Words can work wonders or words can work blunders. They can bring strength or weakness, sickness or health, discouragement or courage.
1. YOU CAN HAVE WHATEVER YOU SAY. (Mark 11:23.)

Every day of your life you are saying what God says or what the devil says. The Lord says, "I am the Lord that healeth thee." The devil says, "I know He can." The Lord says, "By His stripes you are healed." The devil says, "He is able." The Lord says, "I deliver you" (Ps. 34.:19). The devil says, "He has promised. "
2. JESUS IS THE HIGH PRIEST OF OllR PROFESSION
(Heb. 3:1.)

This is the same as confession., What I profess I possess. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father now. If I say, "I can do aU things through Christ," Jesus says, "Father, he can do all things through me" (Phil. 4 :13). If I say, "My God supplies all my need," Jesus says, "Father, you supply all his need". (Phil. 4:19). If I say, "I can't get it, " Jesus says, "Father, he can't get it."
3. WORDS CAN BRING YOU HEALTH OR SICKNESS. (Prov. 12:18; John 5:14.)

If you say what God says, you say, "My health shall spring forth speedily" (Isa. 58:5). You will say, "The Lord will restore health unto me" (Jer. 30:17). You may say, "God wishes above all things that I prosper and be in health." "The Lord is the strength of my life" (III John 2; Ps. 27:1).
4. WE OVERCOME BY THE WORDS OF OUR TESTIMONY. (Rev. 12:11.)

You overcome by saying, "I sl.all recover." You are defeated by saying, "I am getting worse." You overcome by saying, "He gives me long life" (Ps. 91) 1

You overcome by saying, me." (Ps. 103:3.)

9. YOUI TONGUE CAN DEFILE YOUR WHOLE BODY. (J...... 3:6.)

5. BY YOUR WORDS YOU ARE JUSTIFIEDOR CONDENMED. (Matt. 12:37.)

. .Yo~ . OV~!'come by saying, "He forgiveth all my iniquities. You are condemned by saying "I am failing God every day." 0' You overcome by saying, " No plague shall come near my dwelling." You are condemned by saying "I don't feel like I am safe." 0' You overcome by saying, "He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world." (I Johu 4:4.) You are condemned by saying, "I lost the victory;"
6. YOU CAN CONDEMN YOURSELF BY WORDS.

Or it can bring health. (Prov. 4 :22 j 12 :18.) Talk faith and you will be strong. Talk weakness and you will be weak. Talk faith and you will believe. (Mark 11 :23.) Talk defeat and you will lose. Talk success and you will prosper. (Ps. 1 :3.) Talk poverty and you'll be in need.
10. YOU CAN BE SNARED BY YOUR WORDS. (Provo 6:2.)

When you condemn yourself, you are not happy. (Rom. 14:22.} If you delight. yourself in the Lord, you receive your heart's desire. (Ps. 37 :4.) If you are not under condemnation you have faith. (I John 3 :21.) ,
7. YOU CAN A~~EE OR DI.SAGREE WORDS. (Matt. 18.19.) BY

You can say, "I am bound," or you can say, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." You can say, "I got a touch, but I did not get my healing," or you can say, "As many as He touched were made whole." (Mark 6 :56. ) You can say, "I have sought it, but I can't get it," or you call say, "Everyone that asketh receiveth." (Luke 11 :10.) 11. YOU CAN KINDLE A BIG FIRE BY ONE WORD.
(J.mes 3:5.)

If.l say, There It is," and you say "Keep praymg," you are not agreeing. ' If I say, "Y ou shall recover" and you say "I can't get t, " you are di it , . lsagreeing . . If I say, ',',It shall be" done," and you say, "I did not get it, you are dIsagreeing I. WE CAN EXTOL THE NAME OF THE lORD BY WORDS.
(Ps. 30:1.)

You can say something in 10 seconds that you can't fix up in 10 years. You can fail to forgive yourself after God has already forgiven you. You can accuse yourself because Satan accuses you.
12. HE THAT IS OF GOD SPEAKETH GOD'S WORDS. (John 3:4.)

Or we can extol Satan.

