You showed the marvelous power of your grace when in your providence you selected the Apostle Paul to carry the Good News of salvation to the Gentiles. The former persecutor of Christians, who fought the Church, became a strong and faithful Apostle, so that Jesus Christ could complete in him his passion for the salvation of all. COLLECT God our Father, you chose Saint Barnabas, filled with faith and the Holy Spirit, and sent him to convert the nations. Grant that we will always proclaim faithfully by word and deed the Gospel of Christ that he witnessed with apostolic courage. COLLECT Lord, enable us to grasp in the spirit of St. Paul the sublime wisdom of Christ crucified. Richly endowed with such wisdom, Saint Anthony Mary Zaccaria preached incessantly in your Church the message of the cross. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Through Him the angels of heaven offer their prayer of adoration as they rejoice in your presence forever. May our voices be one with theirs in their triumphant hymn of praise.
