SYNOPSIS

Project : ONLINE EXAMINATION

INTRODUCTION:
The project entitled ONLINE EXAMINATION is software developed for conducting online objective type examination and providing immediate results.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:
ONLINE EXAMINATION is a software application design to add student information, manage questions, schedule/unscheduled exam, view results and generate reports.

PURPOSE:

Responses by the candidates will be checked automatically and instantly. Online examination will reduce the hectic job of assessing the answers given by the candidates. Being an integrated Online Examination it will reduce paper work. Can generate various reports almost instantly when and where required.

SCOPE:

PROBLEM DEFINITION:
This project assesses students by conducting online objective tests. The tests would be highly customizable. This project will enable educational institutes to conduct test and have automated checking of answers based on the response by the candidates. The project allows faculties to create their own tests. It would enable educational institutes to perform tests, quiz and create feedback forms. It asks admin to create set of questions. The students will appear for the test and the result of the response would be available quickly after finishing the test. This project would also be helpful for creating practice tests, say for educational institutes.

Technologies Used

JSP: Java Server Pages technology provides a simplified, fast way

Struts: An open source framework for building Servlet/JSP based

XML: Extensible Markup Language. CSS: Cascading Style Sheets are used for designing the application. JSCRIPT : Java Script is used for client side validation. HTML: Hypertext Markup Language is a markup language used to
design static web pages.