We can e~,tol God by saying, conquerors.. We extol Satan can't make It." We extol the Lord by saying, tha t overcomes the world, even 5:~.) You extol Satan by saying faith." . We ~xtol the Lord by saying, impossiblo. " (Ma tt. 17 :20.) "We are more than by saying "I just , "This is the victor Our faith." (I J oh~ "I don't have th , e "N othing shall be

God's word says, "You shall not want." (Ps. 23:1). Satan says, "What will you wear tomorrowT" God says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Satan says, "The Lord has lost your number. God says, "To have friends you must show yourself friendly." Satan says that you are not appreciated. 13. GOD SAYS WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE
UNTO SALVATION. (Rom. 10:10.)

Salvation includes both soul and body and everything provided in the atonement. I

Salvation includes deliverance from poverty. Salvation brings prosperity and success. Salvation includes divine healing and divine health. (Ex. 15 :26.)
14. GOD SAYS FOR HIS PRAISE TO BE CONTINUALLY IN
YOUR MOUTH. (Ps. 34: 1.)

18. WE ARE COMMANDED TO SPEAK AS THE ORACLES OF GOD. (I Peter 4: 11.)

you are praising the wrong person. If you say, "The devil has been after me all day," you are praising the devil. If you say, "I always triumph in Christ," you are praising the Lord. (II Cor. 2 :14.)
15. YOU CAN MAGNIFY THE LORD OR MAGNIFY SATAN
BY WORDS. (Ps. 69:30.)

If you say, "I am discouraged,"

If we speak as God's oracles, we will say, "His ears arc open t 0 my cry. " ." If we speak as the oracles of God, we WIll say, I shall be saved and my house." (Acts 16:31.) You will win your husband to God. (l Peter 3 :1.) . If you speak as the oracles of Satan', you WIll say, "I pray for my famliy, but it does not do any good."
19. THE HOLY GHOST WILL GIVE US IN THE SAME HOUR WHAT TO SAY. (Luke 12:12.)

If you say, "The Lord is the strength of my life," you magnify the Lord. (Ps. 27 :1.) If you say, "As my days are, so shall my strength be," you magnify the Lord. (Deut. 33 :25.) If you praise the Lord with a loud voice, you magnify the Lord. (Acts 10 :46.)
16. GOD SAID FOR YOU NOT TO LET ANY CORRUPT COMMUNICA ~ION COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. (Eph. 4:29.)

The Holy Ghost will cause us to n:ake confession unto healing, happiness, and health instead of unto sickness, sin and sorrow. . The Holy Ghost will make. a confessIOn un.to plenty, prosperity ~nd pow~r instead of unto discou.rao-ement despair and disease. Th:Holy Ghost will make y~u sa?:, "Pick up your bed and walk," instead of saymg, You had better go to the hospital."

20. 'THE LORb SAYS FOR HIS WORD TO DWELL IN YOU RICHLY. (Col. 3:16.) . .

You are corrupt if you say, "I have to sin every day." (1 John 3:8.) You are corrupt if you say, "I have to be sick every day." (Isa. 33 :24.) You arc corrupt if you say, "God is withholding something from me." (Ps. 84 :11.)
17. IF GOD'S WORD ABIDES IN US, WE GET THE ANSWER TO ALL OUR PRAYERS.(John 15:7.)

If His Word dwells in you richly, you WIll encourage people and not discour.age them. . If His Word dwells in you richly, you WIll speak a word in due season. (Isa. 50 :4.) If" His Word dwells in you, find a man at the forks of the road and point him home.
21. DEATH AND LIFE LIE IN THE POWER OF WORDS. (Prov. 18:2.)

If God's Word abides in us, we will say, ".He will take away all sickness from me. " If the devil's word

abides in us, we will say, "Sickness may be God's will." (Ex. 24 :25.) If God's Word abides in us, we will say, "He is a present help in time of need." If the devil's word abides in us, we will say, "God is so far away. He does not hear."

