Book a few DJs, sell a few thousand tickets and stock up on lots of beer. e big party? ly running a festival is on Sure Laura Vevers jets to ind out s latest gig to f Croatia
I love festivals. The music, the vibe, the beers. Even wearing wellies. Its basically one big party. How hard could it be to sort out your own? I nd myself heading to Croatias newest beat mecca on the isle of Pag, the Hideout Festival (hideoutfestival.com), to meet Mark Newton, the gigs co-founder, to see exactly what it takes to put on a killer show. Its a gamble when you rst host a festival, he explains. We chose loads of different DJs to appeal to a range of music fans. Securing big-name acts was a breeze for a pro like Mark. As one of the key members of leading Leeds-based club promoters Wax:On, he has spent years schmoozing dance music industry heavyweights, and has exactly the right people on speed dial. I also took advice from mates who organise similar festivals in

Croatia, like Outlook and Soundwave. I basically spotted a gap in the market for something a bit more mainstream. And Marks managed to ll that gap perfectly: Jamie xx, Annie Mac, Marco Carola, Eric Prydz, Erol Alkan and Fake Blood are just some of the acts that he booked over the three-day gig. Impressive. I arrive at the gorgeous Zrce Beach, where the festival is set, and I can see its all about location, location, location. There isnt a muddy eld in sight, just the beach, sea and some seriously massive stages. You can also have all-night beach parties in Croatia, Mark adds. Plus its hot, beautiful and the people are so friendly. It all sounds easy enough, but Mark points out that it was difcult co-ordinating things in Croatia with his team based in Leeds, so months of international phone calls were inevitable. Good thing I have a Skype account, then.

With the schedule of acts for the night downloaded onto my iPhone (who needs a clipboard?), I soon learn that it is totally indispensable to any festival organiser to make sure things run smoothly. Mark explains that most DJs only just y in on the night of their set, so everything has to be rigidly timetabled down to the minute to make sure that they get on stage at the right time. Phew. I also learn that the biggest plus point of hosting a gig by the sea is that you can put on fun extras, like boat parties. While revellers throw their hands in the air on the sunset cruise, Mark looks on in satisfaction: Organising an event like this is tough, but when you see everyone having such an epic time, it makes it all worthwhile. I agree, but secretly think to myself that since Mark and the team have done such a brilliant job here, Id rather be a mere punter next year and leave the hard work to the real party pros.

2.
Be prepared to work your way up. Its good to start small. Try organising your own club nights rst, and then move onto bigger events once youve achieved a solid reputation for your gigs.
3.
Dont overdo the booze. You need to stay in control just in case anything goes wrong. Youre responsible for the festival running smoothly, after all!

Office versus repping? I love working with guests, but admin suits me better. I start at 10am and can still join everyone on a night out after I nish work. You get the best of both worlds. There isnt really a divide between us, though youre still part of the same team.
Season highlight? The sunset cruise in Ibiza. We take the boat out at 6pm with cocktails owing and a DJ playing Caf del Mar-style music. You dont get more of an Ibiza experience than that. Biggest lesson youve learnt as a club rep? The whole experience changes you as a person. You become more condent and you learn more about yourself. You work with different people all the time, so it makes you a more open and friendly person you should be able to walk into a room and talk to anybody. You always have to be prepared for dealing with situations as they arise. Te ll us a secret I was in the nal of Miss Northern Ireland in 2008.

Whats a club coordinator, then? Youre in charge of the resort and have more responsibility. Youre always on call, no matter what time of day (or night) it is. You also have to organise the reps and make sure theyve got everything that they need to do the job. If anything happens in resort, it comes down to us. Its hard work, but youre never bored because every day is different. Bit of a pro, e h? I wouldnt say Im a pro, but I have been doing it for seven years now. Initially, I just wanted to go travelling for a year, but I found that there were opportunities for promotion. I never expected to be able to make a career out of it. Im not ready to call it a day yet, there are loads of resorts Id still like to work in. Whats the best perk? You see some of the best acts in the world for free, get treated like VIPs and get to go backstage. Its brilliant. Most embarrassing moment ever? At The Big Reunion last year, I fell down some stairs and landed at Professor Greens feet. He had to help me get up. I told you I was clumsy

Just a short drive from Marbella, this celeb-studded resort is home to chic beach clubs, glittering nightlife and Champagne-spray parties
We Love Puerto Banus because Last summer, this was the holiday hotspot to be snapped at in the reality celeb world. Even the TOWIE cast ditched the Sugar Hut for the luxury rooftop terrace of Pangea (Edicio Club Del Mar, pangea-club.com), with the likes of Katie Price, Jack Tweed and Kerry Katona following in their party footsteps.
PUE RTO BA US N
And its easy to see why. This posers paradise attracts everyone from Premiership footballers to oil tycoons, whose sports cars and superyachts line the plush marina. Just a 15-minute drive down the Costa del Sol from Marbella (where Simon Cowell has a mansion), Puerto Banus is a younger and blinger resort. It has all the cool beach clubs, designer boutiques (theres nothing wrong with window shopping, right?) and glitzy clubs and bars you need for an A-list holiday. Throw in some blow-out parties courtesy of the top DJs and acts that jet over every summer Pharrell Williams and 50 Cent are just a couple of the huge hip hop stars that have played at Funky Buddha (Camino de la Cruz, funkybuddhamarbella.com) and you have yourself a truly braggable break.
But you dont have to own a yacht or Ferrari to enjoy this Med port in style: From summer 2012, Club 18-30 will join the party. Heres the lowdown on what to check out

XPOSURE, GETTY
C hill out in style Buddha Beach (Urb. Villa Marina, buddhabeachbanus.com) is the place to see and be seen the TOWIE crew made it their base camp last summer, and Calum Best and Spurs footballer David Bentley are also regulars. Whether you grab a bed on the golden sands of Puerto Banus beach or prefer to bronze yourself around the gorgeous pool area (beds start at 13), make sure you and your crew take time to chill out in the 12-seater rock pool Jacuzzi with a delicious, frozen daiquiri.
Lunch on the run A stylish lunch doesnt have to cost the earth. Pull up a seat on the sunny terrace of the gorgeous La Sala (Calle Belmonte, +34 952 814 145, lasalabanus.com), where you can order two fancy courses Waldorf salad followed by beef medallions with pepper butter, anyone? for a reasonable 13.
Buy, buy, buy If the D&G and Louis Vuitton boutiques are a little out of your price range, you can pick up your party-wear at a snip at the Puerto Banus street market (held every Saturday from 9am to 2pm), which is located next to the bullring in the trendy Nueva Andalucia quarter. Youll nd chic swimwear, dresses, bags and accessories from just 10. Get your bartering skills ready!
Get active The coolest way to see the rest of the Costa del Sol is by horseback, and you can trek among the orange groves and cattle hills of the surrounding countryside with Hacienda Horses (30 for one hour, +34 956 618 229, haciendahorses.com). If youre after more of a thrill, test your skills as the next Lewis Hamilton on the go-karting track at Funny Beach (Cn-340, Km 184 Marbella, funnybeach.com).
Up the glam stake s Check out Ocean Clubs monthly Champagne-spray party, which is a favourite hang-out of Katie Price and England football star Aaron Lennon. It doesnt come cheap (110 entry per person for the day) but you do get a whole bottle of Veuve Clicquot to yourself. And the crowds get sprayed with 5,000 bottles of the posh zz from 11am till 8pm (Avenida de Lola Flores, oceanclub.es). Surely that has to be the ultimate indulgence?
Big night out Warm up at Sinatra Bar (Front Line Port), which has been welcoming its share of famous faces for the last 30 years. Or if youre into sports, look no further than Linekers (Second Line Puerto Banus, linekersgroup.com), where you can catch live footie action on one of 25 plasma screens. But for a mind-blowing night of music and dancing till dawn, check out The Club by Dreamers (C.C. La Alzambra). Every summer, top DJs such as Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez and Bob Sinclar take charge of the decks. Dont rock up too early, though the party doesnt get started till at least 2am.

Lifes a beach (party) You just havent experienced the true Marbs way of life until youve been to the legendary Nikki Beach club (Playa Hotel Don Carlos, nikkibeach.com). Its famous White Party draws cool, beautiful crowds Sarah Harding and her DJ boyfriend Tom Crane were special guests last summer. Dont leave without sampling their delicious, albeit slightly lethal, mojitos Go local Partially surrounded by the ruins of an old Arab wall with narrow whitewashed streets, old churches and squares, a visit to Marbella Old Town is a great way to experience the more traditional side of Spain. Dont miss out on tucking into some tapas. In fact, there are so many restaurants dotted around that you could even create your own DIY tapas bar crawl.

