oyal Lawns of America,

Inc., has been in business
for over 40 years and is
now in its second generation.
Michael Miller took over the
Wayne-based business from his
father and has continued to pro-
vide the community with the
same fine services that are in tune
with the environment.
The owner-operated, owner-
on-site business offers customers
the benefit of paying one price for
the whole year, and there are no
special contracts, or as Michael
stated, My work speaks for itself.
He added that, Im as close to
organic as I can be, treating pres-
ent problems with methods that
are environmentally-friendly.
Among the services are aeration,
seeding, fertilizing, weed control,
insect control, liming, fungus con-
trol, and IPM (Integrated Pest
Management), as listed below:
IPM - The most serious threats to
a beautiful lawn are weeds, dis-
ease, and insects. Because of the
variety and the diversity of appro-
priate treatments, they are most
difficult to control. Royal Lawns
provides expert weed and pest
controls, using only Environment
Protection Agency approved
materials that are scientifically
tested to be effective. Being con-
cerned with the environment,
Royal Lawns uses only minimal
amounts where needed to main-
tain control.
Aeration - To keep your lawn
healthy, it should be aerated at
least twice a year. The Royal
Lawns aeration techniques allow
air, light, water, and nutrients to
penetrate your lawn, promoting
root growth and helping to organ-
ically decompose an excessive
thatch layer more rapidly.
Re-Seeding - Areas of the lawn
that have been damaged or neg-
lected can be renewed by re-seed-
ing. We use quality disease-resist-
ant blends of bluegrass, fescue, and
rye grasses especially selected for
your lawns environment, improv-
ing the appearance and density of
your turf. This, in turn, helps
inhibit weed growth, said
Michael.
Fertilizer (granular) - A
thriving lawn requires properly
timed applications of complete,
balanced, slow-release fertilizers to
replace essential nutrients taken
from the soil. The fertilizers used
by Royal Lawns are designed to
feed your lawn from one service to
the next, and there is no surge

t's a common misconcep-
tion among women that in
order to look your best, you
need to devote ample time in
front of the mirror each morn-
ing. However, looking your
best from head-to-toe is much
simpler than it sounds. Polly
Blitzer, founder and editor in
chief of BeautyBlitz.com, has
teamed up with Crest 3D
White to offer a few beauty
shortcuts to help you create a
virtually flawless look!
Instant Beauty Pick-Me-Up
During the Work Week
With just a few quick fixes in
the morning, you can easily
appear more rejuvenated and
refreshed! All it takes is a pop
of color on your face - whether
it is on your eyes, cheeks or lips
- to give your overall beauty
look a complete boost. My per-
sonal secret beauty weapon for
a more energized look is a
bright lip color, particularly
cherry red or fuchsia.
Put Your Best Face Forward
With a Bright Smile
Transforming your smile to one
that is brighter and dazzling can
literally make heads turn, and a
simple way to update your
beauty look is to whiten your
teeth. From the No. 1 whiten-
ing brand recognized by top
beauty magazine editors, Crest
3D White is a staple in my
beauty routine. I recommend
using Crest 3D White
Professional Effects Whitestrips
along with Crest 3D White
Vivid Toothpaste and other
products in the 3D White col-
lection (Crest 3D White
MultiCare Whitening Rinse
and Oral-B Pulsar 3D White
Advanced Vivid Toothbrush ),
to start to see noticeably whiter
teeth after just one day!
Create An Effortless
Smokey Eye to Transition
From Day to Evening
When running from the office
to cocktails with friends, we
don't always have the time to
seamlessly transition to an
evening look with a full
makeover. However, just a few
swipes of eyeliner, shadow and
mascara can help you achieve a
show-stopping smokey eye in
little to no time at all! To get
this look in a hurry, rim your
lash line with black or gray eye-
liner. Then dust brown or gray
shadow all over your lid and
crease, making sure to blend
the color up and outward.
Lastly, to complete your hassle-
free dramatic eye look, apply
two coats of black volumizing
mascara and you're out the
door!
And Of Course, Don't
Forget to Stay Hydrated!
The best tip I have for always
looking your absolute best?
Stay hydrated by drinking at
least eight glasses of water each
day. This can sometimes be
challenging when you're on the
go and find yourself reaching
for a hot cup of java to keep
pushing through the day. To
help increase the amount of
water you're drinking, I recom-
mend squeezing fresh lemon
into the glass for a refreshing
taste.

these tips, please visit

beautyblitz.com.

