Medieval Choice Activities Guidelines


TasK: Using the Medieval Choice Projects grid you will complete activities to reach a total of 45 points or more scored for
each topic. The topics you are going to research are: Feudalism Church Crusades Magna Carta Black Death General Your activities will be marked using the rubric below. Some headings may not be applicable for the task. When you complete a task you are expected to colour in the box on your grid and have the activity marked by your teacher before moving onto another activity. Be sure to CAREFULLY read the task before starting the activity.

Level 1
Content
I try to write what I know about the topic, but I require more research or need to explain more clearly. I did not follow the instructions for the activity. I should read the task more carefully before starting. I spell a few words correctly and use correctly and use correct grammar sometimes. I rarely use correct punctuation. My presentation is difficult to read/hear

Your task: Create game cards to use in playing a board game.

Title your page with the name of your game. Write ten different questions to be answered about the topic. Write the questions flashcard style question on front, answer on back. Write five obstacle/help cards. These are situations that can cause bad things or good things to happen to a player. They must relate to the topic. You must include at least one of each. Attach these cards to your notebook page with pockets. Describe what your game board would look like in at least one complete sentence.

Your task: Create a picture from pieces of paper and pictures, to create an image that is representative of an idea or topic that youve been assigned.

Your task: Create a crossword puzzle using important people, concepts, terms, and events from this topic. You may need to supplement your notes with your textbook.
Choose ten people, places, events, or terms from this topic. Use scratch paper to figure out how you can write the words in crisscross combinations. Copy the finished blank grid onto your notebook page, numbering your across and down words. Write a clue for each of your ten items (fill-in-the-blank, question, definition, etc.) under across or down. Provide an answer key
