ThisissothatyoucanexperienceTHEPOWEROFBEING. Andthisiswhereyoumustbegin,sinceitisalsothemostfundamentalpartofyou. Youshouldunderstandthatyourbodyistheexpressionofyourlife;yourbodyisyourBible, yourencyclopaedia,yourlifehistory.Infact,everythingthathappenstoyouisinsomeway recorded andreflectedbyyourbody. Wisdomiswrittenintoyourbodyineachofthecellsthatcomposeitandthiswisdom, whichcomesfromthedivinecreation,isINFINITE.Yourbodyknowsthisinstinctively;it feels itsdivineorigins. Thecloserelationshipbetweenyourinnerlife(yourmoods,frameofmind,psychological disposition,mentalattitudes,thoughts,emotions)andyourbodyisindivisible,inevitableand unavoidable. Inotherwords,themarriagebetweenbodyandmindcanNEVERendindivorce. Butforthismarriagetobehappyandsuccessful,youmustrespecttheneedsofyourbody, lookafteritandloveitlikeafriend,yourbestfriend. Alltheseexercisesreleasethetensionsaccumulatedinourbody,freeusfromourlimitations, bringusthepleasureofmovementandexpressionfreefromtheconstraintsofconditioning. Theyformtheindispensablepreliminarystagestoanyattempttoachievephysical,emotional andmentalfitness. Theonlyobstacletobeovercomeinordertopracticethemisthe ridiculebarrier. Thefollowingparagraphswillhelpyoudevelopthesequalitieswithinyou.Letsbeginwith: Mentalgymnastics Throughimagination,mentalvisualisationandsensation,youcanusethefantasticresources ofyourbraintoprepareyourbodyforexerciseanddevelopitsbeauty,strength,mobilityand suppleness. Youonlyhavetoimagine,toseeyourbodymovinginyourmindseyeforyourbrainto immediatelytransmitpreciseorderstotherestofyourmusculaturetopreparethemovements andensurethenecessaryco-ordination. Thepositionsandmovementsimagined,andthenfelt,producemeasurablephysiological effects.Yourbodyactuallybenefitsfromalargepartoftheexercisethatyouarevisualising. Didyouknowthatafewminutesvisualisationeachdayenablespeoplewhoareunableto movetomaintaintheirphysicalenergy?Peoplesufferingfromrheumatismandaccident victimscanrestorethemobilityoftheirjointsbyrepeatedlyvisualisingthefreemovementof thesejoints.Remarkableresultsareobtainedincompetitionsportusingthistypeofmental training. closeyoureyes, breathedeeply,

relax, imagineorvisualiseyourselfinasituationofyourownchoosing,inasmuch
detailaspossible(surroundingcountryside,temperature,light,sounds,textureof theground,movementsanddisplacementofyourbody,etc.)

Dothiseffortlessly,inarelaxedstate,allowingtheimagestoappear oftheirownaccord behindyourclosedeyelidsasspontaneouslyaspossible.Themoreyoupracticethisexercise, treatingitaasagame,theeasieritbecomes.Byrepeatingityouwillfeelyourself entering theimage moreeasilyandyouwillactuallyfeeltheenvironmentandmovementsyouare imaginingwithinyourownbody. IMPORTANT:Duringperiodsofvisualisationallowyourselftobreathefreelyanddont stopyourselfstretching,yawningormakinganybodymovementsthatoccurnaturally. Takeeveryavailableopportunitytopractisethese mentalgymnastics Iassureyouthat youwillfindthemextraordinarilybeneficial. Developingyourstrength Tobestrongistohaveanefficientmusculature. Isometricgymnastics(muscularcontractionwithoutchangingposition)isoneofthemost