I grew up in Scotland. I started school over sixty years ago when I was five. We used to wear a school uniform- a white shirt, a cap, a jacket and grey shortseven in winter! We hated the uniform. We were really fit, though, not overweight like some teenagers today. I used to walk about six kilometers to school and back home every day. We ate healthy food. We didnt use to eat frozen food, but now we eat frozen food and food from tins.

My life in the country

I live in a big city now but we used to live in the country when I was a child. We used to grow vegetables but now we buy our vegetables from a greengrocer. My mother used to make bread, yoghurt and cheese. We never used to eat frozen food or food from tins when I was young. Fresh food tasted a lot better then.
