ADMISSIONS TO FIRST YEAR OF FULL TIME POST GRADUATE COURSE IN MASTER IN COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (MCA) FOR THE YEAR 2012-2013 Applications are invited for MAH-MCA-CET 2012 for admission to First Year of three-year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Course in MCA in the Government, Govt. Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State. Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-MCA-CET 2012 : The candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria: Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelors degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination. OR Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelors degree to be awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging to Maharashtra State only). Note: The candidates who have passed Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS), Bachelor of Science (Computer/Information Technology) degree courses are not required to fulfill the requirement of having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination. Availability of Information Brochure alongwith Application Kit : The Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai continues the system of online receipt of application form for MCA for the year 2012-13.

Information brochure alongwith the Application Kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the select Axis Bank Branches mentioned below only during working hours of the respective Axis Bank Branches as per schedule (excluding Public Holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees. It is mandatory to procure the information brochure and go through it carefully. The CET that will be conducted in pursuance of this advertisement is subject to the rules and regulations set out in this information brochure. The further admission process, especially in respect of Private Unaided Institutes will be in terms of the clarification read with aforesaid rules and regulations. Submission of the application form in response to this notification will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that 1/5

the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations. The Centralized Admission Process will consist of first 2 rounds of allotment and the third (i.e. last) round of counseling. Candidates are instructed to carefully read the Annexure-I of the Information Brochure to understand the eligibility criteria for participating in each round. Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid at the identified Axis Bank Branches, in cash only, through Pay-in-Slip. The candidate can also do online payment of the fees by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card payment gateway for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), Rs. 750/J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Students/ PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJDT NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), Rs. 550/OBC, SBC] belonging to Maharashtra State only. Maharashtra State and J & K Migrant candidates who wish to apply against OMS based are required to purchase only single Information brochure along with the Application Kit. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the Online Application form through the web site www.dte.org.in/mca through any computer connected to Internet. For the submission and confirmation of the online Application Form the candidates are required to use the Application ID and Password provided in the Application Kit. Candidates are also required to upload his/her photo with signature as per the instructions given in the Application Kit. Candidates are advised to preserve the Application Kit carefully and not to disclose the Application ID & Password to others to avoid impersonation. In order to take the printout of the Online submitted Application form and the printout of the Hall Ticket for the CET, it is mandatory for all the candidates to confirm the Online submitted Application form and such confirmed applications only will be considered valid for further processing. Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be done with the candidates. It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Aspiring candidates are required to get the documents verified & confirm application for CAP at ARC strictly as mentioned in the Information Brochure.