Why I
ife veryones up for a good time in Ayia Napa because the pumping nightl taste in music is. And all the best caters to everyone, no matter what your centre. restaurants, bars and clubs are conveniently smack-bang in the Castle Club (G Afxentiou, the castleclub.com) is one of the best clubs. It has loads of different rooms and bars playing RnB and dance music, so if you get bored of one, you can switch to another. Live Lounge (Katalymata Street, liveloungevenue.com), an indie bar that usually has a live band playing every night, is also cool.
After a massive night ou t, we recover by the pool playing games or head to Nissi Beach to chill. If Im feeling active, I might rent a jetski and have a whizz around in the sea or ro und up some mates for the banana boat. We us ually grab a bite to eat at Los Bandidos (2 Ari Velouchioti, +357 2372 3258, losbandidosmexica n.com), which does really good Mexican foo d, or Sapporo (15 Ippok ratuous Street, +357 2372 1505) for Japanese . Then its time to rock out and do it all again

INTERVIE W CHRIS TOFER LLOYD
you know, see whos got he rst duty of the day is to catch up on the gossip from the night before to sunbathe in the morning with who. We chat around the pool so we can work on our tans. You have to the Turkish baths next to the Aussie because the sun is too strong in the afternoon. Then I head one that makes your tan last longer. Outback Bar (6/a Adnan Menderes) for a relaxing massage. They have Lunch is usually a kebab at Gumbet Doner (22 Erguvan Sokak) it has to be done here, it only costs 80p! After some food, I cool off in the afternoon with a refreshing swim in the sea, before kicking back on the massive pink pillows at Alora Beach Club (Gumbet Beach).
After getting glammed up for the night ahead, I head to Outback Bar for a few pre-club drin ks. Then its on to Shak ers (Bar Street) roof ba for some fruity cockta r ils. To nish the night, it has to be Posh Club (25 Erguvan Sokak), the biggest club in the res ort. Its got an open-ai danceoor and has the r biggest disco ball I ha ve ever seen. Good times!

W
INTERVIE W CHRIS TOFER LLOYD
Lucy Ste wart, Club 1830 Rep (Kardamena Seafront, +30 2242 091393), which does the e start the day at Scala
the terrace, best fry-up on the island. We arrange for a table to be brought out on some sun. which has stunning views of the sea, and soak up Spending a day on Kardamena beach is denitely on the cards. You can do loads of water sports there, but my favourite is the crazy sofa. Its literally an inatable sofa thats attached to a speedboat, and they pull you around the sea. Its so much fun. We might grab a quick bite to eat and chill out at Starlight Beach Club (Kardamena Beach) afterwards.
Theres a little place ca lled Pepperonis (Kard amena Seafront, +30 22420 92444) that do es tasty pizzas for abou t 5 a great place for dinner befor e heading to Vibe (Bar Street) or Crackers (Kardamena Seafront) for a few drinks. Crack ers does a great cocktail called the Re fresher, which tastes jus t like the sweets! After that, its time for dancing, either at Stat us (Bar Street), which plays house music , or Starlight (Central Square), which plays hip hop, RnB an d garage, and hosts sup erstar DJs like Crazy Cousinz. They also have the most random popcorn -spraying parties. Whats not to love abou t that?

When we need fuelling, it has to be The Barn (Bar Street, +30 69480 01912), which is literally a onestop shop for food and drink they do breakfast, homemade pizzas, decent pasta dishes and delicious cocktails. And its just off the beach. Luckily, Kavos main nightlife is conveniently all on one street (Main Street, aka Lefkimmis Kavou), where youll nd Future s, Buzz Bar and 42nd Street theyre all great places to start out the night.
My highlights of Kavos are the Full Moon part ies, which are based on the ones in Thailand. You get thou sands of people down on Kavos be ach dancing and drinki ng, and there are bonres, barb ecues, re dancers and reworks. Anne Savage and Stereo type played there last summer it was mental. Theres us ually an after beach party at Atlantis (Main Street), where people just chill out till the sun comes up. What more could you ask for ?

irst task of the day: round up the troops and pick up some drinks for the day. Then its down to Laganas beach to hire speedboats (around 9 a person for three hours). We zip around the bay to Banana Beach, Then where there are inatable bouncy castles and trampolines in the sea. Island and chill in the sun. we crack open a few beers on Turtle to recharge my batteries. Once were back in Laganas, a nap is in order just a couple of hours 26950 43169, coolpeppers. I meet the guys down at Cool Peppers for dinner (Laganas Beach, +30 with chips and coleslaw. gr) for a round of mojitos by sunset. They serve the best stack of ribs By the time we nish, its only 10pm, which is too early to head to the clubs, so we have a few cheeky drinks at Zeros front bar (Main Road, zerosclubzante.com). The bartenders put on a bit of a performance with cocktail airing and a re show. Then its onto Rescue (1015 Laganas Main Road), where Dave Pearce has a regular set, for proper dancing. The big after-party happens down at

Cherry Bay Beach Club (Laganas Beach, cherrybay.com). Its right on the beach and is open till 7am, so you can dance till the sun comes up. Sometimes I fall asleep on the beach. Its not a bad place to wake up.

Why I
Magaluf,
INTERVIE W CHRIS TOFER LLOYD
orca a M ll
A
walls y fter chatting to guests about the antics of the night before, we usuall Bar (Calle Pineda) - yes, that grab some brekkie at the Eastenders the Eastenders! It has loads of pictures of all the cast of the TV show on and they serve fantastic full English breakfasts for around 3.50.
I like to grab a seat on the terrace of Daiquiri Palace (Calle Contra almirante Ferragut, +34 971 130 855, daiquiripalace.com), which faces Magalu f Beach, and enjoy a frozen cocktail in the sun - they have 24 avours! We might head to the upside-down House of Katmandu (9 Avda Pedro Vaquer Ramis, katman dupark.com), which has crazy golf and a 4D cinema experience. Its a bit quirky and different.
Chilis (8 Calle Pinada , +34 971 681 963, chili mallorca. com) is a stylish place to dine. Its chicken ske wers and yummy salads are perfec t for lining your stoma ch before bar-hopping from Alex s Place to Lennons to Club 21, all on the main strip. We en d up at Boomerangs (Ca rrer Miguel Altoaguirre) for dancin g, but I also love Pachas Pub (12 Martin Ros Garcia), wh ich plays garage and Rn B. Its a place that the locals go to, so its a bit of a secret .

Why I
Malia, r ete C
Y
Grab some sun beds and set up camp at Pleasure Beach Club
86
mates reminiscing oull nd me sat in The Loft Bar (Beach Road, loftmalia.eu) with my I deliberate whether over the antics from the night before. I order a full English while jump at Star today will be the day that I nally pluck up the courage to do the bungee Beach yep, probably not. Id much rather chill. I grab my gear and head straight for Pleasure Beach Club (pleasurebeach .eu). The atmosphere there is second to none. The lads and I grab a few sun beds, set up camp and check out some of the action, from water sports to volleyb all. You can even relax in a Jacuzzi on the beach.
Feeling a bit exhausted from all that hard work , its time for some grub. Despite its qu estionable name, Stick y Fingers (Beach Road, stickyngers.gr ) is the best place in tow n for delicious, affordable ribs, burge rs and steaks. With foo d sorted, its time for a bit of singing in Malia s top karaoke bar, Prem ier (Beach Road, premierbar.eu) I usua lly belt out a tune from Grease. Then its time to dance at Banana Club (Beach Road), where they put on re airing shows and have awesome DJs playing a mi x of RnB and chart music. Its one of Malias best clubs and always does the job!

Why I
d of Pag, s I lan
INTERVIE W CHRIS TOFER LLOYD
Ibiza, ag is literally a day-to-night beach party. The vibe is similar to start but it still feels a bit undiscovered. Plus, its not as expensive! We of the day sunbathing on Zrce Beach, recovering from the night before. . I usually You can get involved in water sports, like jetskiing and wakeboarding or meat, as a bite to grab a burek, which is a local pasty lled with feta cheese eat before heading back to my sun lounger.
oatia Cr
At about 4pm, people start trickling back to their hotel or apartment to rest up for the big night ahead its 24-hour partying, after all! We head to some bars in Novalja to warm up, like Cocomo Club (9 Obala Petra Kreimira IV, cocomoclub.co m). You have to try travarica its a local herb-infused grape brandy and goes down well!
Back on Zrce Beach, there are three main clubs th at everyone heads to Kaly pso (kalypso.com.hr), Aq uarius (aquariuszrce.hr) and Papaya (papaya.com.hr). Papaya is brilliant. We end up da ncing on the beach, and you can watch the sunrise behind the DJ. Its incredible. Last season, they hosted awesome live ac ts like Armin van Buur en, Fatboy Slim and Laidback Luke. Load s of massive DJs and acts come to Pag over summer. Its the pla ce to be!

ALAMY
sleep! The an Antonio has a really good vibe, but its hardcore. My guests hardly I nish work clubs usually stay open till 6am, so youre up all night long. When . My favourite nights are Cream at 1am, the big clubs are just getting started Tuesday at Eden at Amnesia (4 Carre Enmig, amnesia.es) or Clubland, which is every : Mark and Arg (Calle Salvador Espriu, edenibiza.com). There are always celebs around from TOWIE and Tinie Tempah were there last summer. We roll into Fishermans Kitchen (10 Calle Madrid, +34 971 345 772) the next day for a breakfast-slash-lunch. The do great hangover-busting fry-ups. Its usually the late afternoon by the time were done, so we chill by the pool for a bit, then head out again for more drinks in the West End at Funky Flares and Koppas (both on Calle Santa Ins). Dinner has to be at Ibiza Rocks Diner (13 Carre Estrella, ibizarocks.com). Its just on the seafront and they play really good music. I love the burgers! The Judgement Sunday cruise is the best way to end the weekend. We sail out of San Anton io marina and watch th e sunset, then after dark the DJs start spinning tunes and it tu rns into a proper party. Theres no such thing as rest in Ibi za!
After midnight, clubs like Amnesia and Eden are just getting started

N
Alex Wri ght-Will iams, Club 18othing sets you up better for the day than a full English at British 30 Rep e bar Jacks (near Hotel Kuban, +359 889 344 805). It also has a karaok
machine and a live hypnotist, if youre feeling up for that sort of thing in the morning! Theres plenty to keep you occupied on the beach during the day. Youve got fairground rides, a reverse bungee ball (which is like a slingshot) and a 5D cinema. If you want to see some more traditional Bulgarian towns, Nessebar is just a 10-minute bus ride away - and the ticket costs less than 50p. Traditional Bulgarian food is great. The hog roast special ity at Steakhouse Pamporovo (opposite Iceberg, 50m from Juli Hotel) is the most tender meat I have ever eaten. You can also get everything from steak to Mexican food if youre a bit of a fussy eater.
There are three main clu bs for partying: Disco Orange (near Hotel Stranja, or angedisco.net), Revolu tion (revolutiondisco.net) and Ice berg (next to Ho tel Kuban, icebergclub.net) - which is my favourite, becaus e theyve got a different DJ every ni ght of the week playing funky house music. Theyve also got a built-in oxygen bar where you can inhale different avou rs of oxygen. It gives yo u an instant hit of energy to help yo u party as hard as you ca n!

