Look around the birthplace of surfing and the hula. Theres no place on earth like Hawaii. Come! Let us begin here in beautiful Hawaii name. VOICE OVER: Ladies and gentlemen, the grand entrance of the graduates. ---------------------------------------GRADUATES GRAND ENTRANCE----------------------------------VOICE OVER: All rise for the invocation to be led by Ms. Jinky Barote and please remain standing for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. --------------------------------------INVOCATION & PHIL. NATL ANTHEM-------------------------------VOICE OVER: All be seated. Aloha! Ladies and gentlemen, now we bring you the master and lady of ceremonies, our hosts, Mr. Englevert Reyes and Ms. Jennine Karmiel Baculi. ------------------------------------------ENTRANCE OF THE EMCEES------------------------------------VERT: Good evening guests! Aloha ahiahi malihini! JENNINE: Good evening family and relatives! Aloha ahiahi ohana! VERT: Yes, aloha Jennine! JENNINE: Aloha Vert! Everyones feeling the hula spirit this evening very warm and cordial one Ohana, one family. VERT: If we look around, we can really see that there is so much Hawaii in this place. Every corner is filled with flowers and coconut trees. JENNINE: People are wearing bright and lively colors with floral designs matched with beautiful leis. VERT: Yes, and I can even distinctly hear the sound of drums and ukuleles. Ladies and gentlemen, BOTH: Welcome to Hawaii! JENNINE: the College of Education presents 3-in-1 Affair goes Hawaiian! VERT: Right! So, dont you ever wonder why you have to wear grass skirts, luau, and floral dresses and shirts because including us, (*laughs) everyone has to conform to our theme for this occasion. JENNINE: Vert, talking about this nights occasion, this is actually the most awaited event of our lifetime. VERT: Can you enlighten us all Jennine? JENNINE: You see, this festivity, which we term it in COE as the 3-in-1 affair, is a very special event wherein before we step up on stage to get the diploma, we get to have a toast of success together with our dearest mentors, batch mates, friends, and of course, parents. VERT: So ladies and gentlemen, expect that this evening would be filled with hulas and alohas as we celebrate the grand culmination of our more than 15 years of academic quest. JENNINE: Exactly, Vert! At this juncture, we now come to hear a warming message from our well-rounded chairperson in DoTE or Department of Teacher Education. Why this event is called 3-in-1 affair and whats the significance of this celebration well get to know the answers of those through this person. Friends, lets put our hands together for BOTH: Mr. Jose Gatino M. Nacario

------------------------------------------------WELCOME ADDRESS--------------------------------------------VERT: you know what Jennine? One of the persons who have helped us in conceptualizing and organizing this event is Sir Gati. And, we cant help but to be grateful upon having him supporting us all the way. JENNINE: Sir Gati, thank you so much! Ladies and gentlemen, to reiterate, this 3-in-1 affair is called such because this is the graduates Recognition Day, Ring Hop Ceremony, and Graduation Ball put together into one. Vert, what makes tonights affair more special is the presence of very important individuals who really saved a part of their time just to celebrate with us. VERT: Yes, one of our religious administrators is here to say his farewell and inspirational message for us, the graduates, and we feel so honored upon having him tonight. My dear friends, help me welcome the Vice-President for Religious Affairs, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel A. Bolilia, OAR. A big hand! --------------------------------------------INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE----------------------------------------JENNINE: Surely, ___________________________________________________________ (quote Fr. Bolilias message). Thank you Rev. Fr. Bolilia! VERT: After four years of academic and extra-curricular struggles, its now high time to recognize our deserving students who have poured exceptional efforts and boundless contributions to the college since they were still first year until now that theyll be taking their gracious exit from our alma mater. JENNINE: To announce the special awards, may we call on the advisers. And also, we would like to request our very own Dean, Dr. Catherine Ann U. Bayani together with Rev. Fr. Emmanuel A. Bolilia, OAR to do honors of awarding the graduates. Also, once the awardees name is called, may we invite the parents or sponsors to escort him or her. ------------------------------------------COE