TXT File Release Notes for MINI-LINK Network Manager Demo, MNM DEMO, Version R4B (c) Copyright Ericsson Microwave Systems AB 1997. All Rights Reserved. This file contains the latest information about this version of MINI-LINK Network Manager Demo for Windows and other relevant information that may not be contained in the documentation. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * DEMO VERSION NOTE This demo version of MINI-LINK Network Manager has all the functionality as the MINI-LINK Network Manager and operates in the same way. The only difference between the demo and the real version is that the demo version can not be connected to a real network, instead it simulates a network by reading prerecorded data from a database. Some commands will result in a dialog saying 'No answer from XXXX' where 'XXXX' is the terminals ID. This is because sent command was not recorded and the data in the database can not be changed. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * NEW FEATURES COMPARED TO PREVIOUS VERSION, R3A 1) Back-plane Traffic routing introduced. 2) Support for new compact magazine, AMM 2U-3. 3) Preset function for factory setting of ML-E units introduced. 4) Possibility to define severity for User Input 1 and 2 introduced for MINI-LINK MkII and C equipment (Radio Modules and SMMs). 5) Search filter added in the Alarm-, Performance- and AGC log. 6) The new Alarm Log function, "Include Start and Stop", makes it possible to indicate when supervision of a terminal begins and ends. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * KNOWN LIMITATIONS 1) Graphical problem, White squares in terminal windows SYMPTOMS: Parts of the terminal window appears as white squares.