The Word saves (James 1 :2.), sanctifies (John 17 :17), imparts the Holy Ghost (John 20:22), ~elivers from devils (Matt. 8 :16), and heals all dISeases (Ps. 107 :20). The Word brought man into existence .(John 1 :1-3), will destroy man (Rev. 19:21), and WIll resurrect man (John 5 :25). .' Words created the world and ever~hmg tberem. Words will speak them out of eXIstence. (Rev 5

19 :15,18.) Hi~ Word will not return void. It is forever settled In heaven. It runs very swiftly. (Ps, 119 :89; Isa. 55:11; Ps. 147 :15.) Teach your 'mouth to say what God says. Your mouth is the door to your soul.
ALL PEOPLEIN THE GRAVE WILL LIVE AGAIN WHEN THEY HEAR HIS WORD. (John 5:25)

Lazrus heard the spoken word and lived after he had been dead four days. (John 11 :43) The son of the widow of Nain heard the spoken word and came out of his casket as he was on his way to the graveyard. (Luke 7 :15) Jarius' daughter heard the spoken word and came back from the dead. (Matt. 9:25) Dorcas heard Peter's word and rose from the dead. Many dead people in our day have come back to life when the word was spoken. No word of God is void of power. (Isaiah 55 :11) He that is of God speaks the words of God (John 3:34) .

mouth shut than It does to give a man a whipping. Jesus knew when not to say anything at all. (Matt. 15 :23) Keep silent unless you can say what God says. (Exodus 15 :26) The reason most people tell their aches is because they have a spirit of self-pity and they want sympathy. Confess sickness and you will be sick. Confess strength and you will be strong. There is nothing so good or so bad, but talking about it makes it more so.
IF WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER OUR SPIRITS, WE ARE LIKE A CITY WITH THE WALLS BROKEN DOWN-THE ENEMY CAN COME IN. (Prov. 25:28)

Jesus said He had more faith than any of God's people because he saw this great truth. The servant was healed when the word was spoken. God wants people today to speak the word only many times and the disease will obey. ' The nobleman'S son was healed when Jesus spoke the word, and he was about fifteen miles away. (John 4 :50) A deaf mute heard and talked the other night as I spoke the word and commanded the deaf spirit to come out. About two hundred sinners were delivered from their sin as I spoke the word through t~e anointing of the Holy Ghost. The powers of sm were broken through the spoken word.
THE INHABITANTS SHALL NOT SAY, I AM SICK. (lsa. 33:24)

If you have prayed for, and receive your healing, then go and sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you. (Tohn 5 :14) Keep control of your own spirit. Don't let your tongue cause your soul to sin. A f'ter the infi I'm spirit leaves, and you blow your top, that breaks down the wall so that the infirm spirit call return. You will be worse than ever. (Matt. 12;44) After you receive your healing, and then blow your top, the walls are broken down so that the disease can return. When you blow a fuse and fly to pieces, the walls of resistance crumble. You nrR hack in the same condition as you were before, and even worse. If you say, "I shall recover, " you arc taking control of your own spirit and making yourself say what God says. (Mark 16:17) If you say, "I don't know why I can't get my healing," you have no control over your own spi.ri t. You let your tongue go as a runaway horse gets away and turns over the cart full of precious fruit. (James 3:3)
OUR TONGUE IS AS A PEN OF A WRITER.(Ps. 45: 11)

You don't have to say that you are not sick until you can prove it. (I Thes. 5 :21) It takes more power 6

I know He has promised but He just won't do it. ,., Some would write a book like this: "I have faith, but I can't get my healing." Or, "I have sought God but I can't get it at all." Or: "I have obeyed the Lord, but I didn't get the Holy Ghost." 'YQUmust have the wrong spirit. The Bible, written by Gods Spirit, reads like this: "EverYQne that asketh receiveth; he that believeth hath; He gives the Holy Ghost to them that obey Him." Acts 5 :32) He healed all that came to Him. That is the gospel according to St. Matthew. What is the gospel according to YQU'

cost. (Acts 6 :1) .' Yours can be like feathers let loose III the wind, They can never be gathered back again. Words can make one commit suicide or cause him to be saved. Your words can bind up the broken heart, or crush all hopes out of a weary soul. The Holy Spirit can give you the words to say. (John 16 :13)
LET EVERY MAN BE SLOW TO SPEAK AND QUICK TO HEAR. (J.mes 1: 19)