T
uesday, March 13,
2012: Missing Golden
Goose, famed through-
out eternity, has been located
in Wayne, NJ at the offices of
American Prosperity Group.
Life and Leisure recently inter-
viewed Mr. Mark E. Charnet,
President and Founder of
American Prosperity Group
about his good fortune in cap-
turing The Golden Goose that
has eluded millions of people
for millennia.
L&L: How were you able to
lure The Golden Goose onto
your property and capture it?
APG: Thats very simple you
see. I was thinking about my
retirement years and contem-
plated how wonderful it would
be to own a Golden Goose
that would lay a golden egg
every first of the month for the
rest of my life and my wifes
life. It occurred to me that one
golden egg per month would
satisfy all of my financial
needs, especially with the price
of gold lately. I meditated for a
long time and decided, If it is
to be, its up to me, I must pos-
sess The Golden Goose.
L&L: So what was your plan
to get The Golden Goose?
APG: I felt that a systematic
approach of leaving small
equal deposits of a material
attractive to Golden Geese
planted every month on my
property would do the trick,
even though others thought I
was crazy. I didnt know how
much material to use, but,
determined that the larger the
deposit, the greater the oppor-
tunity; my Golden Goose
would appear.
L&L: How long did you plant
these deposits and is it too late
for the rest of us to do the same
thing?
APG: Capturing a healthy
Golden Goose requires great
discipline, patience, determi-
nation and vision. Larger and
fatter Geese produce the high-
est quality eggs, with the great-
est egg to cash conversion rate.
Its never too late to capture
your Golden Goose as there
are many Geese looking for a
warm home through this win-
ter and beyond. However, the
earlier you start your quest the
greater the odds of success
with Golden Goose
Gardening.
L&L: What do you feed your
new Golden Goose and if she
gets sick what will you do?
APG: It is impossible for my
Golden Goose to get sick.
Every month she can sit up
straight and deliver another
Golden Egg if I want or need
her to. She is immune from
disability, death, short-term ill-
ness, lawsuit liability issues,
long-term care claims, etc. She
never takes a vacation and will
be laying gold eggs for me
every month for the rest of my
life. I wish everyone had their
own Golden Goose to count
on to provide a first of the
month golden egg for them-
selves, and here is the best
part, they can.
L&L: Thats an amazing state-
ment Mark; can you back that
up and guarantee it?
APG: Actually, everyone
already possesses their own
Golden Goose in various
stages of development from
embryonic to fully mature.
Golden Geese cannot lay gold
eggs until they are fully grown
and that may take three or four
decades of nurturing and most
importantly, feeding. From our
personal labor, starting as
young adults, we must plant,
water and care for the nutri-
ents necessary for the attrac-
tion and growth of our own
Golden Goose. Every week,
every month, and every year
we must continually plant,
weed, prune, water and moni-
tor the progress of our Golden
Goose garden. It is best to do
this with the help of a Golden
Goose Garden Advisor,
(GGGA), who specializes in
Golden Goose raising, with a
proven track record of success.
In addition, the GGGA must
also possess expert skill in con-
structing the nest where the
eggs will rest and be hatched
every month with further skill
to protect, preserve and per-
petuate the nest and all of its
riches to succeeding genera-

T
he movies and TV can
bring humor, laughter,
and lightheartedness
to these seemingly serious
times we live in. Dentist jokes,
movie and TV roles are a
familiar subject as either the
target or situations we all can
relate to. I consider the ability
to laugh at oneself a great
release of seriousness, stress
and "good for the soul".

t's that time again! If you
are like many people, this
means it is time to pull out
the shorts, dust off the sneakers
and transform that flacid body
into a lean, mean running
machine. If, however, you are
like many more people, this
noble goal is short-lived, side-
lined by the all-too-common
overuse injuries that can plague
joggers and runners starting
back after a period of inactivity.
Three of the most com-
mon overuse injuries associated
with running are shin splints,
Achilles tendonosis and pain
around or behind the kneecap,
referred to as patellofemoral
stress syndrome. All three
develop as a result of repetitive
abnormal stresses applied over
a long period of time. These
abnormal stresses can be simply
doing too much, too hard, too
soon, or they may be associated
with specific muscle or joint
deficiencies, incorrect biome-
chanics, postural faults or other
musculoskeletal imbalances.
The good news is, as a general
rule, all three of these overuse
injuries usually respond well to
self-treatment:

Running injuries

ice massage, reduction in
mileage and avoidance of hills
and hard surfaces. Shin splints
associated with overpronation
are ultimately best managed
with orthotics. Calve and
Achilles tendon stretching is
important in rehabilitation, as
is general ankle and foot mobil-
ity. New running shoes that
provide adequate cushioning,
support and motion control
should be considered.
ACHILLES TENDONOSIS:
As Achilles overuse injuries are
now considered a degenerative
condition rather than inflam-
matory, frequent applications
of moist heat with the addition
of heel lifts, mileage and pace
reduction, and flat terrain run-
ning are recommended during
the acute phase. Orthotics and
new running shoes should also
be considered. Eccentric calve
muscle stretching must be gen-
tle, controlled and frequent,
and only after the acute inflam-
mation has subsided.
PATELLOFEMORAL
STRESS SYNDROME
Popularly known as runner's
knee or chondromalacia: this
is frequently the result of (1)
poor running mechanics asso-
ciated with overpronation, or
(2) muscular imbalances
between the quadriceps and
hamstrings or between the
medial and lateral quadricep
muscles. Recommended self-
treatment includes rest and ice
when acute, followed by cor-
rection of faulty bio-mechan-
ics and specific stretch/
strength exercises. Key muscle
groups to stretch are the
quadriceps, hip flexors, ham-
strings, popliteus (back of the
knee) and iliotibial band.
Many common running
injuries can be traced to
abnormal stresses caused by
postural faults and problems
with pelvic and spinal align-
ment. For example, a pelvis
that is rotated back on one
side will cause the opposite
foot to overpronate. Treat-
ment, then, must be directed
at improving this postural dis-
tortion before the pronation
problem can be corrected.
Chiropractic doctors specialize
in the detection and correc-
tion of such problems. For
guidance on the best treat-
ment of running injuries,
including self-treatment and
specific stretch/ strength exer-
cises, ask your chiropractor!