Information systems. You may not be able to travel and your insurance may be invalid if the name on your passport and travel documents dont match. If after booking a holiday but before travelling, any member of your party changes their name, e.g. as a result of getting married, we must be notied immediately so that we can make the necessary changes to your holiday documentation. Tickets: Tickets will be issued electronically, in person or via post when you book a holiday, or at least 14 days prior to travel. If you book within 14 days it may be necessary to make arrangements for you to collect your tickets from our airport representative on arrival, or in some cases we may be able to post or email your documentation to you, at your request. If Special Delivery is required, a charge may be applied. Advanced Passenger Information: Under the UK Governments e-Borders scheme, Tour Operators and Airlines are required to collect biographical information contained in the section of your passport that can be read by machine (such as name, passport number). We refer to this as your Advance Passenger Information and we will pass this onto the e-Borders programme both prior to your departure from a UK airport to an overseas destination, and on any journey to the UK. We are legally required to collect your Advance Passenger Information. For more information, visit the UK Border Agency website: ukba.homeofce.gov.uk. For some destinations, this will be obtained at the airport but for others we will ask you to provide the information at least seven days before you travel. Please visit our website thomascookapi.com for more information on the latest countries where this applies. Please also carefully note any instructions about Advanced Passenger Information on your booking conrmation, invoice or tickets. The UK Border Agencys e-Borders programme is a legal direction to which all transport carriers must comply. Failure to provide the required data may result in carriage being denied. Currency and Money: We recommend the purchase of travellers cheques or the Cash Passport for the bulk of your holiday money, with a small amount of local currency for initial sundry items. Major credit cards are also widely accepted in all the destinations in this guide. In some cases, local currencies may have to be purchased after arrival or there may be restrictions on the amount you are permitted to buy in advance. We suggest you contact your travel agent for details. In Bulgaria, travellers cheques can only be cashed at banks, therefore it is advisable to take a small amount of Sterling or Euros to cash at hotels. Travellers With Reduced Mobility or Disability Overseas Accommodation and Overseas Transport Arrangements: The majority of overseas accommodation, overseas transport (including transfers) and other holiday services provided are not equipped to cater for the needs of many disabled holidaymakers. Furthermore the natural terrain and the layout of some resorts can sometimes make life difcult for wheelchair users. It is therefore important, if you have any disability, that the appropriate enquiries are made about the suitability of particular accommodation, resorts, transport and services, and that you are fully satised you have made the correct choice before you book and conrm your holiday. Please note that if special arrangements need to be made for you, an extra charge may have to be levied. This may be the case either before you go or when you arrive in resort. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to tell us about special needs/requirements that will affect your holiday experience, and this means that we will not compensate you. For customers who require support or advice prior to booking, please contact our Special Assistance Team on 0800 107 3409, who will contact our suppliers for further information. Please note that this is a dedicated number for special assistance enquiries and we are unable to transfer calls to our other departments. At the Airport and Onboard Your Flight: If you have a disability, reduced mobility or special need that you require assistance with, either at the airport or onboard the aircraft, please let us know as soon as possible. We would like to know if you have a pre-existing medical condition or recent injury, so that we can answer any questions and ensure that there are no concerns about your tness to y. Please speak to your travel agent or speak to our Special Assistance Team on 0800 107 3409 and we will pass your details onto the relevant airline and airport. If you do not request this in advance, the airlines and airports cannot guarantee that this service will be available, as there is a limit on the number of passengers with reduced mobility and the number of wheelchairs the airline is able to assist on the day without pre-notication. We recommend you contact us at the earliest opportunity: We need information regarding your need for assistance no later than 48 hours before departure, so we can inform the responsible managing body at the airport(s) and your airline. If your booking is made later, the airport/ airline will make all reasonable efforts to provide the service required, but cannot guarantee that this can be done successfully. Please let us know if you need any assistance at the airport or onboard the ight, for example if you use a wheelchair, if you are visually impaired or require the use of oxygen. Please also note that if you are not self-reliant (capable of taking care of all your physical needs independently in ight), a carer must travel with any passenger who does not meet the Department for Transport (DFT) code of practices denition of self-reliance. The carer must purchase a ticket at the same time. You can nd more information about travelling with a disability or
reduced mobility on our website: thomascook.com. If you are ying with Thomas Cook Airlines you can also refer to thomascookairlines.co.uk. Alternatively please discuss your requirements with your travel agent or contact our Special Assistance Team direct on 0800 107 3409 and we will be pleased to help you. YOUR FLIGHT Pre-Bookable Flight Services: All pre-bookable ight services should be booked no later than seven days prior to departure when travelling with Thomas Cook Airlines, otherwise please contact your airline direct. Seat selection and Internet Check-in: Thomas Cook Airlines only: Customers on selected routes who pre-book Choose Your Seat (see below) can enjoy the benets of internet check-in*, including seat selection, from seven days prior to the scheduled ight departure date. Full details will be included with your invoice or ight tickets. For more information, visit thomascookairlines.co.uk. Please note that internet check-in may close up to three days before departure for some destinations. Choose Your Seat: When you book your holiday, ask your travel agent (or select online) to add the Choose Your Seat pre-bookable service. Prices start from just 10 return per person. This service enables you to select your seat number and to check-in online at thomascookairlines.co.uk from two months prior to the scheduled ight departure date. Please have your booking reference to hand. See your invoice or tickets for more details. Online Check-in: Customers on selected routes who pre-book Choose Your Seat can enjoy the benets of internet check-in from seven days prior to the scheduled ight departure date. Full details will be included with your invoice or ight tickets. For more information, visit thomascookairlines.co.uk. We know our customers will love this new service and we expect it to be very popular, so dont leave it until the last minute, as internet check-in will close up to three days before departure for all destinations. Internet check-in is only available from the UK when you pre-book Choose Your Seat service as stated above, and is subject to availability. Please note: For both the above services, seat numbers are subject to availability at the time of selection. Restrictions apply depending on aircraft type, route and CAA restrictions. Not all seats are available to reserve. Seat numbers you choose are not guaranteed. Occasionally we may have to re-allocate seats (due to operational, safety or security reasons) and will aim to seat you as close as possible to your selection. Services are bookable on line at thomascookairlines.co.uk, alternatively you can email TCHDPreTravelAdmin@thomascook.com or call 0844 855 0515. A fee will apply to a seat selection booking made through our call centre. Seats together excluding Thomas Cook Airlines: You may be able to reserve seats together on selected other charter airline ights at the time of booking for charges of up to 20 per person. They aim to sit parties together, side by side. However in some circumstances, depending on the size of the group and/or conguration of the aircraft, sitting together could be either side of the aisle or directly behind one another. Extra leg Room: There are a limited number of seats available on most ights offering additional leg room. Prices for these seats start from only 17.50 per person, per ight. Contact one of our reservations staff on 0844 855 0515 for further information. Inight Meals: If you are entitled to a meal or have paid for a meal, Thomas Cook Airlines can only offer a range of meal options including childrens, vegetarian, vegan, diabetic and gluten-free. Please reserve at the time of booking or ask your travel agent to book via Finishing Touches on Viewdata up to 10 days before departure. AT THE AIRPORT Check-in: The following information is designed to help you complete the airport check-in process as quickly as possible. As a result of security measures at UK airports, you must check in at least two hours before your ight is scheduled to take off. If you fail to check in on time, the airline is entitled to refuse you to board the ight. We cannot accept responsibility if such a situation arises and, whilst we will endeavour to assist making alternative travel arrangements to your resort, any cost or loss incurred as a result will be your responsibility. When you arrive at the check-in desk for your ight, you will be asked for your ticket, passport and baggage. If travelling in a group, please make sure all members of your party are at the desk. Once you have checked in, you can move through to the departure lounge where you will nd further information, including your departure gate number. If you require assistance on a Thomas Cook ight, please make your request at the time of booking. Important Notice: Remember no calls will be made for your ight, so please make sure that you are at the departure gate no later than 45 minutes before your departure time. Most airlines regulations only permit the inight consumption of alcohol purchased from the onboard bar service. Passengers that are refused travel will be responsible for arranging alternative transportation at their own expenses. Luggage Tags: Club 18-30 no longer provides luggage labels with your tickets as the baggage tags provided by the airline staff contain all the required information for tracking your luggage should it go astray.
Security: Please keep your luggage with you at all times. Never carry packages or presents for anyone else. Unattended luggage will be removed and may be destroyed. Emergency Exit Seats: Please note that for safety reasons we are unable to allocate seats on the emergency exit rows to disabled passengers. Pregnancy: Regulations vary from airline to airline, but some will refuse to carry women who will be 28 or more weeks pregnant on the date of return travel. If you are in doubt, please check with the airline concerned. We recommend that you also consult your own doctor before travel. Fitness To Fly: You may need permission to y from your doctor if you suffer from some medical conditions, which may mean you also require assistance from the airline. Should you have any concerns regarding your tness to y and you are ying with Thomas Cook Airlines please contact 0844 855 0515. Baggage Delays: Although handling arrangements at UK departure points are excellent, there are occasions when your baggage may be delayed. However, if the recommended insurance is taken, you are covered for emergency purchases. Carriage of Sports Equipment: Thomas Cook Airlines charge for the carriage of sports equipment (this includes and is not limited to golf clubs, scuba diving, surfboards, windsurfs and bikes). This equipment is not included as part of your baggage allowance. Charges by other airlines may also apply for the carriage of sporting equipment. This may be payable either at the time of booking or at the airport prior to departure. If you are planning to take sports equipment, please ask your travel agent to contact the relevant airline at the time of booking, and they will be able to provide you details of prices. Your Travel Agent must also give details of your request to take the sporting equipment on the Special Request page of our reservation system. If sports equipment is not pre-booked, excess baggage charges will apply. Sports equipment must usually be packed separately from other baggage, as these may need to be screened at check-in. We recommend that all your sporting equipment be insured separately, since more valuable or fragile items may not be covered by your insurance. In-resort Transfers/Car Hire: If you are taking sports equipment, we recommend you pre-book car hire as carriage of sports equipment on transfer coaches are subject to space and extra charges may apply. Although public transport/taxis will probably be available from all of our recommended accommodation, arrangement may be costly and/or time consuming. Hand Baggage: The check-in agent at the airport will ask you to show your hand luggage. Only one item of hand baggage is permitted. This should not be over 5kg in weight or bigger than 43.18cm x 27.94cm x 22.86cm. The low dose X-ray machines used at UK airports to examine hand luggage will not affect photographic lm. Hold baggage is subject to a higher dose X-ray inspection and we therefore suggest that you pack your lm in your hand luggage. Items such as knives, scissors, tweezers and laser pointers may not be carried as hand luggage. These items should be carried as hold baggage