When you talk out of both sides of your mouth, yQU cause the ship to go one way awhile, and then yQUchange its course before it gets to the destination. He that wavereth is like the wave of the sea. The vessel is tossed to and fro. It almost gets to the other side and suddenly a wave takes it in the opposite direction. It goes all over the sea and never gets to where it is going. If yQU say, "By His stripes I am healed," and also say, "It may be His will to take me," yQU waver. YQU shall not receive anything of the Lord. (James 1 :7) HQWcan it be His will for yQU to live and be His will for yQU to die at the same time' Stick to ,one thing. Say: "With long life He will satisfy me, He will deliver. me out of all my trouble." (Ps. 91 :15-16)
GOD SAYS YOUR MOUTH CAN WORK RUIN.

You have two ears and one mouth. That means you should listen twice as much .as ~ou talk. I! y:our speech is seasoned with salt, which 1Sthe. anointing, people soon learn to respect. you as a ~se man. A wise man LS known by hIS conversation. (Prov. 10 :14) A fool is known by his multitude of words. If you listen you will know what you know, plus what the othdr fellow knows. You don't have a good enough memory to remember all you say. If you talk all the itme you are sure to cross yourself down the line somewhere.
IT IS WHAT COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH THAT DEFILES YOU. (Matt. 15:11)

Many people testify that they hl;lve not chewed tobacco in fifteen years, but they still chew the rag each morning with their wife . Many people testify that they have long hall', long sleeves and a long dress. All that is necessary. But they have a long tongue which divides the church. This tongue is a sword which pierces people's hearts and wounds their soul. A critical tongue stops more revivals than the adulterers and drunkards. There arc two classes of people. One class tries to do something. The other class says, "It should have been done like this."
THE MOUTH OF THE RIGHTEOUS SINNER. (Ps. 37:10) CAN DELIVER THE

nfany years, "Your sins are forgiven." Actually he was set free from sins. That cannot happen without the anointing of the Holy Ghost, saying these words through us. (John 20 :23) It is God speaking through His people. (Luke 7 :47; John 14 :12) Last night I spoke the word and a hundred and forty-seven people were healed, without hands being laid on them. Many deaf cars, blind eyes, stiff joints were .instantly healed here in Chattanooga, Tenn., at the time of this writing. No man can heal. No man can deliver from sin. But the anointing can do both. One is as easily done as the other. (Mark 2:9) If we are guided by the Spirit what to say at home, we will know when to say, "Rise. and walk," after we get to church. (Luke 16 :20)
WORDS CAN OPEN THE DOOR FOR AN INSANITY SPIRIT TO POSSESS A MAN. (Daniel 4:21)

If God says by His stripes you are healed and you say, "I hope He heals me sometime,' the word is not established in your life. If God says, "Little children these things I say unto thee that you sin , . not," and you say "Everybody sins every d" ay, you remain a sinner. You are not established. The word of the devil is established in your soul, If you say these things. At the judgment your life must measure up to the word of God, or you will be turned away. You will be judged by the sixty-six books of the Bible. (Rev. 20:12)
GOD WILL GIVE US A MOUTH WHICH WE CAN USE TO SAVE US FROM THE GREAT TRIBULATION. (Luke 21:15)

Before you speak, then you arc tempted. After the word is spoken, you are sinning. If you have no rule over your spirit, you are like a city with the walls broken down. The enemy can come in. Thousands of people have lost their salvation by giving it up with one statement. They say, "I guess I was never saved, I'm not going to try." You surrender your salvation just as you can surrender an inheritance by saying, "Keep it, it does not belong to me." Thousands of people have lost their healing by saying, "I guess God wants me to be sick to keep me humble." You can give up a hundred thousand dollar insurance policy with one statement. You can witness on the witness stand and make one statement and lose the whole case.
IN THE MOUTH OF TW(, OR THREE WITNESSES WE ESTABLISH THE WORD. (MIl". '18:16)

We must begin now, if we want to know how to use this mouth then. (Luke 16 :10) It will not be us that speaks at that time, but it will be the Holy Ghost that speaks through us. (Mark 13:11) Daniel had wisdom to know what to say. This kept him from being killed. (Dan. 2 :16) If we have this mouth and wisdom to use it, there will not a hair of our head perish when others are being killed all around us. (Luke 21 :16-18) Just as Jesus spoke the words of wisdom and was delivered from the traps of the Pharisees, so can we. (John 14:12)
THERE IS A TIME TO KEEP SILENT AND A TIME TO SPEAK. (Eccl. 3:7)