tions or all the toil and effort
that went into capturing that
familys Golden Goose will be
lost forever. And Yes, an insur-
ance company can guarantee*
the continual flow of monthly
golden eggs and the protection
necessary to pass the Golden
Goose on, free from predators
like the I.R.S., (The
Involuntary Recla-mation
Society)
L&L: I understand what you
are saying, but I am no longer
a young adult, with potentially
more years behind me than in
front of me. Is it too late for me
to work with a GGGA to cap-
ture a Golden Goose that can
lay a guaranteed gold egg for
me every month?
APG: Its never too late to
guarantee a gold egg each
month from your nest. The
only difference will be the size
and quality of your egg as com-
pared to the eggs produced by a
Golden Goose that has been
properly nourished over a
longer period of time. If you
have a few years or more before
you need your Goose to start
producing monthly golden
eggs, super nutrient packed
supplements are available
guaranteed* to bolster and fat-
ten the size of your Goose until
lifetime golden egg production
begins!
L&L: Is there a way to help
our children capture their
Golden Goose with less effort,
years and toil than my genera-
tion?
APG: Absolutely! Its called
the Five Gs, The Great
Guaranteed* Golden Goose
Gambit and is available from
your expert Golden Goose
Garden Advisor, GGGA.
Simply stated, by gift giving
into a Great Guaranteed*
Golden Goose Gambit
Irrevocable Trust, you can
accelerate the maturation
process of your childrens
Golden Goose by years or even
decades and free from the
reach of the Involuntary
Reclamation Society as well.
L&L: So in conclusion can
you summarize your message
for us today, Mark?
APG: We are all born into
the money game. Those who
master and apply the rules,
strategies and techniques of
the game earliest and
with vigor and focus,
profit best. The problem
I have found is that peo-
ple do not know where to
go for lessons or instruc-
tion on how to win or
even play the game prop-
erly. There are basically
three stages to the money
game; accumulation is
the first, generating con-
sistent income and cash
flow throughout our
retirement years is the
second and perpetuating our
portfolio and net worth for
future generations is the third.
The Golden Goose is merely a
metaphor for the responsibili-
ty thrust upon all of us to pro-
vide for ourselves and our
families to the best of our abil-
ities always! All APG repre-
sentatives offer educational
classes, seminars and work-
shops to educate the public
with no cost, no commitments
or obligations. We never
charge fees for consultations
and we will design a personal-
ized retirement, estate and
portfolio protection plan for
all participants of our educa-
tion programs, also, without
charge. Everyone is urged to
attend and learn how to cap-
ture their own Golden Goose
and the lifetime of golden eggs
it can produce. Watch this
paper for our workshop
announcements and be the
first to call to reserve your
seats or call me anytime if you
have a specific question or
need for retirement or estate
planning.

growth or burning, just steady
greening and a thicker, more
beautiful lawn.
Liming - The application
of lime increases the granula-
tion of soil, improving its phys-
ical structure and air-to-water
ratio, helping your lawn toler-
ate drought conditions. Liming
increases the availability of
many plant nutrients, making
fertilizers more effective and
helping to reduce weeds by cre-
ating conditions more favorable
to grass growth.
Fungus control - Since
fungus problems are derived
mostly from weather condi-
tions, maintaining a strong
lawn through treatment,
watering, and proper mowing
makes your lawn more natural-
ly resistant to fungus prob-
lems. However, in appropriate
conditions, fungicides may be
used to help reduce damage
caused by cell deterioration
from fungus.