effectivewaysofdevelopingandmaintainingyourmusculature. Amusclethatisnotsufficientlystimulatedatleastonceadaylosesitsstrength.Amuscle thatisintenselystimulatedbymaximumcontractionforafewsecondsreactsbystimulating thebloodcirculationanddevelopingthestrengthofitsmusclefibres. Forpeopleinasituationofenforcedimmobility(inhospital,astronauts,etc.),ithasbeen proventhatafewisometricgymnasticexerciseseachdayareenoughtomaintainthe musculatureinperfectcondition. Theyenableyoutodevelopyourphysicalstrengthandyourvitalityinadiscreetandintense manner. Believeme,doingtheseexercisesonadailybasiswillkeepyourmusculature superfit and enableyoutograduallyachieveexceptionalphysicalefforts withoutfeelingtiredorstiff! Theprinciplesofisometricexercises: 1. Continuingtobreathenormally 2. Tensing(withoutexternalmovement)oneorseveralgroupsofmuscles 3. Achievingmaximumcontraction 4. Maintainingthiscontractionforbetweenoneandsevenevenbreaths,while keepingtherestofthebodyrelaxed

5. Releasingthemusculartension 6. Breathingoutdeeplytorelax. Aboveall,dothingsgraduallyandNEVERSTRAIN. Examplesofisometricexercises: a)Tostrengthenyourback Saygoodbyetopainfulanddebilitatingbackpain! Youwillnowbeabletocreateastrongbackbystrengtheningthedeep-seatedmusculature thatsupportsthespine. Hereisaspeciallyadaptedisometricexercise: Joinyourhandsinfrontofyourhead,withyourpalmspressedagainstyourforehead.Pull yourarmsbackwards,pushingyourheadforwardsagainsttheresistanceofyourhands. Joinyourhandsbehindyourhead,withyourpalmsrestingonthebackofyourhead,above thenapeofyourneck.Pushyourhandsforwardagainsttheresistanceofyourhead. Observethetechniquesofisometriccontraction.Forthisexercise,whichcanbedonesitting orstandingbutwiththebackstraight,yourheadmustbeperfectlyalignedandyoureyes lookingstraightahead(youcancheckyourpositionbystandinginfrontofamirror). b)Tostrengthenyourabdominalmuscles Thiswillenableyoutoaccumulateagreatdealofenergyaroundyourstomachareaand consequentlyformabdominalmusclesthatmaintainthedigestiveorgansinplace(crucialto preventyougettinga stomach !) Liedownonyourback,withyourarmsrestingonthegroundatyoursides(usearelatively firmsurface,forexampleacarpetor,betterstill,an exercisemat ratherthanasoft mattress). Asyoubreathein,raiseyourlegs,keepingthemstraightandwithoutsupportingyourselfwith yourhands.Maintainthecontractionforseveralevenbreaths.Thenreleasethecontractionby loweringyourlegstotheground. Startfromthesamepositionandraiseyourlegsandyourback.Atthesametimeraiseyour arms,keepingthemstraightandparallelinfrontofyou.Onlythelowerbackandupperpart ofthebuttocksshouldremainincontactwiththefloor. Lookatthetipsofyourtoes,whiletryingtokeepyourbackstraight. Maintainthecontraction,forseveralevenbreaths.Liebackonthefloorasyoubreatheout. Practisingthisexerciseeachday,forafewminutesatatime,willensuregooddigestionand clearintestinaltransit.Nomoreflatulenceorconstipation! c)Torelievepelviccongestion Thisexercise,whichaimstodrawbloodintothemusclesofthebuttocks,isaneffectivecure forbleedingoftheuterus,periodpains,gynaecologicalproblems,haemorrhoidsandto preventprostateproblems.