only and will be conscated if packed in your hand luggage. Hold Baggage: Your hold baggage must not exceed the stated allowance on your ticket. A charge will be made if the stated allowance is exceeded. Baggage allowances range from 15kg up to 30kg. Individual items of luggage must not exceed 30kg for lifting purposes. Valuables: Please remember to pack any valuables including money, credit cards, jewellery, keys and camera equipment in your hand luggage and not in your suitcase. Airline (Operating Carrier) Information: In accordance with EU Regulations, we are required to advise you of the operating carrier(s) (or if the operating carrier(s) is not known, the likely carrier(s)) that will operate your ight(s) at the time of booking. Where we are only able to inform you of the likely carrier(s) at the time of booking, we will inform you of the identity of the operating carrier(s) as soon as we become aware of this. Any change to the operating carrier(s) after your booking has been conrmed will be notied to you as soon as possible. Any change in the identity of the airline, ight timings and/or aircraft type will not entitle you to cancel or change to other ight arrangements without paying our normal charges, except where specied in our conditions. Please note that no-frills airlines are scheduled carriers. Flight Timings: Flight timings shown in this guide are based on the 24-hour clock system. These timings are provisional only and will be submitted for approval by the UK and overseas scheduling committees, and are therefore given for guidance only and are subject to alteration and conrmation. Our reservation system will show the latest timings for your ight. The right is reserved to substitute alternative airlines and/or aircraft at any time. All bookings are subject to the grant of licenses by the Civil Aviation Authority. Flight Routing: A direct ight may touch down en route for refuelling, or to pick up and/or drop off passengers. In these instances you are not normally required to disembark and the ight is still considered to be a direct ight. A non-direct ight may require a change of aircraft en route, while a non-stop ight
may take you directly from your nal destination airport without stopping. Safety: The safety and welfare of passengers is of paramount importance. While we wish to create a genuine holiday mood, we or our suppliers may deny boarding or impose additional conditions of carriage to any passenger who: Is intoxicated and/or disruptive Is found to be smoking on board the aircraft Makes an inappropriate remark. Inappropriate remarks are considered as any comment or statement made by a person that indicates that they may be carrying a bomb (or other such explosive device), a rearm or weapon, regardless of that persons intent or reason for making the comment or statement. Although we want you to start and end your holiday on a high note, please make sure that you keep any drinking to a minimum before the departure of your ight. We will deny boarding to any passenger who appears to be intoxicated or whose behaviour we consider disruptive. We realise that some larger passengers, due to their size, often nd that the aircraft seat width is insufcient for their needs. For your own safety and comfort, and that of other passengers, you must advise us or your travel agent at the time of booking if you know or are unsure as to whether the seat size on the aircraft will be sufcient for your needs. If you do require additional space you can purchase more than one seat located side by side (subject to availability) or if you prefer, a wider seat in an upgraded class (where applicable). We regret however that due to additional costs incurred by us, you will have to pay the full cost of all seats required by you, plus any upgrade supplement per seat. If you are purchasing extra seats due to your size, you must contact us or your travel agent. Smoking: Please note that whatever airline you y with, all UK charter airlines have a strict no-smoking policy throughout the aircraft. Peanuts: Peanuts can be purchased on board Thomas Cook Airlines ights. If you suffer from a peanut allergy, call Thomas Cook Airlines Customer Service and Sales Team services on 0844 855 0515 for a peanut-free meal to be requested up to 10 days before departure (provided you are entitled to a meal or have paid for a meal). Thomas Cook Airlines UK Ltd cannot guarantee to have a peanut-free environment on board an aircraft and is not able to change the cabin environment by individual passenger request. Deep Vein Thrombosis: Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a serious condition where blood clots develop in the deep veins of the legs. Prolonged immobility is generally thought to be the common underlying risk factor, and thus any travel involving prolonged immobility can result in developing DVT. A wide range of advice is available on DVT. You are strongly recommended to obtain advice, which will include information on those people most at risk of DVT, and how to reduce risks when ying. Most passengers can reduce risks through keeping circulation active by practicing in-seat exercises, especially leg exercises, and walking around the aircraft whenever possible. Most airlines provide details of suitable exercises within their inight magazines or during inight videos. If you are ying with Thomas Cook Airlines, please also visit thomascookairlines.co.uk for further information. More comprehensive advice can be found on the UK Department of Healths website (dh.gov.uk) but if you believe you are at a higher risk or have any concerns about the risks or doubts about ying, you must consult your GP before you travel. Seat Pitch: For all Thomas Cook Airlines ights, we advise that the distance between the back support cushion of your ight seat and the back of the seat or other xed structure in front of your seat will not be less than 66.04cm, which is the minimum stated in the UK Civil Aviation Authority Airworthiness Notice No. 64, issue 2 of 29/10/01. YOUR ACCOMMODATION General: Accommodation can have a lively atmosphere, and facilities and entertainment may vary according to the mix and ages of guests in residence. Ofcial Ratings: Ratings systems are an attempt to give you a guide to the overall quality of properties. The ofcial ratings are given by the authorities in the country and do tend to give a fair impression of relative standards within that country. However, different countries have different standards, so dont assume that a three-star hotel in one country is equivalent to a three-star hotel in another. Ofcial classications are: Greece hotels and apartments are graded A to E class; Spain hotels are graded one- to ve-star, hostels graded one- to three-star, and apartments are graded one- to ve Key; Croatia, Cyprus and Bulgaria hotels are graded one- to vestar, and apartments are tourist class graded from A to D. All ratings that appear in this guide are the ofcial ratings at the time of going to print. Club Ratings: The Club ratings system used in this guide ranges from one to four C. The ratings have been set by our resort staff based on their opinion as to the propertys suitability for Club 18-30 guests. A number of factors have been included in the rating of properties including: Room standard and facilities; property standard and facilities; swimming pool/hotel bar; food (if served at the property); entertainment (at the property); and location to the nightlife and the beach. These ratings are subjective and not based on any ofcial ratings or guidelines. Accommodation and Room Types: When we mention room types in our guide, in most cases you can
117
//free_travel
expect to receive a room similar to that described below. Please note however that whilst room categories in different hotels may have the same or similar names, the criteria for their classication is likely to differ, as these are the names the hotels use and they do not have standard denitions. Please note that we do not always sell all room types at all hotels. Room or apartment descriptions indicate the number of adults who can occupy the described accommodation (e.g. two to four people). This will not always mean that at the time of your stay the room or apartment will contain the maximum number of beds if there is less than the maximum number of people in your own party. The following sections provide some additional information on accommodation and room types. Hotels and Hotel Rooms: The term hotel is used to describe various types of accommodation and does not necessarily distinguish between local the classications such as aparthotel, holiday village and holiday complex. Room Information: Double rooms A double is a room with a double bed. A double bed may be two single beds with double bedding. Twin rooms A twin is a room with two single beds. Single rooms A single or twin for sole use is a room with one or two single beds. Rooms sleeping up to four people Some hotels have rooms that sleep up to four people. Room layouts may consist of up to four separate beds or a combination of double, twin, camp beds, sofa beds or rollaway beds. Rooms for up to four persons may not be any larger than standard twin or double rooms, so space is likely to be limited and the room may be cramped. Where rooms do accept extra beds, some hotels may require an additional local charge to be paid which can vary by destination. Please ask for details when you book. Though we will do our best to help, please note that we cannot guarantee the room conguration or type of beds that you will be provided. Studios and Apartments: It is not unusual in some countries (particularly those in the Mediterranean) to have beds with concrete bases. Please also be aware that although initially supplied, it is usual in some Greek studios and apartments for toilet rolls not to be re-supplied. Studios A studio is one room living-cum-sleeping accommodation, usually with sofa beds, basic kitchen facilities (two cooking rings and a fridge) and a shower room. Apartments An apartment is self-contained, with one or more bedrooms with twin or double beds, basic kitchen facilities (two cooking rings and fridge) and shower room. One-bedroom apartments usually have a separate living area, though in Greece multi-bedroom apartments may not have a separate living area. Beds in the living area may be foldaway. Views from a Balcony or Terrace: If you would like a specic view, please be aware that rooms described as having a pool or sea view may not have a full pool or full sea view because of plants or buildings blocking the view. Meal Service: Providing meals from a self-service buffet is popular in hotels. We include the most up-to-date information we have about meal service in our accommodation descriptions, but occasionally arrangements will change. Breakfast will be of the continental type unless stated otherwise. In certain properties, extended or English type breakfasts are available and may be at an extra charge. Many properties are not necessarily used to catering for special diets and therefore if you have particular or specic requirements, you may nd that the choice is limited. All-inclusive holidays: All-inclusive holidays offer every opportunity for relaxing, taking part in sports and games, and generally enjoying yourself. However, as with everything in life there are some simple rules which will help you in achieving this aim: Identication When you arrive at your hotel, you are likely to be provided with a form of identication (it may be a card, necklace or bracelet), which will have to be shown when ordering drinks, meals and other included facilities. Ensure you take care of this as a penalty charge is likely to be imposed if it is lost. Behaviour Both Club 18-30 and the all-inclusive hotel reserves the right to withdraw the identication facility of any guest(s) whose behaviour is deemed, in the opinion of the management, detrimental to the enjoyment of the other guests. Restaurants Please refer to the earlier section on Meal Service for information about the meal arrangements. Alcohol Having drinks freely available throughout the day can be a temptation for over-indulge. Please consider your fellow guests (and your own health) while bearing in mind that hotel management has every right to refuse service to any guests they believe to be intoxicated or under age (in accordance with local law). Bottled mineral water In some all-inclusive hotels, bottled mineral water does not form part of the unlimited soft drinks service Locally-sourced drinks and snacks The included facilities and services are clearly stated in the All-inclusive section. Drinks included are generally only locally-produced brands. Cocktails, international drinks (imported from other countries but may not necessarily be recognised in the UK), international brands (recognised in the UK market), premium brands and fruit juices are not available unless stated. Whilst we endeavour to provide locally-produced bottled mineral water as part of the unlimited soft drinks service at out all-inclusive properties, this service cannot be guaranteed. The type and variety of snacks served (between meal times) will vary between hotels and resorts, and may be of a traditional or local variety. Whats not included Any additional facilities or services available may incur a charge. Coming Home Most hotels remove access to all-inclusive facilities, including food and drink, at the time of checkout, which is generally 12:00 (noon) on the day of departure. How many nights are spent in your accommodation? Your accommodation is usually reserved for you from between 12:00 and 16:00 on the day of your departure from the UK. However at some larger hotels, delays may occur with check-in whilst your room is being prepared for you. For night ights departing between 00:00 and 04:00, the day of departure is deemed to be the previous day. In some cases, depending on your ight times, you may arrive in the early hours of the morning. Your accommodation should be immediately available to you, and in this case, it is classed as the rst night of your holiday. Rooms are normally vacated at the internationally recognised time of 12:00 (noon) on the last day of the holiday. However there are some areas where a 10:00 vacating time is