Grading Rubric Cuaresma Chemistry and Physics Project 1: Individual Essay Your individual objective is to write a very well

written, 5 paragraphs, Compare and Contrast Essay discussing at least two but no more than three concepts that you have learned from your SQ3Rs and assignments. If you are not exactly sure how to write this type of essay, please seek help from your language arts teacher, a fellow student who may know this style of writing, and look at the following online articles: http://www.bookrags.com/articles/5.html http://www.enotes.com/topics/how-write-compare-contrast-essay You must incorporate any of the above valid styles and clear and correct Chemistry or Physics Content that you have learned. This project is broken down into three parts and you must complete all three parts to score on this project (50 total Lab Points). You must produce the following documents: 1) Concept Map (10 pts) should be a graphical organizer to help you sort out your data. Do not put ALL data from the book. Just include the exact data that you need for the essay. We have done this before in class. 2) Essay outline (10pts) Introduction (includes poetic, universe statement, and thesis statement) Body (three paragraphs), and Conclusion. Use the knowledge of past essay writing in our class. 3) Final Draft (30pts) Must be typewritten. Submit via cuaresmascience.com or turn in a hard copy. You may work together in teams to share ideas, however YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR OWN individually written essays. I want to hear your voice in your own genuine writing assignments. Cuaresma Chemistry and Physics Project 2: Individual Website Your individual objective is to create an informative, interactive website which shows off your technological literacy, individual creativity, and content knowledge of any Two to major concepts you have learned from your SQ3Rs and assignments. You are free to use most available, free online website editors to create your website such as: www.wix.com www.wordpress.com www.weebly.com This project is broken down into three parts and you must complete all three parts to score 100% on this project (50 total Lab Points). You must produce the following documents: 1) Concept Map should be a graphical organizer to help you sort out your data. Do not put ALL data from the book. Grading Rubric Cuaresma Chemistry and Physics Project 3: Group skit/video Your groups objective is to produce a creative video to tell a story about a concept that you have learned from your readings and assignments. You may explore creating a story similar to Plastic Bag to personify some materials in chemistry. Or you may go off on your own creative style and do a live action play acting out as characters. You must shoot this video using your own devices (cameras, phones, itouch etc) and you must edit using whatever software you choose. You may upload your videos on YouTube or simply bring in a thumb drive with your CONVERTED video file. This project is broken down into four parts and you must complete all four parts to score 100% on this project (50 total Lab Points). 1) Schedule of assignments (5pts) Each of the members of the group MUST have an active role in the production either as an actor, producer, videographer, etc. Your team must submit a document, which states each group members name, his or her specific role, and % contribution to the project. 2) Storyboard (5pts) a comic book style drawing and narration explaining the step-by-step plot of the video. Basically it will look like scene-by-scene drawings with the characters scripts and narration. a.
