Firewall Solution
A firewall limits a networks exposure to unauthorized access by limiting the number of external, inbound entry points. Network devices inside the firewall remain hidden from any computer that is outside the firewall. For a remote user outside the firewall to connect to an Dstor Card that is inside the firewall using a browser, the network must be configured to allow inbound and outbound traffic on the Dstor Card TCP port 80. For a growing number of organizations, exposing additional entry points to their networks for remote access is a security concern, and administrators are hesitant to open access to the Dstor Card TCP port 80. If you have an environment in which a firewall is configured to block Dstor Card TCP port 80, you can adopt a VPN solution combined PAT (IP Forwarding). The remote user can control an Dstor Card as follows: Connect to the network using a trusted VPN. Access the private IP of Dstor Card by Internet browser (Exam IE).
Method: By Port Application (port): 80 Port Type: TCP Single/Range: Single Local Server IP: 192.168.1.253 Click <Add> button to add this configuration

If the public TCP port 80 is not used, you can set as following: Name: The name referencing the Dstor Card. Private IP: 192.168.1.253 Private Port: 80. Protocol Type: TCP Public Port: 80 else if public TCP port 80 is used, you can set as following: Name: The name referencing the Dstor Card. Private IP: 192.168.1.253 Private Port: 80. Protocol Type: TCP Public Port: 8000 Access the Dstor Card over the Internet: You just enter http://60.16.200.18 or http://60.16.200.18:8000 by IE browser.

If the public TCP port 80 is not used, you can set as following: Application: HTTP. Ext. Port: 80. TCP UPD : TCP Int Port: 80. Private IP: 192.168.1.253 Enable: Yes else if public TCP port 80 is used, you can set as following: To select a blank row at the bottom (there are three blank rows) Name: Dstor Card 1. Ext. Port: 8000. TCP UPD : TCP Int Port: 80. Private IP: 192.168.1.253 Enable: Yes Access the Dstor Card over the Internet: You just enter http://60.16.200.18 or http://60.16.200.18:8000 by IE browser. Setting Linux-based Router If the public TCP port 80 is not used, you can set as following: Iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 80 -j DNAT --to 192.168.1.253:80 else if public TCP port 80 is used, you can set as following: Iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 8000 -j DNAT --to 192.168.1.253:80
Using VPN
If you can establish a VPN tunnel from the Internet to your office, you can control the power of computer equipped with Dstor Card just like you do in the LAN.

The wizard has assigned automatically a recommended IP address and subnet mask to the eRPower Unit. You can change
Notice: if there is no any Dstor Card be found in the LAN, please go back to Step 2 to check network installation. Installation finish