Severaltimesaday,tensethemusclesofyourbuttocks,perineum(areabetweentheanusand genitalia)andtheanalsphinctermuscle,accordingtotheisometricprinciple.Thisexercise canbedoneinanyposition. d)Isometricexercisesfortheface Thisexerciseisextremelyusefulforrelaxingtensioninthefaceandeyes. Followinganisometriccontraction,thesubcutaneousmusclesplacedundertensionrelax deeply.Theirimprovedelasticitypreventsthembecomingwastedwhichisoneofthe principlecausesofageingoftheskin. Infact,imperfectionsoftheskin(wrinkles,agespots)aremoreeffectivelytreatedfromthe inside,bydevelopingthemusculatureoftheface,thantheoutside(beautycreams,plastic surgery,etc.). Theregenerationofthefacialmusclesleadstoaremarkableimprovementinthecirculation oftheblood.Thisinturnleadstotheeliminationofwastetissueandrevitalisesthelayersof theskin. Thebesttimestowalkareatsunriseandsunset,sincetheearthselectromagneticenergyis greateratthesetimesthanatanyothertimeoftheday. Ifyouhavetheopportunitytowalkbarefoot(ingrasswetwithdeworonasandybeach,for example)thisisidealsinceyouwillrapidlybuildupastoreofenergy,whichpassesthough thesolesofyoufeetandcirculatesthroughoutyoubody. Walkinanaturalenvironmentasoftenasyoucan:inthecountryside,forest,alongariver bank,inapark,agarden,etc.Fifteentotwentyminuteswalkadayisinitselfanexcellent wayofkeepingfit! Walksmoothlyandevenlywithoutanythinginyouhandssothatyourarmscanmovefreely. Toimproveyourmobilityandsuppleness,walkusingthe toe-heel method,placingyour toesonthegroundfirst,thenyourfoot,thenyourheel.Tolearnhowtodoit,practicewalking backwardsuntilyoufeelcomfortablewiththemovement. Themethodavoidssubjectingthespineandintestinestosuddenshocks.Italsostimulatesthe energyofthetoes(wherethereflexpointsoftheheadandthesenseorgansarelocated). Thespinewillautomaticallyfinditscorrectpositionwhileyouarewalkingifyoupractise carryingarealorimaginaryobjectonyourhead. Toreleasethetensionsthatinterferewithyourbreathing,youcanpracticebreathingout againstresistance:breatheoutthroughalmostclosedlipsasifyouwerebreathingthrougha thintube,completelyemptyingyourlungs.

Youcanalsoregulateyourexhalationstotherhythmoffamiliartunesoremitasoundthat youallowtoreverberateinyourmouth,noseandthroat(thevibrationsofthesoundwill stimulatethesensitiveareasofthepalateandnosewhichwillinturnstimulateallthepartsof thebodyviareflexchannels). Thenlettheairenteryourlungsofitsownaccord,feelingyourstomachexpandfirst.Inthis exerciseexhalationisactiveandinhalationpassive. Theseexhalationsagainstresistanceincreasethesupplyofoxygentothebrain(yourmemory andconcentrationimprove)andstimulatethebloodcirculationthroughoutthebody. Yawning,sighing,growling,grunting,humming,singing,shouting,laughingandcryingare alsoinvaluableways(usedspontaneouslybysmallchildren)ofreleasingyourbreathand expressingyouremotions(allemotionaltensionautomaticallyaffectsthebreathingby blockingitinaninspiratoryposition). Learningtorelax Instantrelaxation willenableyoutorestoreyourenergyanywhereandatanytime,inonly afewminutes. Todothis,settleyourselfinacomfortableposition,sittingorlyingdown.Closeyoureyes. Carryoutanisometriccontractionofallyourmusclesandthenbreathedeeply. Witheachexhalationletyourtiredness,worriesandtensionsflowoutthroughyourheelsinto thedepthsoftheearth. Pauseattheendofeachexhalation,beforeallowingtheairtoflowbackintoyourlungs bringingtranquillity,peaceandsilence. Duringthepauseaftereachinhalation feel thespacewithinyourwholebody. Thenvisualiseyourselfinan idealrelaxingenvironment (bythesea,ariver,spring,forest, mountain,island,cave,nest,etc.)whereyouarecompletelyrelaxed.Hereareafewexamples ofscenesthatyoucouldvisualise:ababblingbrook,fluffycloudsinabluesky,waves breakingontheshore,asymphonyconcert,agardenfullofsweetlyscentedflowers,the differentcoloursofarosegarden,tropicalfishinanaquarium,etc. Inthisplace,usetheenergyofthecolourstorestoreyourenergy.Forexample,imaginea magnificentrainbow:breatheinthecolourasiftheairyouwerebreathingwascoloured whichcorrespondstoyourneedsofthemoment(welcomewhatflowsintoyoubytrusting yourintuition)andallowittospreadthroughyourbody. Then,asyoubreatheout,letitflowoutthroughyourheels. Returntoeverydayrealitybystretchingvoluptuously. 2.Expressingyourheart