If the Lord says, "I am the Lord that healeth thee," and you say, "I know He is able " the word is not established in n".,_ life. '

It is good to know when to talk and when to refrain from talking. Many salesmen have sold their products and then unsold them as they continued to talk. Many preachers have the people all ready for deliverance or salvation. As they continue to talk, they lose the congregation. He loses the converts, and he loses the respect of the people. You have a soul almost won. As you keep talking about everything, he becomes as a big fish that gets

off the hook as you barely get him to the top of the water. You can understand why your neighbors and even your husband are not won by your conversation.
A WORD FIllY SPOKEN IS LIKE APPLESOF GOLD. (Prov. 25: 11)

Apples of gold are of great value. Words spoken out of season, or with the wrong spirit are like apples eaten up with worms. They are like rotten apples that you can smell at a distance. You can say to a dog in a harsh voice, "Come on and get this piece of bread." He will run the other way. One man preached. The people said, "That's a great man. The second preacher preached, and the people said, "That's a wonderful sermon." The third preacher preached, and the people said, "Isn't Jesus wonderful T" Two men preached ori the same text: The wicked shall be turned into hell. The first one was glad of it. The last one was sorry of it. He won the people to-God.
THE WORD MUST NOT DEPART OUT OF THY MOUTH. (Joshua 1:8)

His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus." "He that believeth hath." If Jesus had to say, "It is written" to overcome, I am sure you are no better than Jesus. He set us the example that we should follow His steps. Don't talk out of both sides of your mouth. Don't let your policy change every time the moon changes.
HIS PRAISE MUST CONTINUALLY BE IN YOUR MOUTH. (Ps. 34:1)

If there is some other time besides day or night, then you can fuss or fume or fret. About the only thing in the home worse than a television is a telephone. I have heard more faith-killing talk on the telephone than I have on the television. The only thing worse than a gossiper, is someone who will listen to it. If there was no wood, the fire would go out, and where there is no tale-bearing, the strife ceases. (Prov. 26 :20) We must bless the Lord at all times with the fruit of our lips. (Heb. 13 :15)
GET A COAL OF FIRE ON YOUR LIPS. (Isa. 6:7)

God has promised to prosper you and make you successful in all that you do, if you will do what He says. He says all that you do shall prosper. ~f a businessman says one day, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthenth me," then the next day he says "I may as well sell out, for I will lose everything that I have invested," he will not have success. If one day you say what God says, and the ne:ct day, you are telling people the words of the devil, and the words of the doctor, and the words of the deacon, you will not have good success. Don't let the words of God depart out of your mouth. Say, "My God shall supply all of my needs according to 12

Then you will get out of the church with the unclean lips and say, Here am I, send me. You will stop telling all the dirty jokes and filthy tales that you hear. You are what you talk about. Idle words will leave and you will have a praise on your lips instead of saying, "John Brown, I'll swear, or I'll swanee." It is not the unknown tongue that is raising the devil all over the country. It is the tongue you can understand. One man said to another; "That unknown tnogue is of the devil." This man was a drunkard and he answered. "No, it is not the devil. If it were, we would have it, because we have everything else that the devil has."
YOU ARE TO MAKE KNOWN HIS FAITHFULNESS WITH YOUR MOUTH. (Ps. 89: 1)

13

Say what G.od says. The mmute that you contess your sins and forsake them, yQUwill be abundantly pardoned, (Isa. 55 :7) Tell the world that He is faithful and just to forgive your sins. (John 1 :9) TQ say anything else, is to tell them that He is unfaithful.
SAY "THERE IS NOTHING PERSERSE MY WORDS." IN
(Prov. 8:8)

Many preachers will tell a sinner that he will go to heaven because he joined his church. If the man is unsaved, his preacher is leading him into hell. He will take him into the church a sinner. He will baptize him and ask GQd to bless him, when he has a curse on him. Church membership serves as a dQpe and lulls the man's soul asleep. This wears off conviction. The man dies believing a lie. He that believeth a lie shall be damned.
HE WILL MAKE YOUR MOUTH LIKE A SHARP SWOID.
(I... 49:2)

