Recommendations Based on the information of each network operating system, our recommendations, in order of preference, are Microsoft, Redhat and Sun Microsystems. Microsoft is our number one choice due to its compatibility, features, and support. Its compatible with Windows, Linux, Unix, and Mac clients. Microsoft network operating system provides integrated security and back up features that allow for easy maintenance of servers. Due to the overall popularity of Microsoft, support is easily accessed through the company and outside sources. Redhat is a solid network operating system that can be used in variety of different environments. The software is built to support over a hundred cores and terabytes of memory. It also comes packaged with a variety of tools to assist in scientific environments as well as in businesses. Businesses can deploy their data into virtual, physical, and cloud systems. Applications can be secured and put into the cloud environments to allow even more versatility. Our third recommendation is Sun Microsystems.
