signatures, color pallette, typography, and applications. This guide is provided to
help us build, grow, and maintain the Strobe brand.

Building our brand
A brand means more than just a |ogo. lt s|gn|fes who we are and
what sets us apart in the crowd. Building our brand is getting
people to believe Strobe is the obvious choice. To do that we need
everything that says Strobe websites, speech, whatever to be
consistent in delivery and meaning.

These gu|de||nes and assets are the bu||d|ng b|ocks for creat|ng
commun|cat|ons. They are essent|a| to our success. Each of us
shares responsibility in upholding brand standards and promoting
what we stand for.

Primary Logo
The pr|mary |ogo (shown to the r|ght} shou|d be used for
most brand app||cat|ons. ln fu|| co|or |t |s most represen-
tat|ona| of the |ogo brand. The |ogo |s made up of two
elements: the Strobe symbol and the Strobe wordmark.
When used together these components are always placed in
a fxed re|at|onsh|p and shou|d never be a|tered, mod|fed or
reproduced in any way.
A proport|ona| measur|ng system has been deve|oped for
a consistent layout use across all Strobe brand assets. The
system |s based on 'x" (the stroke we|ght of type |n the word-
mark}. The symbo| |s 8x |n he|ght and w|dth. The spac|ng
between the symbo| and wordmark |s a w|dth of 2x.

Minimum clear space
To ensure its integrity and visibility, the Strobe logo should
be kept c|ear of compet|ng text, |mages and graph|cs.
lt must be surrounded by a m|n|mum space equa| to 3x
(the stroke w|dth of the type |n the wordmark}.
Minimum size
For legibiliy and readability the logo should not be dis-
p|ayed on screen sma||er than 16px ta|| (pr|nted equ|va-
lent is 16 points).

Primary logo usage
When applied to any asset the primary logo must appear
on top of e|ther a pure wh|te background or a back-
ground co|ored w|th the des|gnated cream from the
offc|a| co|or pa|ette.
In any situation that requires a non-white background,
p|ease refer to the secondary |ogo treatments |n the next
section. These provide a reversed monochromatic color
scheme for versat|||ty.

Secondary logo treatments
The secondary logo treatments should be used when the
logo must be placed on a non-white or cream background.
Beyond the designated secondary logo treatments the logo
shou|d not appear on top of any other co|or.
The background co|ors come from each co|or used |n the
primary logo symbol. The symbol is reversed out to pure
white and the wordmark color uses the lightest designated
t|nt of the correspond|ng background co|or.

Incorrect logo usage
Consistency in our identity system will make things like brand
recognition and communication alot easier to accomplish.
This page illustrates common errors in logo usage.
To make it easy just use the provided logo artwork and be
carefu| not to make any changes or a|terat|ons |n usage.
Dont substitute fonts
Dont alter the logo mark
Dont apply gradients
Dont apply the primary logo to a color other
than white or designated cream
Dont apply the secondary logos to

or patterns that inhibit legibility
Dont outline the logo type
Dont alter the proportions
Dont apply drop shadows
Dont warp the signature
Dont use undesignated colors

Strobe color palette
The co|or pa|ette conta|ns 9 hues w|th correspond|ng t|nts for
fex|b||ty and accom|dat|on of asset needs. The co|ors repre-
sent the pr|mary co|ors of the ||ght spectrum, when comb|ned
produce pure white light.
The co|or des|gnat|ons |nc|ude hexadec|ma|, rgb, and cmyk
equ|va|ents. Pantone va|ues are g|ven for the 9 hues. When
reproduc|ng co|ors p|ease refer to the des|gnated va|ues.
Don`t try to match from th|s document, as spec|fc render|ngs
may not provide true color.