W
eight gain is not
just a problem in
people; pets are
packing on the pounds
too. Staying in shape is much
easier if viewed as preventa-
tive medicine than trying to
drop the unwanted pounds.
Putting your pet on the
scale and concentrating on
that number is not the best
way to evaluate if the pet is
overweight. Body condition
scores and the pet's appear-
ance are much better at assess-
ing obesity. The pet is scored
by looking at its overall build,
the amount of fat overlying its
ribs, and its waist. You should
be able to feel your pet's ribs
easily without pressing, but
you should not be able to see
the ribs from across the room.
Your pet's torso, viewed from
above, should resemble an
hourglass.
This is an important
topic because an overweight
pet is not a healthy pet.
Obesity commonly leads to
diabetes, heart problems, and
arthritis. Keeping your pet at a
healthy weight can literally
add years to their life.
As the weather is getting
a bit warmer, here are some
exercise tips.
Getting your dog or cat
to fetch. Most dogs get fun
and enjoyment out of a simple
game of fetch. Some cats also
fetch but they can also get
enjoyment from string toys or
laser light toys, even if it gets
them off the couch for 5-10
minutes.
Jogging for fitness. Dogs
can make great jogging part-
ners. Be sure you have a dog
that is the right temperament
that makes him suitable as a
running partner. To get the
best out of your jogging, do
not use a regular leash, your
arm could be pulled out of its
socket. Its best to buy or make
a hands free running leash
that ties securely around your
waist.
Dogs love swimming.
Swimming is a great exercise
for dogs. It's low-impact, so
there's no stress on the
joints of older or arthritic
dogs. It also helps to exercise
all muscles at the same time.
The majority of dogs are
natural swimmers, and
younger dogs learn to enjoy
it.
Dog walking for fitness.
Walking is a great exercise for
both humans and dogs alike,
as long as you walk together.
Use a leash unless you're in a
safe, fenced in area. For walk-
ing after dark, you can buy a
leash with a combination
retractable lead and flashlight.
Dog agility training. In
agility training, a handler
guides a dog without its lead
through an obstacle course
consisting of jumps and tun-
nels, plus weaving around
poles and teeter-totters.
Setting up an agility course in
your garden can be great fun
and a good way for your dog to
get regular exercise.
All these activities can
help make your pet more fit,
healthier and build a stronger
bond with your pet.

I
t is not a secret that we live
in a toxic world. There are
toxins in the food we eat,
the water we drink and the air
we breathe. One of the secrets
to anti-aging and good health
is the knowledge of how to
detoxify our bodies and protect
it from our toxic environment.
Why? The more toxins you are
exposed to, the more your
immune system is compro-
mised. You feel bad and age
fast.
Cleansing and detoxifica-
tion have been around for cen-
turies. A full body cellular
cleanse is essential but the
main organs involved in
cleansing the body are the
bowels, kidneys, lungs, liver
and blood.
A toxin or impurity is
anything that can harm the
cells or the function of the cells
in your body. They can cause
disease or irreversible damage.
The body is a natural healer
and cleanser, but once our sys-
tem becomes overloaded our
bodies cannot keep up and
toxins begin to accumulate.
Our bodies wreak havoc on our
normal processes causing aller-
gies, sensitivity and addictions.
Toxins can be anything
from pesticides, herbicides,
food additives, drugs, medica-
tions and even secondary
smoke. About 30,000 synthet-
ic substances are produced on a
commercial scale and hardly
any are ever tested for toxicity.
The molecular structures of
toxins are very carcinogenic
and can affect new cell growth
and our immune systems. The
World Health Organization
has said that in over 60 to 80
percent of cancer cases, long
term exposure to environmen-
tal toxic chemicals are the
cause.
There are several differ-
ent types of toxins. Heavy
metal toxins can be lead, mer-
cury, cadmium, arsenic, nickel
and aluminum. These metals
like to accumulate in the
brain, kidneys and impair the
immune system. The most
common heavy metal poison-
ing is from lead, mercury and
aluminum, released into our
atmosphere and deposited on
our crops and soil and into our
water supply.
Heavy metal toxicity has
been linked to Parkinson's,
Alzheimer's and severe neuro-
logical disorders.
Other sources can be lead
in pesticides, aluminum in
cooking utensils, cookware,
deodorants, soda cans and
even antacids. Mercury in con-
taminated fish and dental fill-
ings are also toxic.
It is no secret that severe
toxicity can lead to death, so
be vigilant because the early
signs of heavy metal poisoning
can easily be attributed to
other diseases. Such symptoms
can be headaches, fatigue,
muscle pain, indigestion,
tremors, impaired memory and
distorted thinking.
The liver is the major
detoxification center of the
body. It is the body's filter and
removes foreign substances
and wastes from the blood. It
reduces toxins into compounds
that the body can safely
remove through the kidneys,
skin, bowels and lungs. Some
of the toxins that are filtered
by the liver include alcohol,
herbicides, and pesticides. The
symptoms of liver toxicity can
include psychological and neu-
rological illnesses such as
depression, headache, mental
confusion, mental illness,
abnormal nerve reflexes and
tingling in the hands.
Optimal liver function
and health is the key for good
health.
Toxins can also be pro-
duced by unwanted bacteria
and yeast in the stomach.
Once absorbed these toxins
can cause a complete break-
down of bodily functions.
These toxins have been linked
to many diseases, including

