The Central People's Government passed the Resolution on the National Day of the People's Republic of China on December 2, 1949 and declared October 1 as the National Day or Independence Day of China. China is the worlds longest constantly used written language system, and also the source of many of the world's greatest inventions, including the Four Great Inventions of ancient China- Paper, the Compass, Gunpowder, and Printing. China major exports are: office machines & data processing equipment, telecommunications equipment, electrical machinery and apparel & clothing. Chinas largest exports markets are European Union, United States, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea China imports mainly commodities: iron and steel, oil and mineral fuels as well as machinery and equipment, plastics, optical and medical equipment and organic chemicals. China has many natural resources such as coal, iron ore, gas, tin, tungsten, mercury, manganese, aluminum, zinc, lead, uranium,rice,coffe bean plants. The quality of some of the resources may not be as good as other countries which are why there are many of these resources imported into

China. They mix their own with the imported resources to make it more usable.
