In both Tree of Tranquility and Animal Parade, however, you may wish to delay the increase of Heart Levels for any Rival until you have experience all Events with Eligible Girls or Bachelors first. In both games, the experience of Rival Heart Events is linked to your Rival's Heart Level and once you have experienced BOTH Rival Heart Events for any couple, that couple will marry, preventing you from experiencing any more of your own Events with the Eligible party. The successful conclusion of the Purple Bell Quest requires that you raise at least 10 individuals to 3 Hearts. If, like me, you try to court ALL Eligible Girls or Bachelors before you decide to marry any one, you will be well on your way to attaining 3 Hearts with most of them by the time you experience the Event at the Church that introduces you to the Wishing Shrine.

Raising Heart Levels in Animal Parade is a slow process, however, even if you visit individuals daily and ply them with their Most Favourite Gifts. As far as completing the Wish Quest is concerned, you have a choice either to visit the Wishing Shrine each time another individual reaches 3 Hearts or to wait until a total of 10 Characters have attained 3 Hearts. If you wish to know the Wish of EVERY Character in Animal Parade, you need not wait to complete the Purple Bell Quest in order to discover their Wishes. A Character's Wish can be told to the Wishing Shrine even after the power is restored and the Purple Bell rings. In fact, collecting the Wishes of all Characters will result in the award of the Heart Trophy. Whenever you visit the Wishing Shrine, which happens to be Perry's private bedchamber as well, you will be asked if you wish to tell a wish. If you respond in the affirmative, you will be taken to the Friends Page in your Farm Menu, but an additional icon will have been added to the name of any individual at three hearts or higher.
