Writing a story in Tside Using Wordpress/Tside for news. Note: Students should bring all practical work from Newswriting and Newsgathering to class.

Newsgathering: Vox Pops: How to conduct a vox pop. What details are needed, how to incorporate in to a story. Task: Using a story from todays news. Go out on an individual vox pop with a camera. Write story and vox pop up to lay out.

Indesign Exam: Group One: Weds 9.30-12am Group Two: 3pm 5.30pm Using given elements, lay out a single page in 2 1/2 hours: (Note you will have to trim stories down to make them fit.) You will be given: A lead story of 350 words to be trimmed to about 300 words. A flight of three fillers, each of about 100 words to be trimmed to about 70 words each. A picture story of 250 words to be trimmed to 100 words. Two pictures.
