Notice:the data show that the failure of drilled wells in the area due to offstructural well locations.
EE857well: the target was RahaFm (Cenomanian "Late Cretaceous") and Nubia
sandstone. A massive igneous body was entered at -9691 ft above top Thebes in probable fault contact. A major fault was crossed at -11125 ft which cut out the entire Pre-Senonian Cretaceous section and the Paleozoic, so they were missed and no zones of interest were noted.

Source Rocks :
Multi source rock units, mainly associated with Thebes and Brown limestone formations.
RESERVOIRS :
- Nubian sandstone of Paleozoic to lower Cretaceous age. - Kareem, Rudeis and Nukhul sands of Miocene.
SEALS :
- Basement involved fault can indeed serve as an effective seal. - The Miocene evaporites and shales.