W
hen I watch chil-
dren play I am
always amazed to
discover the endless energy
they have. Children possess a
natural proclivity toward
physical activity and are
designed to burn energy.
Unfortunately, todays tech-
nology is diverting that ener-
gy to screen time activities
such as TV, video games and
computers.
A recent study on phys-
ical activity has shown that
three- year- old children
spend an average of only
20 to 25 minutes a day
participating in active
play, while only a third
spend the conservatively
recommended time of 60
minutes. Other studies
have shown that active
children have fewer
chronic health problems,
have higher self- esteem
and are better able to
meet the demands of
daily physical activity
than sedentary children. So
how do we get our kids off
the couch and outside play-
ing?
The best motivators to
get children moving are par-
ents. Children look to par-
ents to set examples on
almost everything including
leading a physically active
lifestyle. Parents should try
to have their children partic-
ipate in some form of physi-
cal activity every day by
replacing sedentary time
with active time. Parents
need to remember: exercise
should be fun. Parents
should concentrate on the
positive aspects of exercise
by using praise when chil-
dren try new things and
should avoid embarrassing or
scolding them. Once chil-
dren become accustomed to
the benefits of exercise, they
will most likely make fitness
a lifelong commitment.
An easy way to incorpo-
rate physical activity into
your familys lifestyle is by
planning family outings.
Something as simple as going
to the park, taking a nature
trail hike or even going to
the mall gets children mov-
ing. Other ideas to get your
children in motion are:
-Go for a bike ride.
-Take a swim. Use kick-
boards, floating devices and
have relay races.
-Go to the playground.
Encourage your younger chil-
dren to use the monkey bars,
swings and jungle gyms.
These activities build core
and upper body strength.
-Use chalk to draw a hop-
scotch board on the driveway
so they can practice their
jumping and hopping skills.
-Play jump rope, kickball and
tag.
-Have them help rake leaves.
-In colder weather set up an
obstacle course in your base-
ment involving, crawling,
climbing, rolling and tum-
bling. Be creative and award
a prize when it is completed.
-Play Simon Says to get your
children to do various
stretches and exercises.
For school age children
encourage them to join a
team sport like soccer, base-
ball or field hockey enabling
them to stay active on a reg-
ular basis. Be aware that in
order to avoid injury to grow-
ing muscles, children should
have both warm up and cool
down sessions involving
some basic stretches.
Furthermore, if your child is
sedentary and joining a team
sport, let the coach know.
Coaches should be develop-
ing training programs that
consider the age and ability
level of the child. In addi-
tion, each child should have
a physical before playing in a
sport to make sure that the
child has no conditions that
would limit participation.

I
t can be difficult to envi-
sion warm summer days
when the wind is blowing.
However, the chilly months
are a great time to explore
summer camp options. In fact,
many camps have strict enroll-
ment timelines that require
decisions to be made prior to
spring.
Attending summer camp
has been a tradition in the
United States for more than
150 years. Statistics indicate
that around 30 million
American kids attend summer
camp each year. There are
many benefits to summer
camp. Camp enables children
to stay engaged during the
summer when there may be
limited interaction with
school friends. It also gives
parents both a safe and viable
daycare solution during the
summer.
Summer camp pulls
together children from differ-
ent neighborhoods, social
classes and backgrounds,
which can make it a good
place to meet new people --
some of whom may become
lifelong friends. Camps also
provide a variety of activities
that can challenge children to
try new things that go beyond
their comfort zones.
Some children are very
receptive to the idea of attend-
ing summer camp. Others
need a little coaxing. But sum-
mer camp should never be
forced on a child who does not
want to go. In such instances,
consider local daytime pro-
grams that may fill the void
instead of programs that
require being away from home.
Once the decision for summer
camp is made, there are some
questions to answer.
What are your finances like?
Do you have a budget for
summer camp?
What size camp do you
desire?
Should the camp be co-ed
or single sex?
How far do you want your
child to travel for summer
camp? What are the options
in your area?
Are there any camps that
have been recommended by
friends or family members?
What kinds of activities do
your children enjoy?
These types of questions will
help you narrow down your
options. Then you can visit
and interview camps to find
one that is the best fit. When
visiting camps, go armed with
a checklist of questions. Some
of these can include:
What is the philosophy of
the camp?
Can you explain a typical
day?
What are the types of activi-
ties and facilities offered?
What is the camper-to-
counselor ratio?
What is the camp's
drug/alcohol policy?
Does the camp have insur-
ance and security personnel?
What percentage of staff
return each year? How are
staff selected and trained?
What kind of health care is
provided?
Can you tell me about the
policy on phone calls and
family visits?

What do you do in the
event of emergencies?
There are many different
camps available. Some offer a
"little bit of everything."
Others cater to academics,
sports, specific hobbies or even
religious preferences. Don't
wait too long to research and
sign up for camps because
many fill up quite early or have
an extensive waiting list. That
is why choosing a camp should
be part of a winter to-do list.