Wehavejustseenhowitisnecessarytomaintainasatisfactorylevelofvitalityinorderto experiencethePOWEROFBEING,i.e.toallowthemindtocompletely inhabit thebody, tobeawareofyourselfthroughandbymeansofyourbody. Thesecond mission oftheInitiatedisto expresstheirheart ,i.e.togivefreereintotheir emotionsinordertoexperiencethePOWEROFLOVE. Ouremotionsneedtoflow,likethebloodflowingthroughourveins.Whenthearteriesofour emotionsareblocked,whenourheartisclosed,ourlifelacksintensityandpassion.Tryingto lovewithoutallowingyouremotionstoflowisliketryingtodriveacarwithoutanypetrolin thetank. Intodayssociety,manyofushaveunfortunatelylearnedfromaveryearlyagetoblock, suppressordenymanyofouremotions.Expressingouremotionsfreelyisoftenregardedas synonymouswith suffering ,sotoavoidbeinghurtwesimplydonttaketheriskof expressingthem. Wegetusedtolivinginastateofemotionalinertia,asortofpervasivenumbnesswhichacts asaprotectiveshieldagainstsuffering,butwhichpreventsusexperiencingthejoyoflivingin thepresent. Infact,thereisnopointintryingtoescapefromouremotionssincetheywillemergesooner orlater,inonewayoranother,howeverhardwetrytoresistordenythem. Emotionsreallyexist:theyarenotthoughtsthatcanbesimplydismissed.Theyarenot abstractconceptssincetheyaretheuofuniversalcosmicenergy,thisfundamentalenergy whichanimatesusandwhichcertainpeoplerefertoasSuperiorConsciousness,Supreme Power,CreationorevenGod. Unexpressed,repressedorsuppressed,thisenergybecomestoxic.Itsurfacesintheformof swellings,growths,clots,tumours,spasms,migrainesandallkindsofotherphysical ailments. Recently,agreatdealofscientificresearchhasshownthattherepressionoftheemotionshas seriousrepercussionsonhealth.Itisawell-knownfactthatpeoplewhotendtorepresstheir emotionsaremuchmorepredisposedtoillnessthanthosewhodont. Theonlyreallyhealthysolutionistotakeafirmholdonyouremotions,togettoknowthem, takepossessionofthemandlearntoexperienceandexpressthemasandwhentheyoccur. Initiateshaveunderstoodthisforalongtime. The5basicemotionsfromwhichallothersoriginateare:fear,anger,sadness,joyand compassion. Thesebasicemotionsareessentialtooursurvivalandgeneralwellbeing.Thechallengeisnot totranscendthem,buttotransformyourrelationshipwiththem.Youneedtoregardyour emotionsasfriendsandexpressthemclearlyandfrankly. Onecouldtaketheattitudethattherearetwosortsofemotions:positive(good)andnegative (bad),andthatitisthereforedesirabletopromotethegoodonesandsuppressthebadonesby risingabove(transcending)them.

Sincetimeimmemorial,non-InitiateshavewronglyconfusedIllumination(Spiritual Awakening, Paradise )withthe transcendence oftheemotions.Whytranscendsomething whichisreal,whichispartoflife?Whydontwewanttoexperienceouremotions? Letmetellyouaverybasicsecret:youremotionsarenotintrinsicallypositiveornegative; theyarequitesimplytheelementsofyourvitalenergy,eachwithitsownvibrationandits ownfunction. Eachofthese5emotionsisinfactanenergythatvibratesatacertainlevelandintensity. Thisenergymustbeabletoflowfreelyforyoutoabletoreallyliveinthepresent. Letsconsiderthismoreclosely. Fear Fearisauseful,andevenindispensable,emotion.Itputsyouonyourguard,catalysesyour sensesandintensifiesyourawareness.Althoughitmayseemstrangeatfirst,fearisyour friend.Itistheradarthatpicksuponeverythingandguidesyouonyourjourneythroughlife. Itisthebasicinstinctofhumansurvival,onthephysical,mentalandspirituallevel.Itisvital tohaveaveryacutesenseofwhatcanconstituteathreattoyourwellbeing.Sensitive,welladjustedantennaeindicateanyformofdanger,enablingyoutoidentifythethreatsasthey occurandtodealwiththem. Butthedangersignalsemittedbyfeararesuffocatedifyouhavedevelopedaformof behaviourdesignedtodenyorsuppressthisemotion.Bynotpayingattentiontothese particularsignalsoffear,thisenergyisdispersedandtransformedintoageneralparanoia,a sortofever-present