Embedded within the Epicor framework, Auto\Label Print Control offers tremendous power and flexibility based on the data being executed within a specific transaction. Auto\Label Print Control allows the automatic selection of a defined report or label format and the routing to a printer, all determined by the variable data within the transaction. Auto\Label Print Control is a productivity enhancing tool that streamlines business processes within your Epicor application while providing a toolset to meet customer specific requirements for labels and documentation. Functional setup includes the identification of network printers to be used and the definition of the Business Activity Manager (BAM) to parse the transactional conditions allowing for extreme flexibility of what to print, where to print, and when to print. For Auto ID compliance, Auto\Label Print Control integrates directly with Seagull Scientifics industry standard label printing engine, Seagull Scientific, Inc. Bartender.

PRINT RULES TIED TO REPORT DATA DEFINITION

Various print rules can be tied to a single data definition. Each rule contains print location, auto printer, print or preview, as well as quantity to print and a set of conditions for printing.

Auto\Label Print Control utilizes existing BAM framework for added flexibility in defining data triggers that initiate automated printing of forms and reports.
TIE TO EXISTING REPORTS AND DATA DEFINITIONS

Users can specify, for each business process used in auto printing, a set of conditions that drive the print function without user intervention. For example, you may need to provide a customer specific Shipping Label based on their requested format. By simply defining a label format and setting the BAM to look for the Customer ID in the associated transaction, Auto\Label Print Control will ensure the specific format is printed every time a transaction for that customer is completed. This provides a unique label or format based on the customer, part, freight method, quantity or any other value, all user-definable.