S
pring is rapidly
approaching and so is
spring clean-up. Soon
the flowers will emerge from
sleeping buds and rain will
revitalize the discolored grass
to its glorious green. The
moment your lawn begins to
grow again everyone will start
searching for lawn mowers,
weed whackers, and garden
supplies. The kids will soon
start looking for their bikes,
roller blades, hockey sticks,
skate boards, balls and every-
thing else you can throw in a
garage. And what about beach
gear: chairs, umbrellas, sand
toysetc. It always seems
that spring catches us off-
guard each year no matter
how much we anticipate it.
Thats why you need a strong
durable organizational system.
You need Monkey Bars
Storage!
Started in 2002 by a man
who simply wanted to reclaim
his garage, Monkey Bars
Storage Systems is the clear
choice for anyone looking to
do the same! They provide
you with the resources and
organization to start your
garage fresh. Hooks, shelves,
even new flooring are all part
of the project. The most
impressive part of the Monkey
Bars service is, they do every-
thing for you. You select
the style and they per-
form the overhaul! A
typical garage installation
takes about four hours,
after which Monkey Bars
will take the time to
organize your garage for
you.
The Monkey Bars
Storage System is proud
to offer products that are
built to last. Offering
strength, versatility and
affordability, their prod-
ucts are the clear choice
for any storage problem.
Garage storage hooks are one
of their more popular prod-
ucts, providing a simple and
compact location to hang
anything from shovels to
sleds. Monkey Bars sells a
large variety for an even larger
variety of uses. Wide, double,
narrow, and J hooks are all
available and ready to be used
for your garage storage needs.
Whether you need a 3 hook,
a 12 hook or something in
between, itll be here. If youre
going to organize your garage,
youll also need shelving.
Monkey Bars has all sorts of
variations of garage storage
shelves. Portable shelves, drop
down units, inverted shelves,
and your classic 16-24
shelves are all key compo-
nents to garage efficiency.
In addition to successful-
ly creating efficiency and satis-
faction in the garage, Monkey
Bars Storage is proud to offer
some of the industrys best cus-
tomer service. Rather than
dealing with a national sales-
man, youre able to be indirect
contact with your locations
personal dealer. John Driesse is
responsible for the North
Jersey segment of Monkey
Bars. Driesse is excited to
share the advantages of the
product line and more than
happy to help you create an
organized storage space.
John himself found the
Monkey Bars product while
looking for an affordable
garage shelving/storage system
for his own home. I have had
a few different systems in my
garage but never found one I
really liked until I saw this sys-
tem; it was unlike anything I
have ever seen before, he
said. The issue I had with
cabinets is that they are very
costly, the storage inside them
is limited (your items need to
be a certain size) and
there is wasted space due
to these constraints.
With the wall-rack sys-
tems that are out there,
you can usually only hang
one level of stuff across
the wall, thus you need
many linear feet of rack-
ing to hold what you need
to store. These systems
generally cannot hold too
much weight. With the
Monkey Bar Storage
System, they separate the
long term storage (on the
shelf), from the short
term storage (items hanging
from the Monkey Bars and
hooks below the shelf. The
hanging items can be hung in
up to three layers away from
the wall and with the solid
power coated components;
every four foot section can
hold up to 1000 lbs. The bars
and hooks are also fully
adjustable. For more informa-
tion about revolutionizing
your garage and gearing up for
spring, contact John Driesse.

Getting ready for spring: An affordable storage solution
S
torage space is often
a coveted commodity.
Apartment dwellers
seek out more closet space,
homeowners may desire more
acreage, and even children
may want more space for their
toys and belongings. The pur-
chase of a storage shed could
alleviate some clutter issues
and move items outdoors --
creating more space.
Household garages are
no longer as popular for stor-
ing vehicles. Instead, garages
are used to store the extra
items that do not fit inside
the home. Many people even
turn to self-storage units for
extra storage space.
According to the Self Storage
Association, the storage
industry earned roughly $20
billion in revenues across
North America in 2010. It
has also been the fastest-
growing segment of the com-
mercial real estate industry for
the last 30 years and is consid-
ered to be recession-proof.
Garden storage sheds
present another place where
individuals can keep items
out of sight but easily accessi-
ble. As garages fill up with
belongings quite quickly,
many homeowners think
about a shed purchase to at
least keep outdoor lawn and
garden essentials in their own
place.
The process of purchasing a
shed is not as simple as find-
ing the least or most expen-
sive type on the market.
There are other factors that
come into play when select-
ing a shed.
Appearance and design:
Although the function of a
shed is to store items out of
sight, the shed itself will be in
full view in a yard. Therefore,
plenty of homeowners prefer
something that has just as
much aesthetic appeal as it
does storage capacity. An
unsightly shed can affect the
overall appearance of a prop-
erty, or even hurt the sale
price for homeowners think-
ing about putting the home
on the market. It's important
to select a shed in a price
range that also complements
the style of he home so it
coordinates with other fea-
tures. Some people choose to
have a custom-built shed that
can replicate the architectural
style of the home and even
features the same siding and
finishing materials.
Size: Sheds come in a vari-
ety of sizes, from compact
locker-sized sheds to large
buildings that may even dou-
ble as a
garden room, pool room or
kids' playhouse. Homeowners
should keep in mind that the
size of the shed may have to
meet local municipality rules
for additions or structural
changes to a property. A larg-
er shed may require a perma-
nent flooring material, such
as concrete, and may be sub-
ject to permit applications
and inspections, whereas a
smaller shed may not have
such stringent requirements.
Further-more, certain towns
actually may restrict the size