operated. On occasions there may be several hours to wait before the departure of your ight home. In such cases a courtesy room may be made available for changing and storing luggage. Sometimes hotels will let you keep your room for a longer period but usually for a small charge. This is not always possible with apartments. Air Conditioning: Some properties have individual air conditioners located in either the bedroom or the living area, allowing you to adjust the atmosphere to your liking. Unless otherwise stated, air conditioning will be centrally controlled. This means it is operated at the discretion of the management, both in the bedrooms and public areas. In such cases, air conditioning may be limited to particular times of the day and the hottest months of the year. There is normally a charge for air conditioning in rooms. Other Guests: We do not have exclusive use of all properties featured in this guide. It is possible, therefore, that there may be guests from other countries and of mixed age groups at your accommodation. Swimming Pools: Swimming pools at properties come in various shapes and sizes. Pools may be rectangular, free form or lagoon style, and the size of the pool may not always be clearly captured by our guide photography. Pools may be freshwater or saltwater and vary in depth. Please refer to the Safety and Hygiene section for important safety advice about swimming pools. Accommodation Maintenance: Certain accommodation featured in this guide is operational all year round. From time to time, it will be necessary for some facilities to be withdrawn for general upkeep and maintenance purposes. Water and electricity supplies may be interrupted whilst this essential maintenance is undertaken. Cleaning: The standard and frequency of cleaning and linen change can vary from resort to resort and property to property depending on general standards in resort and the rating of your accommodation. For instance, cleaning and changing of linen in Greece and mainland Spain will be of an acceptable standard, but it may not be as often as other resorts. Exclusive Properties: At the time of this guide going to print (August 2011) all properties featuring the exclusive logo are correct, however during the course of the year this is subject to change. Please note; exclusivity refers to exclusivity within the UK market only. Safety and Hygiene: Your health and safety is of paramount concern to us. In addition to monitoring the hygiene and safety standards in all the hotels and apartments that we use, it is appropriate that we bring to your attention the need for you to be careful and to take necessary precautions whilst overseas. We would ask you to pay close attention to the following information, together with any other information we, our agents or suppliers, provide to you before you go, during your ight, when you arrive in your destination and at your hotel. It is important that you familiarise yourself with this and any other information you are given or on display, because not only do we want you to have a great holiday, but we want you to have a safe holiday. Swimming Pools and Water Features: Some of our hotels and apartments welcome local people and other holidaymakers not residing at the property to use the swimming pool and facilities within the accommodation. This can lead to pool areas becoming busy at times, and sunbathing space and available sunloungers may become limited. Please make use of the pool shower facilities before swimming. This helps to prevent any potential infections and helps to keep the pool clean. The pool at your chosen accommodation may be fresh or salt water. Every pool is different and most hotels and apartments do not employ lifeguards, so you are strongly recommended to familiarise yourself with the pool layout, identifying the deep and shallow ends before use. Do not use the pool after dark or when the pool is closed, even if the pool has underwater lights. You should never swim when you have been drinking alcohol. Some of our hotels and apartments have water features, such as slides or umes, which may appear in our photography. It is possible such features may have been replaced or removed since the photography was taken. Many holidaymakers like to enjoy slides and umes. Therefore we would like to bring to your attention to the following important safety information: Hotels policies on lifeguards and supervision of waterslides may vary and qualied lifeguards may not be present at all hotels or apartments at all times. You should familiarise yourself with the pool layout, depths and presence of any lifeguards before you or anyone travelling with you uses the facilities. Age and height restrictions may apply. Avoid swimming into landing areas and ensure that they are vacated quickly. Some slides and water features will not be suitable for weak swimmers. If you are pregnant or have certain medical conditions, please check with your GP before using the facilities. All notices and pool rules for safe use of the slides and water features must be observed at all times. Opening times of slides are dependant on weather conditions and facilities may not be operational throughout the season. Never use the slides or water features when they are closed. Never use the slides or water features if you have been drinking alcohol. Overseas Safety Standards: Regrettably, the safety standards and regulations overseas may not be of the same level that we enjoy in the UK. For instance, the design and height of balconies may differ. The setting and enforcement of local regulations is a matter for the authorities of the country and the foreign supplier of the services concerned. We are working with hoteliers to improve standards wherever possible. You should familiarise yourself with re procedures, including emergency exits in your accommodation, the swimming pool(s) area and any unfamiliar cooking appliances. If in doubt, ask your representative or an appropriate member of staff. YOUR RESORT Representatives: When it comes to knowing whats what and being helpful, we believe our reps are the best in the business. Theyre thoroughly trained in making sure that you have a great holiday, plus they are experts in the local area and their knowledge is at your disposal. They make frequent visits to our hotels and apartments at regular times. Our reps are always on hand to help resolve any particular problem whilst on holiday. If you have a complaint, they will need to know about it, and they will do their best to solve the problem and minimise any inconvenience. This will also help us to improve the holiday experience for all our customers. There may be times when your rep is unable to solve a particular problem immediately. While appreciating that this may be upsetting for customers, Club 18-30 does expect them to behave in a reasonable manner towards its staff. Consequently, should any customer act in a threatening or intimidating manner towards Club 18-30 staff, we shall have no hesitation in taking appropriate legal measures. Resorts: In low season, resorts can be quiet with some facilities in limited supply, whereas in high season the resort is sure to be full, with facilities in full swing. However, there may be occasions where hoteliers or providers of services withdraw a facility temporarily or otherwise due to lack of demand, especially at the start or end of the season. Resort Development: Some of the destinations in this guide are still being developed, and even in more established resorts there is often a possibility of building work taking place. If, in our opinion, this is likely to affect your booked accommodation, we will tell you at the time of booking or, if you have already booked, you will be contacted before departure if there is time. Please refer to the Booking Conditions, section Circumstances beyond our control for more information. Conditions in Holiday Resorts: If there is a specic problem affecting your accommodation, you should report this to the accommodation staff and, if necessary, to our appointed representative who will do his or her best to help resolve this. Insects such as ants, mosquitoes and cockroaches are common in hot countries. The sight of such creatures can be off-putting if you are not used to seeing them, but they are usually harmless and they do not mean your accommodation is dirty or unhygienic. Out and About: Due to rough terrain and uneven surfaces, we recommend that you are extra careful and vigilant when visiting sites of interest and when crossing roads. Crimes against people and property are a fact of life throughout the world, and you have the same responsibility for your own safety as you do at home. In some places the local police may not be very cooperative or interested when you report a theft or need insurance conrmation, so always take care of your property. It is recommended that you do not approach cats and dogs and other animals, as these may carry the rabies disease which can be passed on through bites and scratches. Please exercise caution before entering the sea as the seabed is not even and changes in depth. The sea is capable of springing surprises and we have not inspected the beach or seabed for its safety. Local Information: Please note that areas surrounding your holiday accommodation do not form part of your package holiday and have not been inspected. These include the sea, beaches, roads and mountains. You are responsible for taking reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of your party. Local events, religious festivities and public holidays are likely to inuence the provision of services and facilities within the hotels and around holiday resorts at certain times. Customers are advised that there may be local laws in the country that they are intending to visit that restrict alcohol sale and consumption to individuals of a minimum age, which may in some cases be higher than 17 years. In addition, there may be local laws specifying a minimum age for access into clubs, bars and pubs. Where Club 18-30 organises an excursion which includes the provision of alcoholic beverages, a soft drink option will be available for non-drinkers and those under the local legal minimum age for alcohol consumption. Restrictive legislation against smoking in public places is becoming increasingly common in destinations worldwide. You may nd your holiday resort operates enforced smoking restrictions in areas including, but not limited to, enclosed public areas such as bars, pubs and restaurants. Fines may be imposed for breaching regulations. To nd out more visit the FCO website fco.gov.uk. Tropical Hazards: Sun The closer you are to the tropics, the stronger the effect of the sun. Do not overdo sunbathing when you rst arrive. You should also be aware of heat exhaustion until you acclimatise. Avoid overexertion, drink plenty of non-alcoholic uids and only drink bottled water. Stomach upsets It is still a relatively common occurrence to suffer gastric illness when travelling abroad and being exposed to a different environment. There are many ways you can reduce the possibility of being affected, such as not eating undercooked food and avoiding ice in drinks. Insects Mosquitoes can be a particular nuisance, especially after rainfall. Insect repellent is strongly recommended. Driving: Laws, licensing requirements and age limits vary throughout the world. We recommend you check with your travel agent or the relevant embassy and consulate. Water sports and Sporting Activities: We refer to a number of water sports and other sporting activities within the guide, none of which are either owned or operated by Club 18-30. We cannot guarantee that they are maintained or operated with the customers safety in mind. We would ask that you also take reasonable precautions to protect yourself and your party whilst on holiday, and would recommend that you only use companies who demonstrate good safety practices. You should ensure water sports and other similar sporting activities you wish to take part in are covered by your own holiday insurance, as some activities may be considered hazardous and are specically excluded or have special conditions by some insurance companies. GENERAL Maps and Distances: The maps shown are for general information only and are not necessarily to scale or may not accurately show the exact location of places marked on the maps. All distances and travel times described in this guide are approximate and may vary depending on route taken. Destination Price Guides: Prices given in the resort information sections are only an approximate guide to the cost of items you may want to buy in resort. Event package prices may differ throughout the season. Photographs: Photographs show places in the regions featured in this guide, but you may not see these locations on your holiday. We also use pictures to create a feel of an area and they may not necessarily represent the resort being described. Rooms shown in photographs are not necessarily the standard for the property being described. ABTA - The Travel Association: Thomas Cook Tour Operations Ltd is a member of ABTA with membership number V6896. ABTA and ABTA members help holidaymakers to get the most from their travel and assist them when things do not go according to plan. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTAs Code of Conduct. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking. For further information visit the ATOL website at atol.org.uk. The price of your holiday includes the amount of 2.50 per person as part of the ATOL protection contribution (APC) we pay to the CAA. This charge is included in our advertised prices but will be shown separately on your conrmation invoice. Where you book a package holiday from our guide or website which does not include a ight, we provide security by way of a bond held by ABTA. If you book arrangements other than a package holiday or a ight from us, the nancial protection above does not apply. Telephone Calls: Calls to 0844 numbers are charged at 5p per minute and calls to 0871 numbers are charged at 10p per minute (from BT xed lines. Mobile and other providers charges may vary ). To ensure we consistently deliver excellent customer service, telephone calls to our UK ofces are recorded.

