I will attend national, regional, and local conferences to continue developing myself as a student affairs professional.
I would like to gain more experience in retention work and learn more creative ways to recruit students for various positions. I would like to learn more about the evaluation process of supervisees and incorporate into my profession.

I was fortunate enough to work at Rutgers University Newark, which was ranked the most diverse college campus in the country. Additionally, the work I will be doing at Bailey Gatzert will increase my competancies in this area. However, I need to continue pursuing opportunities of working with diverse population. One thing I need to be more mindful of is looking at every interaction and situation as a chance for me to learn from others. I do a fairly good job with supervising and I expect to continue to develop myself as a supervisor.
I want to do research and write in student affairs blogs as ways of enhancing my writing skills. I need to work on my self-confidence in this area by pushing myself out of my comfort zone more often.
I love creating group cohesion and would like to learn more ways of doing this!
I need to work on my facilitation skills and learn new ways to teach material to students.
I have a fear of public speaking that I need to get over. I can accomplish this by presenting at conferences more often and at smaller professional development opportunities as well.

I must continue to be engaged in committees to enhance my group development and collaboration with other student affairs professionals. One thing I would like more experience in is understanding all the elements in designing programming outside of New Student Orientation.
I do not have adequate experience with budget. I need to gain more experience in managing money I need to utilize theory more often in my professional work.

I need to speak my opinions more often to enact vision more frequently I would like to pursue a job that requires some type of integrity or ethical decision making for students. I need to do more research into how to appropriately handle crisis management so I can be prepared when they arise. I have good experience with strategizing, but would like to utilize my strengths more often. I need to ask more questions in general.

Flexibility is extremely important in the student affairs profession and I will need to be prepared to be flexible in the future.