and placement of a shed if it
interferes with traffic visibili-
ty or impacts a neighbor in a
negative way.
Siding materials: Sheds are
constructed of various exteri-
or materials. Some of the
more affordable options are
metal or plywood and particle
board. However, these materi-
als can be easily compromised
by rain and snow. The most
maintenance-free materials
are vinyl or molded PVC-type
plastics. However, these may
look like cookie-cutout units
and may not have as much
visual appeal. Cedar and
wood are popular siding
choices but won't be mainte-
nance-free. They need
upkeep and also tend to be
more expensive. But the cost
may pay for itself in durability
as well as an attractive
appearance.
Minor enhancements:
Touches like decorative archi-
tectural features, window
boxes, shutters, or even simply
planting shrubs and annuals
around the shed can make it
an integral part of the land-
scape instead of simply an eye-
sore. Double doors will ensure
large pieces of equipment can
fit inside the shed. The addi-
tion of a pressure-treated ramp
at the entryway provides easy
access to the shed as well.
Storage sheds can pro-
vide much-needed space for
homeowners. Certain features
as well as cost need to be fac-
tored into the decision before
purchase. Homeowners
should compare chain home
improvement stores as well as
private retailers to find a shed
that is the best fit.

ne of the best ways to
improve a home's
resale value is to
address the landscape.
Increasing a property's curb
appeal can be done in many
ways, but a well-pruned lawn
and garden gives buyers the
impression that the sellers
truly took the time to main-
tain the home and the sur-
rounding property.
Unfortunately, many
homeowners choose exotic
plants when addressing their
landscape. Though these
plants can be appealing and
make a property stand out, if
the plants are not native to
the region, they could be
doing more harm than good.
Instead of upgrading your
property with exotic plants
from a far away land, consider
the following benefits of
choosing native plants before
addressing your landscape.
Native plants benefit local
wildlife. The native plants
and the native wildlife spent
years and years evolving
together, with each doing
their part to ensure the
other's survival. But as
development continued,
local wildlife suffered
because of lost food sources.
The local wildlife needs
local, native plants to sur-
vive, so choosing these
plants instead of exotic
plants can help ensure the
survival of wildlife that
helps keep the ecosystem in
check.
Native plants require less
work. Some prospective
home buyers might find a yard
filled with exotic plants to be
visually stunning, but they
might also see a good deal of
work to maintain those plants.
Many exotic plants require
significant work on a home-
owner's part to survive, while
native plants have already
adapted to the local climate
and will require much less
care. This is often attractive
to current and future home-
owners alike.
Native plants might be a bet-
ter investment. A native plant
has evolved over the years to
survive in its given area. Local
insect populations and fun-
gal infections might be able
to destroy an exotic plant,
but a native plant has grown
resistant to such problems
and likely has the ability to
fight such infestations or
infections on its own. An
exotic plant might require
costly pesticides and consid-
erable attention from home-
owners to survive such prob-
lems.
Though homeowners
might find exotic plants help
their home stand out from
their neighbors', it's impor-
tant that homeowners recog-
nize the environmental bene-
fits of choosing local plants
before making any decisions.

Granite, Marble & Quartz
INC.
The Beauty of Natural Stone
Natural Stone offers beauty, easy care and
durability. Granite is often found in upscale
and sophisticated residences, palaces and
hotels throughout the world due to its texture
and luster.
Natural stone provides the look and feel of
elegance through a quality and strength that
will never be reached by other materials.
Next to diamonds, granite is the strongest
stone in the world. So, like diamonds, granite
is forever!
In natural hard surfaces like granite, a certain
amount of movement or grain is usually
expected. Many people find this flow and
blending of colors to be the most compelling
reason for using genuine stone.
Why is Natural Stone the right choice?

he Centers for Disease
Control and
Prevention state that
more than 50 percent of
American adults 18 years of
age and older regularly con-
sume alcohol.
While overindulging is
dangerous, drinking alcohol in
moderation need not be per-
ilous. In fact, moderate alcohol
consumption can be good for
you. Research by the National
Institute on Alcohol Abuse
and Alcoholism reports that
moderate drinkers live longer
than nondrinkers and heavy
consumers of alcohol.
Moderate drinking is benefi-
cial to the heart, resulting in a
40 to 60 percent decrease in
heart disease risk. Moderate
drinking constitutes up to two
drinks each day for men and
one drink per day for women.
As mentioned, overindul-
gence in alcohol can be dan-
gerous and detrimental to indi-
vidual health. But moderate
alcohol consumption can pro-
vide a host of benefits, includ-
ing:
Increasing survivability of
heart attacks;
Reducing risk of stroke;
Lowering risk for Alzheimer's
Disease and senile dementias.
An analysis of 32 studies
comparing nondrinkers and
moderate consumers of alcohol
found that moderate consump-
tion is associated with a 33 to
56 percent lower incidence of
diabetes and a 34 to 55 percent
lower incidence of diabetes-
related coronary heart disease.
Alcohol might also help
individuals avoid painful
arthritis. According to the
European League Against
Rheumatism, alcohol con-
sumption is associated with a
significantly reduced risk of
developing arthritic conditions
including rheumatoid arthritis,
olosteoarthritis, reactive arthri-
tis, psoriatic arthritis, and
spondylarthropathy.
Overindulging in alcohol
is unsafe and potentially very
risky to an individual's long-
term health. However, when
consumed in moderation, alco-
holic beverages can promote
healthy living.
Is moderate alcohol consumption beneficial?