SPECIAL RECOGNITION---------------------------------------VERT: Thank you so much our advisers, Dr. Cathy and Fr. Emmanuel! Of course, Jennine, we could never forget as well the benevolence and generosity of our dean, Dr. Catherine Ann U. Bayani, who is the brain behind this awarding ceremony. Congratulations to all the awardees. You deserve them and Im sure your parents are so proud of you! JENNINE: Before we get too deep, I know everyone is hungry. Am I right? So, what are we waiting for? Lets now have the Hawaiian Banquet to appease our gastronomic urges. VERT: to lead us the blessing of the food, may we give the honor to the secretary of the COE graduating class, Ms. Sheryl Nacario! ----------------------------------------------BLESSING OF THE FOOD----------------------------------------JENNINE: thank you Sheryl! Ladies and gents, get hold of your spoons and forks, and dig in. BOTH: Mea'ai Maika'i (meh-ah'ah-ee mai-kah'ee) JENINE: Happy eating! ------------------------------------------------HAWAIIAN BANQUET--------------------------------------------JENNINE: So while savoring our sumptuous meals, well continue this heartwarming experience. VERT: Jennine, four years have been a very long time. We have forged bonds of friendship, marks in the academic world, remarkable feats in extra-curricular undertakings, and most of all, we have gained indelible learning that will forever mark as Josenians. JENNINE: In celebration of those four wonderful years, we take the road down memory lane and catch glimpses of our intertwined lives as we journeyed through that phase in life called college. VERT: And so, we give the floor to Ms. Anabbelle Rull and Mr. Eduardo Dao for the memory lane flashbacks. -------------------------------------------MEMORY LANE FLASHBACKS--------------------------------------

JENNINE: Thank you Anabbelle and Eduardo! That sure made our heart aches because of the thought that those will remain memories, bittersweet memories. VERT: This point in time, lets hear voices coming from grateful hearts of two graduates. To render mele, the Hawaiian term for songs, here on stage are Ms. Fatima Grace Balaba JENNINE: and Mr. Roy Gamboa. A big hand for them! ----------------------------------------------------SONG NUMBERS----------------------------------------------JENNINE: Thank you Tim and Roy for imbibing us the spirit of music. Friends, I hope all of your stomachs are full with those Ono or delicious cuisines because we are now moving on to BOTH: The Grand Show! VERT: Yes. Let me just share this to everyone that Ring Hop goes beyond the superficial beyond these Hawaiian decors and costumes Ring Hop is a symbolic ceremony that marks the end of our struggles and our entrance into the real world. JENNINE: Ring Hop signifies ourselves, embracing the world of maturity and saying goodbye to dependency. VERT: Definitely. And so may we ask the Kahuna in this gathering, or our dearest priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel A. Bolilia, OAR to bless the graduates class rings. JENNINE: We would also like to call all the graduates to please be in front so as to be included in the blessing. ---------------------------------------BLESSING OF THE CLASS RINGS------------------------------------VERT: And now that the class rings have been blessed. We are now ready for the Ring Hop Rites. JENNINE: May we request the chairperson of the PE Department, Mrs. Elizabeth Orimaco, to lead the solemn ceremony. VERT: May we also request all sponsors or parents to stay beside your graduate. -------------------------------------------------RING HOP RITES-------------------------------------------------JENNINE: Thank you so much Mrs. Orimaco. College of Education houses talented individuals not just the students but the teachers as well. To render a soulful song sweetly offered for the graduates is a faculty member of the Department of Teacher Education. VERT: Think of Martin Nievera, Ariel Rivera and Gary V. He has the combination of all their voices. Friends, my good mentor in Special Education, Mr. Jestoni P. Babia. A resounding applause! -------------------------------------------------SONG NUMBER---------------------------------------------------JENNINE: Wow! Our hearts surely melted with that very moving song rendition. VERT: Gone are the days when teachers are thought to be strict, terrifying and serious. The new breed of teachers encompasses a joyful and playful heart. While we do our job passionately, we never ignore the humorous side of life in teaching. JENNINE: this time, we present to you this jovial lady who always tickles the bones of the