Evaluation At first when our group first started coming with moves after selecting and breaking down or song, we were planning to use hip-hop or something similar as our theme. However trying to incorporate that theme into some of our moves as a group were not easy because a lot of hiphop moves are quite difficult to perform which is why we tried to select simple ones at first before making them more complex. Even our positioning and levels during the chorus got changed once we knew what we were doing. The changes to positioning and levels were actually suggested by Mr, Erik once we showed him our full dance sequence. We also used his feedback for the idea of snapping fingers and striking a pose at the end of the first chorus. I also received feedback from quite a few of my classmates to not look down at my feet or the ground while performing and instead look up and the audience, something which I think helped me when it came to the final performance. Creating the actual composition was probably as not as much as a difficulty as it was to prevent my two partners from arguing. It was clear that neither of them saw eye to eye but in the end the fact that if we didnt work together we werent going to get anything done kept the group together. Aside from that I think we didnt face many problems. Unlike previous years we managed to finish composing our moves quite fast which gave us more time to practice and perfect our performance which meant that we didnt need any extra time out of class to work on it. If I was to complete this task again I think I would change the music my group was using to suit our theme. In fact honestly I dont really think the song that we used was a dance song (one easy to dance to) because it took us a while to break down the music. However once we did there werent any more problems as far as the music was concerned. Our final performance went very well. I also think I showed a good amount of commitment to the task required because when our group wasnt concentrating I tried to get them to start working again and tried to keep everyone focused even though it was easy to get distracted. I think was because we had already practiced our moves so much we had more time to fix other details like levels, positioning and the energy that we showed while performing and overall Im very happy with how things went and Im glad we finally finished this unit.