chronicmistrust. Thisiswhymanypeoplearesubconsciouslytransfixedbyfear.Theyareasitwereafraidof fear,whichpreventsthemtransformingitintopositiveenergy. Suddenlytheyareafraidofeverything:losingtheirjob,losingtheirlovedone,losingtheir life.Theyareafraidofsuccess,afraidofbeingtoohappy,afraidofthetruth,afraidoffeeling anything,afraidofmoving,afraidofchange. Haveyounevernoticed(andfeltwithinyou)howunexpressedfeargripsatyourthroat,neck, lowerback,raisestheshoulders,stiffensthejaw,furrowsthebrow,immobilisesthepelvis andlockstheknees? Thevariouspartsofthebodybearthemarkoffear,butwearesousedtoitthatweare impervioustoitsmessagescryingouttobenoticed.Thisall-invasivefearaccumulatesand expands,paralysingourvitalenergyandpetrifyingouremotions. Thereisnoneedtobeafraidoffearperse,orfeelinhibitedorimmobilisedbyyourfears. Instead,givethemtheattentiontheydeserveandallowthemtoexpressthemselvesasand whentheyoccur.Inthisway,theenergyoffearisreleasedintherightmanner. Anger Angerisareactiondesignedtoprotectyourintegritywhenyoufeelyourpersonalboundaries havebeencrossed,whenyoufeel invaded. Angerisawayofsaying NO toaninjusticeor aviolation. Justifiedangerisimmediate,clearandrequiresnoexplanation.Itislikethebaredteethofa bitchprotectingherlitter.Realangerisfocusedonaveryspecificobjectandisperfectly

justified.Byexpressingit,youexposewhatisinappropriateanddefendyourintegrityina waythatisbeneficialtoeveryoneconcerned. Interiorisedandrepressedangerisawidespreadphenomenoninoursociety,andleadsto familyviolence,crime,allkindsofmisplacedaggression,warsateverylevelanddestruction causedbygesturesofdespair.Angeristheleastacceptableandthereforethemostrepressed emotioninoursociety. Thephysicalsignsofrepressedangercanbeseeneverywhere:tensejaws,clenchedfists, stiffenedbacks,juttingchins,raisedvoicesandblazingeyes. Ifonlywelearnedtogetangryintherightway,spontaneously,protectingourterritoryagainst arealthreatofinvasion,angerwouldbeanappropriateresponse,asuitablereactionto resolvethechallengeswewerefacing,aremedydevoidofnegativeeffects.Insteadittendsto beachronicillnesswhosepowerlessnessisultimatelydestructive. OnthepathofInitiation,itisthereforeextremelyimportanttoexpressyourangerandnotto leaveitburiedandtrappedwithinyou.Youwillalsonoticethatwhenyouexpressyouranger properly,itisfollowedbyafeelingofcompassionbecauseyoucanunderstandwhatdrove theotherpersontocrossyourboundaries.Angerthenbecomesanappropriateformof compassion. Exercisesfortransforminganger: Pileuppillowsandcushionsthatyoucanhitwithallyourstrength.Takeadeepbreathand thenuseyourfistsandfeettohitandkickashardasyoucanasyoubreatheout. Ideallydothissomewherewhereyouwontbedisturbed(andwhereyouwontdisturbthose aroundyou).Letyourselfgo,shout,yellandinsultthecushions.Repeattheexerciseasmany timesasnecessarytogetridofyourpent-upanger. Remember,yousimplyneedtomakecontactwiththeenergyofthe injuredchildwithin you andtohavethecouragetocrossthe ridiculebarrier. Youwillfindthisexerciseis extremelysalutaryandhasanumberofbenefits. Onthesamebasis,youcanunburdenyourselfbywriting angerletters. Forexample,you cankeepasortofjournalwhereyouwritedowneverythingthatsickensyouandmakesyou angry. Sadness Sadnessistheemotionalrelaxationorreleasethatoccurswhenyourexpectationsandwishes arenotfulfilled.Thetensionofexpectationandintentionmeltlikesnowinthesun.Sadness hurtsbecauseitimplieslettinggoofsomethingyouareattachedto(whetheritisagoodnight kiss,agoldmedalorarelationship)andasenseoflossthatyouhavetolivewith. Weallknowtheoutwardsignsofsadness:adejectedexpression,a longface ,ahunched back,slumpedshoulders,armshangingbythesides,feetdraggingalongthegroundandpoor diction.Itisasifthepersonsentirebodyis fading. Weobviouslycombatsadnesswithallourmightbecausewewanttobehappy.Andwe conclude(alltoorapidly!)thattobehappywehavetoavoidsadness.Infact,itisquitethe opposite;itisonlybyacceptingtheinevitabilityofsadnessthatwecanachievetrue happiness.Forsadnessisthehealthywaytoreacttotheinevitabledisappointmentsoflife.

