How to crack AIEEE 2012 About the exam If you aspire to become an engineer some day in India then

everything else can wait. First you have to get a AIEEE score card to apply to any college since AIEEE score is widely acceptable and most of the colleges take new students only on the basis of the AIEEE score. The AIEEE has made many changes recently but introducing online counseling, online admission/registration, etc. Rather than going for pen-paper examination the students will be able to give online exam. Thus the students would be able to receive the results immediately after finishing the examination. Basic Pattern of AIEEE The exam is of 3 hour duration and will consist of 120 questions. The total marks are 315. You will be provided with 4 options for each question and have to chose one correct answer. There is negative marking for every wrong answer. If you chose leave the answer blank then no marks would be deducted from the total score and would be marked zero marks. In this pattern, math and physics are considered as compulsory subjects and optional subject are chemistry, biotechnology, computer science and biology. Subjects covered There are two sets of paper. Paper 1 objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Paper 2 Objective type question to check Mathematics- I and general aptitude of candidate. Objective type question for basic drawing if the candidate want to pursue B. ARCH, B. Planning. For paper 1 the following weightage is considered: Physics 30 question Chemistry 30 questions Mathematics 30 questions Study Material for AIEEE The main focus is on physics and mathematics of 11th and 12th class so you need to throughly study the NCERT books. Good AIEEE preparation books: Newlights AIEEE by Jaggi, Chopra and Garg AIEEE ResnickHallidayWalker Resnick and Halliday Circuits devices and systems by R.J. Smith Physics by H.C. Verma S.S Krotov Aptitude Test Problems in Physics Nelkon and Parker Advanced Level Physics Chemistry-Morrison & Boyd Reaction mechanism in Organic Chemistry by Parmar Chawla Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J.D. Lee Chemistry-O.P. Aggarwal High school mathematics by Hall and Knight IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna Calculus and analytic geometry by Thomas and Finney Coordinate geometry by Loney Coordinate geometry by Loney Dr. Gorakh Prasad Co-ordinate Geometry book Important tips: You need to practice a whole lot of solved papers that are available online and you can also buy solved papers from the market as well. You need to consistantly practice mathematics and physics question as they would be time consuming and time management is very important during the exam. During the exam you need to solve the easy questions first so that you can find time to solve hard question later. Try to keep your cool and keep a watch on the time. If you have properly studied the syllabus of physics and mathematics of 11th and 12th class then 50 % of your

preparation is complete. If you are stuck up with a question, then leave the question and move on to the next one. But later, make sure that you are giving attempt to all the left out questions. Try concentrating on the logics of concepts, rather memorizing the formulas and procedures. Develop your own methodologies to solve a problem. The biggest difference between CBSE and AIEEE is CBSE focus on theory part whereas AIEEE focus on numerical part. Prepare according to the syllabus specifications, for example, in physics paper, there are two sections A and B; section A consists of theory part, which bears 80% weightage and section B comprises practical part, which bears 20% weightage. Thus in this case, more focus has to be given to the theoretical part to ensure maximum marks.
