FILLING PLANT OPERATOR Edmonton Unionized position Full time permanent An overview of the mandate Safety will be paramount in your role as a Filling Plant Operator, which consists in filling and handling highpressure cylinders to meet client expectations, while ensuring that operations are efficient and meet ALCs quality and safety objectives. You will also be considered the Facility Manager in accordance with the Industrial Management System (IMS). Specifically, you will: prepare empty cylinders for filling by checking for defects, sorting and cleaning them, replacing labels and inputting data into the Cylinder Management System (CMS) fill cylinders according to the Product Preparation sheet and Product Filling register for the specific gas, including equipment start-up and shutdown be familiar with, and follow, all ALC safety and quality requirements, policies and procedures, report any safety issues, and ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place to respond to customer complaints implement quality control procedures in line with the Technical Reference Manual (TRM) participate in the daily clean-up of the plant and in keeping tools and equipment in good working condition participate in work planning and administration work with your own team and other cross-functional teams to continuously improve work processes identify any non-compliance activities and propose appropriate solutions

The ideal Filling Plant Operator profile High school diploma 3 to 5 years of experience in the industrial sector Quality System (ISO), safety and forklift truck training Knowledge of compressed gases, and the handling and transportation of dangerous materials Written and oral communication skills Mathematical skills Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
