RRDCTA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT: Scores earned by RRDCTA members riding horses owned by RRDCTA members are eligible for year end awards. Riders/owners may join at the show. Ride Times: All times are to be considered tentative. Ride Times will be made available April 26, 2012. Unless indicated otherwise on your entry, ride times will be sent via email. The following MUST ACCOMPANY YOUR ENTRY: 1. Copy of current, Negative Coggins Test 2. Both completed pages of entry form 3. Check for entry fees payable to SuCaro Ridge Show management will keep all documents, be sure to save a copy for your own records. A fee of $35 will be charged for returned checks. Entries will not be accepted without a check. Management reserves the right to limit entries or refuse any entry, combine, divide or cancel classes, use substitute judges or make any other changes as deemed appropriate at the time. Non-Compete Horses: Non-compete horses are welcome, but must submit a current Coggins Test and $30.00 non-compete fee. Late Entries: Late entries will be accepted at managements discretion. Any entry RECEIVED after the closing date (April 21, 2012) will be considered late and charged an additional $15 late fee. Directions: From I-85S: Take exit 26/Tallassee. Turn left at the top of the ramp onto Co. Rd. 30. Continue 2.5mi to stop sign at little white church, go straight through stop sign for 2.2 mi until you reach the second little white church, Bradfords Chapel. Make a right immediately after Bradfords Chapel onto Co. Rd. 29. SuCaro Ridge is 0.2mi on the right hand side of the road. From I-85 N Take exit 26/Tallassee. Turn right at the top of the ramp onto Co. Rd. 30. Continue 2.5mi to stop sign at little white church, go straight through stop sign for 2.2 mi until you reach the second little white church, Bradfords Chapel. Make a right immediately after Bradfords Chapel onto Co. Rd. 29. SuCaro Ridge is 0.2mi on the right hand side of the road. Dressage Arenas: A standard 20 X 60 meter arena will be used for all dressage classes, Training Level and higher. A small 20 x 40 meter arena will be used for all Introductory Level dressage classes, gaited horse dressage classes, and the dressage portion of all combined tests. Jumping Arena: The jumping portion of the combined tests will take place on fairly level, well-established turf. Practice fences will be available in the area past the competition venue. NO horses may school the competition jumps at any time. Riders may walk the course at any time prior to the start of the jumping competition. Lungeing/Warmup: A designated, enclosed lungeing area is provided. Footing is sandy loam. NO LUNGEING in anywhere other than the designated areas at any time. Warmup on well established turf is available past the competition area. Additional warmup on footing similar to that of the competition arena in the arena in the woods is available past the competition arena. Dogs: You may bring your dog to the show, but it must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and attached to a person or immovable object at ALL TIMES. A loose dog fine of $50, checks made out to Macon County Humane Society, will be imposed. THIS RULE WILL BE ENFORCED. UNDER ALABAMA LAW, AN EQUINE ACTIVITY SPONSOR OR EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FO AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES, PURSUANT TO THE EQUINE ACTIVITIES LIABILITY ACT. Show management reserves the right to split classes if entries warrant or to balance unusual amounts of entries, excessive scratches or due to extenuating circumstances. All entries must indicate JR/YR, AA, or Open on the entry blank or they will be considered Open in the case that entries warrant splitting classes. Prizes & Awards: Ribbons (first through sixth place) will be awarded for every class. All ribbons and prizes have been donated by SuCaro Ridge, The Farm at Milstead. Championship & Reserve Championship Prizes will be awarded for the following: 1. High Score Adult Amateur 2. High Score Open Rider 3. High Score Junior/Young Rider Attire/Equipment: Attire should be neat and workman-like. Colors must be conservative. Equipment rules described by the USEF will be followed for all classes. ASTM/SEI approved helmets must be worn by ANY rider schooling or competing over fences.

This show will use the MOST current edition of all tests.

Entering a TOC Class: Riders in a TOC class may choose to ride several tests, as long as they are not duplicate tests. Example: a Third Level TOC Rider may ride test 1, 2, and 3, but not test 1 twice. RRDCTA Score Reports: RRDCTA members, if you decide to submit a score for year end awards, be sure to complete your Score Report sheet and have the secretary sign it before you leave the show! Score report sheets have been sent to the membership via email PDF and in hard copy with the most recent edition of the newsletter. A link to the docoment is also on the RRDCTA Facebook Page. Riders/Owners that join RRDCTA at the show are eligible for awards!

By entering an RRDCTA-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The River Region Dressage and Combined Training Association, Inc. (the Association) and the local rules of the Competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Association and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the Competition, the Association, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Association and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable-casts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the Competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the Competition, sport, or the Association. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Association rules are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the following: I AGREE that the Association and Competition as used herein includes the Licensee and Competition Management, as well as all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and Association affiliates. I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death. (Harm). I AGREE to hold harmless and release the Federation and the Competition from all claims for money damages or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm of any nature caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm arises or results resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the Association or the Competition. I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of the Association or the Competition. I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the Association and the Competition and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse while at the Competition. I have read the United States Equestrian Federation Rules about protective equipment, including GR801 and if applicable, EV114, and I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and I acknowledge that the Association strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against all injuries. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the childs participation and AGREE to all of the above provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the childs behalf. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this competition. I AGREE that if I am injured at this competition, the medical personnel treating my injuries may provide information on my injury and treatment to the Association.