not pay compensation. The ights we offer are operated by a range of scheduled or charter airlines, using wide or narrow body jet aircraft. It may not be possible at the time of booking to specify the airline or type of aircraft. Please note that two airlines may share the same services, therefore a ight may not be operated by the airline whose designated code is shown on your itinerary and ticket. We are required to inform you of the identity of the airline operating your ight. You will be notied of any changes to the operating airline in all cases at check in or at the boarding gate. We reserve the right to change airlines or aircraft types at any time and changes of this type will not constitute a signicant change. A5. Cancellation by us: We can cancel your package and any other package we operate. On rare occasions, we may need to cancel your package if there is insufcient demand for your particular package. If we have to cancel a package for any particular reason, we will tell you as soon as reasonably possible. In these circumstances, we will, if we are able to do so, offer you an alternative package of equivalent or closely similar standard and price at no extra cost, or a less expensive package, in which case we will refund the difference in price. If you do not wish to take the alternative we offer you, you can choose another offered for sale by us and pay, or receive a full refund of, any price difference. Or, if you prefer, you can receive a full refund of any money you have paid to us, except for any amendment charges. We will consider an appropriate refund of insurance premiums paid if you can show that you are unable to transfer or reuse your policy. However, we will not cancel your package within 10 weeks of departure except if we are forced to do so because of unusual circumstances we could not have foreseen, where we could not avoid the results of those circumstances even after taking all reasonable care (see below, Circumstances beyond our control). No compensation will be payable in these circumstances, whenever they happen, and we will only have to offer you the above choices. We can also cancel if you fail to make payment for your booking on time. A6. Circumstances beyond our control: Except where we say differently elsewhere in these conditions, we will not pay any compensation, reimburse expenses, or cover losses for any amount or otherwise accept responsibility if we have to change your package after departure, or we, or our suppliers, cannot supply your package, as we, or they, had agreed, or you suffer any loss or damage of any description, as a result of circumstances beyond our control. When we refer to circumstances beyond our control, we mean any event that we, or the supplier in question, could not foresee or avoid, even after taking all reasonable care. Such circumstances will usually include, but are not limited to, war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial dispute, bad weather (actual or threatened) and signicant building work ongoing outside of your accommodation, which is not known to us in advance of your departure date and building work from a third party (such as resort development). A7. Changes made after travel: If, after your departure, a signicant part of your pre-booked package arrangements cannot be provided, you will be offered a suitable alternative if possible. If appropriate, we will also pay you compensation in accordance with the table in the section entitled Changes made by us before travel unless the reason for the change is due to circumstances beyond our control (see section entitled Circumstances beyond our control). If it is not possible to offer you a suitable alternative or, for good reasons, you do not accept the alternative arrangements, you will have the right to cancel your booking. In this event, you will have the right to be returned by the same means of transport to your original departure point at no extra cost, provided that transport is available. This does not impose an obligation on us to make specic transport arrangements for you if none are available. A8. Flight delays: Delays sometimes occur. We work closely with the airlines and overseas ofces to make sure any delay is as short as possible. When a delay occurs we will try to make sure refreshments or meals are provided when appropriate. We will not do this ourselves as such arrangements will normally be the responsibility of the airline. If you have taken out our recommended travel insurance or a comparable policy, you should have cover against delays. A9. Our liability to you: (i) Our obligations, and those of our suppliers providing any service or facility involved in any of your package, are to take reasonable skill and care to arrange for the provision of such services and facilities and, where we or our supplier is actually providing the service or facility, to provide them with reasonable skill and care. Compliance with any applicable regulatory requirements (such as, for example, those of the Civil Aviation Authority) will be proper performance of our, and our suppliers, obligations. Conversely, however, reasonable skill and care does not necessarily mean compliance with each and every local law and regulation, particularly where these impose absolute obligations. You must show that reasonable skill and care has not been used if you wish to make any claim. (ii) For claims which do not involve death or personal injury, we accept liability, subject to paragraph (i) above and (iv) below, should any part of your package not be as described in this guide or elsewhere by us before you leave the UK. If we have liability, we will, subject to clauses C10 and C13 below, pay you reasonable compensation. However, the maximum we will pay you in any circumstances is twice the price of the package. This maximum will only be payable when every aspect of your package has gone wrong and you have not received any benet from your package. Any sums received by you from suppliers, will be deducted from any sum paid to you as compensation by us. (iii) For claims which involve death or personal injury as a result of an activity forming part of your package (excluding resort booked excursions see section C6), we have liability subject to paragraph (i) above and (iv) below. If we accept liability, we will, subject to paragraphs (v) and (vi) below and clause C10, pay you reasonable compensation. (iv) We accept liability in accordance with paragraphs (i), (ii) and (iii) above and subject to paragraphs (v) and
A4. Minor changes by us before travel: Any change which we do not consider signicant is a minor change. We will endeavour to tell you about a minor change before you travel but we are not obliged to do so and we will