Sadnessthereforebringsyouintocontactwiththemostvulnerablepartofyourself;itisan energyofrelease,likeastormthatbreaksthetensionandclearstheair.Itisabeneficial emotionwhichisessentialtoenableyourBEINGtoremainfluidandabletorespondtothe changesthatoccurinlife. Itisimportanttounderstandthatitisneverdesirabletorepressyourrealwishesand aspirationssimplytoavoidthesufferingthatoccursiftheyarenotfulfilled.Byavoiding sadness,youonlyexperienceasuperficialhappinessandleadthekindof mechanical life thatsometimesconcealsasubjacentdepression. Asyouknow,childrencryalot.Theydoggedlypersistintryingtoacquiresomethingthey havebeenrefusedandbegintobawlasasignofprotest.Lifecontinuallydisappointsthem andtheymakenoattempttoconcealtheirunhappiness.Oncetheyhavecried,itsoverand donewith,leavingnotraceofdepression. Whenwerepressouremotions,lifestagnates! Whenlifedisappointsyouanddeniesyourdearestwishes,sadnessisanappropriateresponse sinceitspurifyingenergyreleasestherestofyouremotions.Andwhenyoulearntoexpress yoursadness,youwillfindthatjoyinevitablymakesanappearance! Joy Joyistheexpansiveenergyofdynamicwellbeing.Itelates,makesyoureyesshine,putsa springinyourstep,makesyourwholebeingradiant.Itisintrinsicallygenerous,relaxedand open.Itcomeswhenyouremotionalenergyisfreetoreactappropriatelytotheexperiences youencounter. Thinkofthenaturaleuphoriathatyoufeelwhenyouaredancing,runningorperformingany otherphysicalactivity,atthepointwhenyourwholebodyismovingonitsown,effortlessly, naturally,likeananimals? Thiskindofhappinesscanonlyoccurwhenfear,angerandsadnessarefreelyexpressed. Joyisasimportantastheotheremotions,andperhapsevenmoreso.Itcures,strengthensand restoresconfidenceinwhatyourinnerlifeshouldbe. Whenyouexperiencejoy,spontaneitycomesofitsownaccord,andyounolongeravoidthe fearofthepresentbyalwayswantingtobesomewhereelse,inanothersituation,inthepastor anuncertainfuture. Compassion Youexperiencecompassiononceyouhaveexperiencedfear,anger,sadnessandjoy.When theseemotionsformpartofyoureverydaylife,youbecomemoreawareoftheminother peopleandbegintounderstandotherpeoplesmotives. Also,becauseyouarenolongerinconflictwithyourself(becauseyouhavelearnedto expressyouremotionsastheyoccur),youarenolongertemptedtothreaten(consciouslyor unconsciously)thevitalspaceofothers.Insodoing,yougivethemtheopportunitytostop beinginvadedbytheirfears. Inshort,youarenowabletogivepeopleexactlywhattheyneed,whichautomaticallyopens thedoortosuccessandprosperityforyou(rememberthis,itiscrucial!)