ccording to Nielsen
and comScore Media
Metrix, the two glob-
al leaders in digital measure-
ment, Coldwell Banker brand-
ed websites had the highest
number of unique visitors
among all national real estate
franchise brands for full-year
2011. This includes www.
ColdwellBankerMoves.com,
the website of Coldwell Banker
Residential Brokerage in New
Jersey and Rockland County,
NY. This past year was the sec-
ond consecutive year that the
Coldwell Banker brand ranked
No. 1 in Web traffic among all
real estate franchisors.
Coldwell Banker brand
websites are top-of-mind and at
the fingertips of consumers
when they go online and
search for a home, said
Hal Maxwell, president of
Coldwell Banker Residential
Brokerage in New Jersey and
Rockland County, NY. I
attribute this to the constant
focus we put on providing
potential buyers and sellers
with an invaluable suite of
online tools and information,
with the ability to easily find
and contact the perfect
Coldwell Banker real estate
agent when theyre ready to
take the next step.
According to Nielsen,
Coldwell Banker websites had
17.5 million unique visitors in
2011, which was more than 28
percent higher than the next
nearest franchise brand com-
petitor (13.7 million).
Similarly, Coldwell Banker
branded websites (26.1 million
unique visitors) had the highest
Web traffic ranking among real
estate franchisors in the
comScore Media Metrix full-
year ranking for 2011, easily
outpacing its next nearest com-
petitor by 21 percent (21.6 mil-
lion unique visitors).
Coldwell Banker Resi-
dential Brokerages website, the
2011 recipient of the Real
Estate Standard of Excellence
award by the Web Marketing
Association, provides such fea-
tures as a simplified home
search with interactive map-
ping feature, a mortgage advi-
sor tool and optimization for
mobile devices.
Coldwell Banker Real
Estate LLC accessed the a
forementioned information
through its subscription to both
Nielsen and comScore Media
Metrix. The rankings encom-
pass all consumer Web traffic
(unique visitors) to national
and local websites operated by
the franchise brands as well as
by their franchisees.

diabetes, Crohn's disease,
ulcerative colitis, liver disease,
pancreatitis, allergies, asthma
and immune disorders.
In addition, antibodies
formed against microbial mole-
cules can react with the body's
own cellular structures. This
can cause many autoimmune
diseases such as rheumatoid
arthritis, lupus, scleroderma
and psoriasis, just to name a
few.
Is it necessary to Detox or
Cleanse?
It would be wonderful if
there were a place on our plan-
et free from toxins and pollu-
tants. But the sad fact is there
is not. Our air is polluted, our
water is full of chemicals
(mainly chlorine), our clothes
are made up of artificial fabrics
full of chemicals and our
lotions and shampoos contain
chemicals. We can never fully
eliminate these chemicals
unless we undergo a detoxifi-
cation process. It is one of the
best ways to remain healthy in
a polluted and toxic environ-
ment.
Our bodies are miracles.
They are a natural cleansing
and self-healing machine. But
in today's over-toxic and
nutritionally deficient world,
our bodies need all the help it
can get. Cleansing and flood-
ing the body with nutrients is
the key to maintain our
health.
A good detoxification
program can make all the dif-
ference in keeping the body
functioning. It may even
keep many diseases at bay.
Cleansing along with a
healthy diet are essential to
anti-aging and allowing the
body to be the miracle it was
meant to be.
Symptoms of toxic overload:
Headaches or back pain,
joint pain or arthritis, memory
loss, depression or lack of ener-
gy, brittle nails and hair, coat-
ed tongue or bad breath, unex-
plained weight gain, psoriasis,
allergies crave sweets or alco-
hol and hormone imbalance.
Benefits of Cleansing and
Detoxification
Clean digestive tract,
clear of accumulated waste
and fermenting bacteria, liver,
kidney and blood purification,
mental clarity is enhanced,
reduced dependency on sugar,
caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and
drugs, hormonal system is bal-
anced and immune system is
stimulated.
As you can see most peo-
ple need to detox and cleanse
their bodies, especially those
who have poor eating habits,
excessive stress, and are
exposed to an excess of envi-
ronmental toxins such as flight
crews. There are many cleans-
es and detox programs on the
market. Dont confuse a good
detox with a colon cleanse -
big difference. Also, fasting is
not cleansing - also a big dif-
ference. Please visit my web-
site regularly for updates and
recipes on detox recipes and
juice cleanses!
Help your body be the
miracle it was meant to be.