(vi) below and clause C10 below, except where the cause of the failure in your package or any death or personal injury you may suffer is not due to any fault on our part or that of our servants, agents or suppliers, and is either attributable to you, or attributable to someone unconnected with the package and is unforeseeable or unavoidable, or due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised, or an event which neither we, nor our servants, agents or suppliers could have foreseen or forestalled. (v) You are obliged to assist us in recovering from any third party any sum which may compensate us for any sums we pay you. In particular, you are obliged to assign to us any rights that you may have against any other person whose acts or omissions have caused or contributed to our legal liability to pay you compensation. You must also provide us with all assistance we may reasonably require. Finally, you must follow the procedures for the notication of complaints set out in the clause below entitled If you have a complaint. (vi) Should you become ill while on your package, you must, in addition to reporting your illness to your accommodation provider, consult a local doctor and also consult your GP upon your return to the UK. Should you then wish to make a claim against us as a result of that illness, you must provide us with details of both the local doctor whom you saw and your GP, together with written authority for us to obtain a medical report from both those doctors. (vii) If you or any member of your party suffers illness, injury or death, through misadventure, as a result of any activity which does not form part of your contracted package arrangements, we will provide you with all reasonable assistance. This assistance may include our making a contribution towards your initial legal costs in taking action against the person(s) responsible providing you request this within 90 days of the incident in question. All assistance (nancial or otherwise) is subject to our reasonable discretion and a maximum total cost to ourselves of 5,000 per booking form. If you are entitled to have any costs and expenses arising from such an incident met by or from any insurance policy or if you obtain a costs order against anyone in relation to the incident, you must repay to us the costs and expenses we spend in assisting you. (viii) Other than as set out above, and as is detailed elsewhere in these booking conditions, we shall have no legal liability whatsoever to you for any loss, damage, personal injury or death which you suffer arising directly or indirectly from any aspect of your package. A10. Airline collapse: In the unlikely event that the airline with which you are travelling ceases to trade whilst you are abroad, you must contact us at the earliest opportunity to allow us to seek to nd you an alternative return ight. We shall not be liable for any costs you incur in making your own return ight arrangements if you have not given us the opportunity to arrange an alternative ight home for you. B. Single components The terms set out below, together with the terms set out in Section C, apply when you book individual travel components such as only a hotel. They apply whether you book one component or more than one component. Booking more than one component does not create a package. B1. Price changes: Price increases may occur any time prior to departure. You will be liable to pay any such increases in full. If, before you book, we know of circumstances that may cause an increase in the price of your booking after you have paid, we will endeavour to provide details to you. B2. Transfer of bookings: In the case of a scheduled ight-only booking, transfer to another person will involve cancelling the original booking, thereby incurring any relevant cancellation charges and then making a new booking, which will be subject to availability and any additional price increase. Transfer of any other type of booking is subject to the suppliers own terms and conditions and the applicable amendment or cancellation charges as stated in Section C. B3. Our liability to you: Our responsibility is to make arrangements for the provision by the relevant suppliers (including air carrier of air transport, accommodation owner/supplier, car hire provider) of the components you book, but we do not have any responsibility for the operation of the component itself. We have no liability to you for any dissatisfaction, loss of enjoyment, loss, injury or damage which results from your use of the single component unless we have negligently failed to select a normally competent provider of the relevant component. Further, we have no liability to you in any event for any consequential loss which you may suffer in relation to any arrangements which you book to coincide with the single component you have booked with us. Please note, in the unlikely event of our collapse/insolvency, any money you have paid is not protected by a scheme of nancial protection. If this is important to you, we recommend you book a package with us or obtain suitable travel insurance. C. All bookings Before you book, please visit our website or discuss your choice of destination, accommodation and transport with our reservations staff or your travel agent, to make sure it will be suitable for you and the people you will be travelling with. Some travel and accommodation arrangements are only available on a request basis where this is the case you will be advised at the time you make your enquiry and details of the arrangements on request will be shown on any documentation we issue. Any arrangements on which we advise you are on request, are not conrmed or guaranteed and are subject to change until we receive conrmation from our supplier. C1. Your holiday booking: Before you book, please discuss your choice of resort, accommodation and transport with our reservations staff, to make sure it will be suitable for you and the people you will be travelling with. The minimum age for travel is 17; the maximum age is 35. To be permitted to travel you must be within this age range on the day of departure. If you are booking a holiday in an all-inclusive property, all passengers on the booking must be over 18 on the day of departure. Any customer who is under the age of 18 at the time of booking must provide written authority from their parent or legal guardian. The travel agent may ask the parent/guardian to produce a copy of their passport showing their name and signature. Written permission from a parent/guardian cannot be accepted unless their signature can be checked. If on the day of departure you are under the age of 18, you must take written authority from your parent or legal guardian with you on holiday as many of our properties now require parental consent to have been given before allowing customers under the age of 18 to stay at the property. There are no exceptions to these rules. The person who signs the booking form or completes the booking online or by telephone is the lead name. He or she must be 18 years of age or over at the time of booking. If all customers on a booking are under the age of 18, then a parent or legal guardian is required to sign the booking form in the presence of a travel agent and in this case, a contract will exist between your parent/guardian and us. Please note, telephone and online bookings cannot be made if all customers on a booking are under the age of 18. The lead name is responsible for payment of the total booking price, including any insurance premiums and subsequent cancellation or amendment charges that may be payable. He or she also agrees to provide accurate and full information to the remainder of the travelling party in relation to the booking, including any changes thereto and conrms that all the other members of the party, including any that may be added at a later date, agree to be bound by these conditions, and all other information in the relevant guide and on our websites (as applicable). For all bookings as described in Section A and/ or Section B above, a contract will exist between you and us when we issue a conrmation invoice/receipt/email. C2. Late holiday bookings: Certain bookings made within 14 weeks of departure will be regarded as Late
Holiday bookings. You will be told at the time of booking whether or not the booking you seek to make is a normal booking or a late holiday booking, and the difference between the two. It will then be your choice as to how you wish to proceed. Please be aware that late holiday bookings always require payment of the price in full at the time of booking, whenever that may be. Late holiday bookings may be either booked through promotional publications, from a guide or on the website. Accommodation may either be named at the time of booking or allocated when you arrive at your destination. Late holiday bookings are not always cheaper than the prices in the guide, as prices are set according to demand. Additional terms and conditions apply for late holiday bookings and these are contained on our reservation system and website. Not all services and facilities advertised in this guide will be available for late holiday bookings. Please check with our reservations staff or on our website before booking. C3. Payment terms: When you book your holiday you agree to pay us either: A deposit at the time of booking, followed by the remaining balance due on the booking. You will be advised of the current deposit payable at the time of booking. The remaining balance for the holiday is due by the date specied on your conrmation invoice or requested by your travel agent (this will usually be either 10 or 14 weeks before your travel date, depending on the type of holiday booked). The full cost of the holiday if required by the supplier of the travel services that you book or if you book a late holiday (see Late holiday bookings above for a denition), or, if it is 10 or 14 weeks or less before you go (depending on the type of holiday booked). Please note failure to pay on time will result in cancellation. If you are purchasing a travel insurance policy through us, the premium for this will also be payable at time of booking. C4. Special requests: If you have a special request for anything that is not automatically part of the travel arrangements you book through us, please advise us when you book and we will pass this information on to the companies we work with. Our note of your request on your invoice/receipt conrms we have received it and does not guarantee that we, or the relevant supplier, can meet your request. Where possible, they will try to help you, but we cannot guarantee any request unless it is noted on your invoice/receipt and we also conrm the request separately in writing. We must emphasise that verbal conrmations of special requests cannot be taken as a guarantee that they will be met eg. special meal types on ights. C5. Insurance: You must take out adequate travel insurance suitable for your needs before you travel. We cannot be responsible for any costs you incur as a result of you failing to do so. For your own peace of mind, the insurance should cover you if you have to cancel your arrangements, or for any emergencies such as illness or injury that arise while you are away. If you have not already purchased travel insurance, please visit thomascook.com or your Thomas Cook store for a no-obligation quote. C6. Excursions: Excursions include, but are not restricted to, any sightseeing trips, gigs, events or other tours attended in resort for which additional payment is required. Excursions can either be booked and/or paid for in resort (Resort booked excursions) or pre-booked and paid for when you book your holiday (Pre-booked excursion). All excursions are supplied by third-party suppliers and are subject to clause C8. We accept, subject to clauses A9 and C8 entitled Suppliers conditions and Our Liability to You below, responsibility for pre-booked excursions. However, resort booked excursions do not form part of your package and are not governed by the Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tours Regulations 1992. We do not have any responsibility or liability whatsoever for anything which may go wrong on a resort booked excursion. We, our servants, employees or agents are acting, depending upon the actual resort booked excursion, either as agents for the relevant resort booked excursion supplier or as agent for you. In any event the contract for any resort booked excursion is between you and the resort booked excursion provider, it is your responsibility to note carefully any conditions of contract contained in any resort booked excursion, literature, ticket or receipt you are given. For resort booked excursions, you may be subject to the laws of the country in which you take your excursion and may be required to bring any disputes or claims before the courts of that country also. C7. Changes you make before travel: If you want to change the arrangements you have booked in any way, we will try to help you, although we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to do this as changes are subject to availability at the time and to the transport providers terms and conditions. Please note that, typically, changes to scheduled ight tickets and other transport providers are very restrictive. Where we can make a change, we will charge for any additional services, facilities, or other items changed, at the price which applies on the day the change is made. In addition, we will also apply charges for each person on the booking and for each item you want to change as shown in the table below. Any booking discount you may have received at the time the original booking was made, may be altered or reduced whenever changes are made. If you have paid supplements for accommodation and the number of people in your accommodation changes, you may have to pay extra and may lose any free group places. Note 1: It is not possible to transfer your booking to a departure date more than six months after your original travel date without incurring cancellation charges. Note 2: You are not permitted to change all the names on any booking and at least one of the passengers (over 18) on the original booking must remain, unless you are prevented from travelling for reasons beyond your control and not simply from a change of mind. Name changes on day of departure, where permitted, will incur additional administration costs. Note 3: When we refer to optional extras, we mean anything you choose to add to your booking that is additional to the inclusive transport and accommodation arrangements you book. For example, car hire, weddings or park tickets. If you cancel any optional extras for which there is a cost, we will apply the charges below.