Whatiscompassion?Compassionisnotalwaysacaress,itissometimesaslapintheface. Compassionisbeingabletofeelwhatanotherpersonisfeelingwhileremainingsufficiently detachedtounderstandtheirneedsandtoknowwhattodoorsay. Althoughyoucanexperienceanotherpersonspain,joyorfear,theyarenotyouremotions. Theyarerathertheemotionsthat connect youtothatperson.Ifyougenuinelyfeel compassionforsomeonewhoisafraid,youwillnobeafraid.Youwillfeeltheirfearandbe abletoestablisharelationshipwiththatperson. Peopleusuallyformafalseideaofcompassion:theythinkbeingcompassionatemeans feelingdevastatedforotherpeople.Beingcompassionatemeansgivingtheotherpersonwhat theyneed,whichisnotalwaysthesameasgivingthemwhattheywant. Forexample,imagineamanwhoisverysad.Compassiondoesnotmeanpersuadinghimto stopfeelingsadandpretendthateverythingisallright(ifeverythingwereallright,he wouldntbesad!).Itmeansfeelingthedepthofhissadnessandtellinghimthathehasto passthroughit andnottrytoskirtroundoravoidit,andpossiblycrywithhimorsmileat himtoshowyouhaverecognisedhissadness. Manypeoplethinkitwoulddepletetheirsupplyofenergytogivesomethingofthemselves. Infact,itobviouslyrequiresagreatdealmoreenergytomaintainanattitudeofcold indifferencethantosimplybeguidedbyyouremotions. Themistakeistoequateemotionalenergywithfuelinthesensethatthemoreyouuseitor makeagiftofit,thelessyouhave. Quitetheopposite!Thisenergyisnotacommoditythatdiminisheswithuse.Liketheblood inyourveins,itneedstoflow,tobeusedinordertoregenerateandkeepyouhealthy.You dontsaveanythingbyaccumulatingemotionalenergywithinyousinceitisultimately harmfulfortheorganism. Recentpsychologicalstudiesinfactindicatethatbeingkindtoothershasdefinite physiologicaladvantages:thesegesturesthatcomefromdeepwithinyourheartconstitutea tonicandnaturalformofreleaseforthebody. Itisessentialtobeabletohelpthoseclosetoyou(yourpartner,children,friends)toexpress theiremotionsinaneffectivemanner.Compassionhelpsotherstomakecontactwiththeir trueemotionstheirvitalenergytobringthemintotheopenandexposethefalse (simulated)emotions. Nowyouunderstandwhyitissoimportanttoexpressyouremotions,tobeableto livein yourheart, sincethisenablesyoutoliveinthepresentandexperiencethemiraculous POWEROFLOVE. AndLOVEisuniversalenergy,thekeythatopensalldoors,asifbymagic,includingthe doortosuccessandprosperity.Byopeninguptotheenergyoflove,youwillautomatically experienceprosperity,goodfortune,harmonyandhappiness. Whenyouthinkaboutit,yourealisethatwedependonsingersinthesensethattheyprovide uswithanalmostconstantsupplyofemotionalenergy.Whiletheartofthesingerliesin showingushowtoexploretherangeofouremotions,youcanreleasetheseemotionsby discoveringthe singerthatliesdormantwithinyou. Singingisasimpleandimmediatewayofreleasingtheflowofyouremotionsandallowing themtoflowdayafterday.Itisnotacaseofbecomingaprofessionalsingerbutsimplya humanbeingfunctioningtotheirfullpotential. Exercises: Initially,youcandothiseasilybysingingalongwiththesingersyoulikeandwithwhomyou identify.Findsongsandmusicwhichbringyouintocontactwithfear,anger,sadness,joyand compassion. Singasoftenasyoucan:athome,intheshower,doingthehousework,oddjobs,atthewheel ofyoucar,etc. Ifyouareafraidtosing,orofsingingoutoftune,humfreelyanddeeplyallowingthesound torisefromthepitofyourstomach.Feelitvibratingthroughoutyourbody.Humfromyour chest,fromyourheart.Finallyhumthehighestnotes,allowingthesoundtovibrateinyour head. Thenyoucanletthehummingbecomeatune.Allowyourselftobecarriedalongbyyour singing,followitintothedepthsofyourheartandyouwillfeelyoursoul tremble. Sometimes,wordswillcome,sometimesnot.Thisdoesntmatter.Allyouhavetodoislet thesoundrisefromyourstomachandvibratethroughoutyourentirebody. Thissoundisthe songofyourheart. Whatisthemind?Themindiseverythingconnectedtoyourintellectualfacultiesand psychologicalfunctions. Thethird mission oftheInitiatedisto cleartheirmind inordertoexperiencethe POWEROFKNOWLEDGE. Knowledgeofwhat,Ihearyousay?Knowledgeofyourself,whichmeansdiscoveringyour realpersonality,yourtrue self ,theselfthatliesbeneaththeveneerofeducational,cultural andsocialconditioning. artificialeducationistransmittedinadvertentlybypeoplewhohavethemselvesbeen artificiallyorientatedandwhoaresufferingasaconsequence.Condemningothersisnevera solution:wecanonlyworkonourselvestorectifythesituation. Itisthereforenecessarytohaveamajor clear-out inourmindtoenableittoachieveitsfull potentialandtrueself-knowledge,apersonalwisdomthatisonlyachievedbyandfor yourself.
