The first work day was this past Saturday, but there will be many more upcoming opportunities to help. Please contact Dave Mitchell at 248-765-7424 or davem@sol-con.com if you are interested in getting involved in this ongoing project or if you have any questions. The address to the property is 7285 W Mason Rd., Fowlerville, MI 48836. Please note: Sharon is a single mom with two children (one is a special needs child). The family has been attending Oakland Hills OPC for about 15 years, and became members in 2004. They previously lived in one of the worst areas of Detroit, and have recently, with the church's assistance, been able to purchase an extreme "fixer-upper" house in Livingston County. Volunteer labor and donations will be essential in making this home liveable for the family. The need is great & we ask you to consider assisting.

ANNOUNCEMENTS The Transportation Ministry @ Love INC is in need of volunteers. Love INC always coordinates transportation requests with the volunteers schedule and when the volunteer is called, he/she may accept or reject the request. Our service area is Grandville, Jenison & Hudsonville and we will transport to within 30 miles of our office in Hudsonville. For more information or questions regarding this ministry, please call Ruth or Lauri with the Transportation Ministry at 662-3300 ext. 125. Meijer will match the funds raised so Love INC will receive double the amount donated for use in our food pantry. Pass the word. Thanks. The Family LIFE Center, a Christian maternity home in Allendale, is in need of additional volunteers in the areas of transportation and mentoring. If you want to support young women who choose life for their babies over abortion, please call 895-8336 for a volunteer application. We are also in need of additional board members who have the gifts of discernment, serving, and administration.

EASTER OUTREACH 2012 This year, Easter will be celebrated on April 8th. On that day, God will prompt millions of people around the world to attend church. For some reason, people who dont normally go to church will make a decision to do so on that day like no other time of the year. What can you do? Invite Your Friends Would you consider inviting your unchurched family and friends to church this Easter? They are all more likely to say yes to an Easter invitation than at any other time of the year. Hands down, personal invitation is the number one evangelism tool in the church. Would you commit to invite at least three un-churched friends and/or family members and let us know on your Connection Card so that we can plan and pray? Prayer If you are hesitant to invite people you know to church, you can begin by taking the less-intimidating step of praying for your friends and the church during our Easter outreach. Would you commit to pray daily for your un-churched family & friends and let us know on your Connection Cards? Day of Prayer & Fasting The session of Cedar Church will set aside Good Friday, April 6th, as a public day of prayer and fasting for our Easter services and outreach ministry. To learn more about the biblical practice of fasting, you can listen to a 3 part sermon series on fasting by Pastor Steve by clicking the fasting link under the sermon index at www.sermons.cedarchurch.net. Would you pledge to fast and pray for spiritual breakthrough that day? Easter Activities You and your guests are invited to a special pancake breakfast on Easter morning from 9:00 AM 10:00 AM. Our morning worship service will be held at 10:30 AM and there will be no Sunday School that day. We will also have special outreach gifts as a way of saying thank you to our guests that day.