thomascook.com/customer relations. We would point out that failure to follow the above procedures during your holiday, and/or failure to complain within 28 days of your return, may reduce or extinguish any rights you have to claim compensation from us, or from any relevant supplier. Any such rights will be reduced or extinguished if, had you followed the above procedures during your holiday, you or we could have taken steps to reduce any loss or damage suffered or entirely prevented it from being suffered. It is difcult and sometimes impossible to properly investigate a complaint if we are not told about it reasonably quickly once the holiday is over. Your right to claim compensation may also be reduced or extinguished, should any delay in your complaint being notied during or after your holiday, prevent us from carrying out a proper investigation. We aim to resolve all complaints ourselves, but if this is not possible your complaint can be considered under a scheme devised by ABTA and administered by IDRS Ltd. We will give you details of this scheme if you ask. The scheme does not apply to claims over 25,000 in total or more than 5,000 a person, or to claims mainly about illness or injury. To take advantage of the scheme you must contact the IDRS Ltd within 12 months of returning from your holiday. C15. Travel document, advance passenger information and health advice: It is your responsibility to have valid travel documents. If we or your carrier are ned as a result of you holding incorrect documents, you will have to pay us the full amount. For up to date UK Government Health and Travel advice please visit fco.gov.uk, hpa.org.uk and nathnac.org or contact your GP. See our Holiday Information pages and website for further information. C17. Data Protection: By making a booking with us, you agree that we may use and disclose the information you provide for the following purposes: To enable us to process your booking (which will include passing your information to third party suppliers, such as hoteliers and airlines, and may involve sending your information to countries that do not have an equal level of privacy legislation to that in the UK); for market research and analysis purposes; for improving customer service; for the detection and prevention of fraud or other crime (which may include providing your information to organisations such as banks and credit card companies); for compliance with legal requirements (which will include passing your information to public authorities such as customs and immigration); and for marketing contact by means of post or telephone to provide you with offers, products and services from companies within the Thomas Cook Group and carefully selected third parties. If you purchase travel insurance from us, we will need to pass your personal data (including sensitive personal data relating to other members of your travelling party) to the insurance company. Telephone calls to/from ourselves may be recorded for training and quality purposes and for preventing/detecting crime. If you have booked with us via our website, or if you have chosen for us to contact you by email, we will communicate with you using the email address you have provided to supply you with your travel documentation. We are entitled to assume that the email address you have provided us with is correct and that you understand and accept the risks associated with using this form of communication. Please note that you may still need to contact us by post or via our call centre as required by our booking conditions. Your responsibility: We want all our customers to have an enjoyable, carefree holiday. But you must remember that you are responsible for your actions and the effect they may have on others. If we, or another person in authority, believe: Your actions could upset, annoy or disturb other customers, our suppliers or our own staff, or put them in any risk or danger, or damage property; or You are unt to travel; we may end your holiday and terminate your contract. You and your travelling party will be prevented from using your booked accommodation, transport, and any other travel arrangements forming part of your booking and we will not be liable for any refund, compensation or any other costs you have to pay. Alternatively at our discretion, you may be permitted to continue with your holiday but may have additional terms of carriage imposed upon you. See Inight safety in the All you need to know/Holiday information sections of the relevant guide and on our website for further details. In addition to the above and the effect your actions may have on others, you must particularly also bear in mind that you are responsible for your safety, and that you are responsible for the condition of the property you occupy. We are not responsible for any accidents which occur in or around swimming pools due to your inappropriate, or irresponsible behaviour, or for any accidents which occur anywhere on properties because of glass, china or the like which you have broken and/or have left in a way in which injury can result. We expect that you will enjoy your holiday with us. We appreciate that you may well drink alcohol as part of your enjoyment. You must, however, do so responsibly and we will have no liability to you for any injury, loss or damage you suffer as a result of your judgment being impaired wholly or partly by alcohol. We will hold you and the members of your travelling party jointly and individually liable for any damage to the accommodation, furniture, apparatus or other materials located within the accommodation, together with any legal costs we incur in pursuing a claim. It is your duty to report any breakages, defects or damage to an appropriate person immediately. If your behaviour or the behaviour of any members of your travelling party causes any transport aircraft to be diverted we and/or the carrier will hold you and those members jointly and individually liable for all costs incurred as a result of that diversion. If any member of the booking cancels and you cannot ll that persons place, you may have to pay additional supplements for your accommodation. For example, you may have to pay single or under-occupancy supplements. If you do cancel, you must still pay any insurance premiums and amendment charges, which arose before the cancellation, and any deposits paid for any pre-booked items or services. Exception: Cancellation of certain transport arrangements, typically scheduled airline (including Low cost carriers / No frills airlines) tickets can result in up to 100% cancellation charges regardless of the notice period given to us. We reserve the right to pass on these charges which will apply to the transport element of your booking and the cancellation charges in the scale above will apply to the other elements of your booking (eg. accommodation, optional extras). Similarly, name changes (including initial changes), destination and date changes can be treated by such suppliers as a cancellation and re-booking, regardless of the period of notice given to us. If the supplier treats the change as a cancellation and rebooking we will pass on to you the cost imposed by the supplier, which could be up to 100% of the transport element of your booking and you must also pay the charge listed in the section Changes you make before you travel above. Also note that the transport provider may refuse to issue replacement tickets for lost or stolen tickets and new tickets may have to be purchased by you. The cost of the new ticket may be greater than the cost of the original ticket. C9. Suppliers conditions: Our third party suppliers have their own booking conditions and conditions of carriage, and you will be bound by these, so far as the relevant supplier is concerned. Our suppliers conditions will also apply to your contract with us, and in the event of any conict between the suppliers conditions and our conditions, the suppliers conditions will prevail, save to the extent that any term in the suppliers conditions is deemed to be invalid or unenforceable, in which event our conditions will prevail. Some of our suppliers conditions may limit or exclude liability on the part of the relevant supplier, and, by virtue of their application to your contract with us, may also limit or exclude our liability to you, and they are often subject to international conventions. Where relevant, copies of such conditions may be available for inspection at the ofce of the relevant supplier. C10. International conventions: If any international convention applies to or governs any of the services or facilities arranged or provided by us, or provided by any of our suppliers, and you make a claim against us of any nature arising out of death, injury, loss or damage suffered during or as a result of the provision of those services or facilities, our liability to pay you compensation and/or the amount (if any) of compensation payable to you by us will be limited in accordance with and/or in an identical manner to that provided for by the international convention concerned (in each case including in respect of the conditions of liability, the time for bringing any claim and the type and amount of any damages that can be awarded). International conventions which may apply include: in respect of international air travel, the Warsaw Convention 1929 (including as amended by the Hague Protocol of 1955 and by any of the additional Montreal Protocol of 1975 or the Montreal Convention 1999); in respect of rail travel, the COTIF Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail 1980 (as amended); in respect of carriage by sea, the Athens Convention 1974; in respect of carriage by road, the Geneva Convention 1973; and, in respect of hotels, the Paris Convention 1962. You can get copies of the relevant conventions if you ask us. For the avoidance of doubt, this means that we are to be regarded as having all benet of any limitations of compensation contained in any of these conventions or any other international conventions applicable to your travel arrangements. C11. Baggage: The amount of compensation we will pay for any loss or damage to luggage is limited in accordance with the conventions listed in the above section. For claims for missing or damaged baggage you must follow the rules on the back or your ticket or contained within the carriers conditions of carriage. Please note time limits apply within which to notify us or the carrier and make a claim. We will not accept liability for high-value items which you should insure for the appropriate amount. C12. Flight and other travel timings: Flight timings are provided by airlines and are subject to air trafc control restrictions. All means of transportation are subject to weather conditions and the need for constant maintenance and the ability of passengers to check in on time. There is no guarantee that transport will depart at the times stated on any itinerary or tickets which you receive. All timings are estimates only, and we do not have any liability to you for any delay, which may arise, or for any schedule alterations. C13. Denied boarding: Where a ight ticket is downgraded or a ight cancelled, delayed, or boarding is denied by any carrier in circumstances which would entitle you to compensation under the Denied Boarding Regulations 2004, then you are obliged to claim the appropriate sums pursuant to those regulations from the carrier. Any sums received by you in this respect constitute the full amount of your entitlement to compensation for all matters owing from the carriers actions and which fall within the scope of the Denied Boarding Regulations. If, for any reason, you do not claim against the carrier and make a claim for compensation from us, you must, at the time of payment of any compensation to you, make a complete assignment to us of the rights you have against the carrier in relation to the claim that gives rise to that compensation payment. C14. Complaints: We aim to provide the best holiday possible. However, if you are not satised please complain as soon as possible to the relevant person (for example, the accommodation management or transport supplier). If they cannot help, you must tell your holiday representative or our local agent and we will do everything reasonably possible to sort the problem out. If you are still not satised, ask your holiday representative or our local agent for a customer relations report form. If you do not have the services of a representative or our local agent, or they are not available, you must contact our UK duty ofce (on the number shown on your travel documentation) straight away. When you get back home, send a letter (and where possible, enclose your completed customer relations report form), to our ofces in the UK, within 28 days of returning home. If you have special needs that prevent you from writing to us then, where possible, we will accept details of your complaint over the telephone. For complaints arising from scheduled airlines, we will act as a liaison between you and the airline, to try to assist in resolving the problem. If we cannot help and you wish to take matters further, you must contact the airline directly. The address to send your completed form and covering letter to is: Customer Relations Dept., Club 18-30, 2/4 Godwin Street, Bradford, BD1 2ST. Register your complaint online at:
