters believed to be Humba in this modern days. In 1899 Malolos Convention , which organized the first republic ,consisted largely on sophisticated european dishes.Three houndred years of spain rule resulted in the introduction of engredients such as tomatoes, annato (locally called achuete),corn & avocado from other colony of spain , of course also brought their own style of cooking from the deffirent regions of spain .Some of this dishis are still popular in the philippines , such as callos ,gambos & paella.American influenced Filipino cousine mainly in the cakes ,salad, sandwhich, soda fountain items ,& cocktails we now enjoy. The American colonials werw also obssesed with hygenic & sanitary procedure in food preparation. All of the influences mentioned above have been extensively studied & written about , yet the conection between Filipino cousine & those of its neighbors in SouthEast Asia have only been explored in recent years .Malaysias sour soup singgang is an unmistakable close relative of filipino sinigang .The fan shaped banana fritters called maruya in the philippines are similar to the Indonesian pisang goring kipas. The tagalog sapin-sapin resembles Thailands kha-nom chant.Filipino chicken rice soup with ginger ,called arroz caldo ,is just like the chao ga of Vietnam , & the filipino pickled vegetqable salad called atchara are undoubtedly descended from the Indian Achar.