many. In fact, she was the champion in the SSC Tall Tales contest last year. Ladies and gentlemen, Ms. May Rose Paradela! A round of applause. --------------------------------------------------TALL TALES-------------------------------------------------------VERT: Thank you May Rose! We will surely miss all the funny moments we had with you. JENNINE: Vert, now we proceed to a very exciting part of the program BOTH: the Hawaiian Showdown! VERT: Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves as the English majors, JENNINE: the Generalists, VERT: and the SpEd Majors will battle out each other to prove how much they love their teachers, most especially their advisers. -------------------------------------------HAWAIIAN SHOWDOWN----------------------------------------------

JENNINE: Surely, all the graduates have given their best performance rendered only for the best teachers. VERT: I agree. This point in time, the English Major graduates have prepared some surprised awards adding color to this memorable occasion. And so may we call in Ms. Jinky Barote and Mr. Roy Gamboa to announce the COE Hawaiian special awards. JENNINE: To do the honors of giving the sashes, may we call in the Dean, Dr. Bayani, to be assisted by Mr. Jose Gatino M. Nacario, the DoTE Chairperson. ------------------------------------COE HAWAIIAN SPECIAL AWARDS-------------------------------------VERT: Our warmest congratulations to the recipients of COE Hawaiian Special Awards. Friends, the college diploma is already within our reach, and we are now about to realize our dreams. But might as well remind everyone that behind our success are the important people in our lives who have helped us grow, learn and become responsible. JENNINE: Yes, we cannot just ignore these persons close to our hearts who have sacrificed a lot just for us to be happy and make sure that we are having the best time of our lives. VERT: Ladies and gentlemen, these persons we are referring to are our parents, family, and teachers. This time, graduate, let us show and prove to them how grateful we are for having them and how we truly love them just as they have given us an unconditional love. JENNINE: Fellow graduates, let us altogether stand and serenade our parents, family and teachers. Ma, pa, mam, sir, amo kining halad alang kanimo! --------------------------------TRIBUTE TO MENTORS AND PARENTS-----------------------------------VERT: To our parents, family, friends, mentors, classmates, and to all those who have touched our hearts, we love you so much and well surely miss you! In Hawaiian, Aloha nui loa! JENNINE: Vert, I think its just right that this time well listen to our parents about how they feel now and what has gone through their lives while struggling to send their children in college! VERT: May we give the floor to Mr. Alberto Balaba, the father of Ms. Fatima Grace Balaba. Afterwhich is Mrs. Jocelyn Baculi, mother of my partner, Ms. Jennine Baculi. -----------------------------------------RESPONSE FROM PARENTS----------------------------------------JENINE: Thank you Mr. Balaba and Ma. Same with you, Im so proud you. Now, lets hear from Ms. Jenelyn Bertulfo about her class experiences. -------------------------------------------CLASS EXPERIENCE--------------------------------------------------VERT: thank you, Jenelyn! Indeed, we are all inspired and touched by your story which most of us could very well relate with the experience. After we have taken the road down the memory lane and catch glimpses of our intertwined lives as we journeyed through that phase in life, we called college, Lets fast forward a little bit and hear predictions of our future lives. JENNINE: who are we 10 or 15 years from now? How would we look that time? What kind of life awaits us in the future? Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves as we bring you BOTH: the Class Prophecy! VERT: to be shared by Ms. Ruby Grace Solo! ---------------------------------------------CLASS PROPHECY--------------------------------------------------JENNINE: Thank you Ruby! How we wish, we could be that somebody we wished to be! VERT: you know what Jennine? No one can stop us from becoming who we want to be. As the saying goes, we are the captains of our own ships. JENNINE: Absolutely, Vert! And now, its time to sing the class song while recalling tearfully the batchs moments! --------------------------------------------CLASS SONG-----------------------------------------------------------JENNINE: Before we finally say farewell, lets listen first from the president of the graduating class to give his closing remarks, my co-host, Mr. Englevert Reyes.