It runs very swiftly. I spoke the, word of GQd tQ a devil-possessed man. I told him if he would come into the house out of the dark, kneel down beside his bed and lift his hands up into the air, then GQd would save him, sanctify him,' fill him with the Holy Ghost, deliver him from insanity spirits. He obeyed, and was set free instantly. He is nQWout in evangelistic work. I spoke to him the word of GQd that GQd put in my mouth, Jesus cast out the devils with His word, (Matt. 8 :16) The word of faith which we preach is nigh unto my mouth. (Rom. 10 :8)
BOTH GOOD AND EVIL MUST NOT COME OUT OF YOUR MOUlH. (Lam. 3:38) SPEAK AS THE ORACLES OF GOD.

YQU can use your mouth to slay the devils one day and slay God's people the next day. YQUuse it to bless GQd and curse men. At a spoken word I saw twenty-five hundred people healed at one time, including several blind eyes and deaf ears. At a spoken word I saw a woman get out of a wheel chair after ten long years. At a spoken word the devils left a WQman after peQple prayed fQr her all night lQng tQ be set free. Let yQur m.outh be a sw.ord and use it against .oppressi.on, depressiQn, .obsessiQn and p.ossession instead .of against G.od's wQrk.
IF YOU SPEAK GOD'S WORD, IT SHALL NOT RETURNVOID.
(I 55:11)

One day yQUsing, "Plunge Out' Into the Deep, the next day yQUsing, You A. re Drifting Too Far From the Shore. One day yQU sing, Will There Be Any Stars In My Crown?, and the next day- yQU sing, No Not One. You should sing, I Know My Redeemer Liveth. He will never leave me, He will never forsake me. He is with me alway, even tQ the end of the world. Don't go to the phone and tell anyone, "He w.on't hear my prayer. He will not wQrk." You insult Him and make Him a.Iiar.

TElL THE LORD TO KEEPTHE DOOR OF YOUR LIPSAND SET A WATCH BEFOREYOUR MOUTH. (Psalm 141:3)

One day yQU say, "He gives me long life," and the next day yQU say, "I am buying a lQt for my burial." If you do this, you are not consistent. One day you say, "I am looking for Jesus to come on a cl.oud," and the next day yQUrun t.o the stQrm cellar t.o hide fr.om a cl.oud. YQU are speaking tWQ QPPQsite things a~ .once. ride two horses at one time. You pull yourself apart, Decide what you believe and stick with it. Then, set your goal. Get a faith image and see it come to pass.
WHEN A WORD HAS GONE OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, YOU MUST KEEP IT. (Numbers 32:24)

with his comforting words. He knew how to speak a word in due season. Your words can lead the people to success or suicide.
IF YOU SEPARATE THE PRECIOUS FROM THE VILE, YOU WILL BE AS HIS MOUTH. (Jer. 15:19)

It is better not to make a vow than to make one and then break it. But it is better to make a vow and keep it, than not to make a vow at all. Ananias and Sapphira did not have to give their money to God, 'but when they promised God and then lied, they were killed for lying to God. They were speaking two opposite things at one time. Why would you say that you are looking for the Lord to corne and then fail to put on the wedding garment 1 If you believe what you say, then act like it. If you say He is corning soon, then live like you believe it. Don't say that you are saved and then live like the devil. If you say, "By His stripes I am healed," then act like you are healed. Words without action is not faith. You become condemned by your own 'words. You are confused and confounded, insult God and make Him a liar. That is why you don't get the answers to your prayers.
GOD SAID YOU CAN STRENGTHEN PEOPLE WITH YOUI MOUTH. (Job 16:5)

Would you want to speak in God's stcad t .Ioshua spoke the words of God to the sun, and the sun stood still. Elisha said" There will be no rain but according to my words," and the rain was withheld for 3 and one-half years. The widow said she knew that the word of God dwelt in Elijah's God, when she saw that her son was raised from the dead. We are men of like passion as Elijah. (James 5 :17) Elisha spoke the words of God to the iron and the iron swam. Jesus spoke the words of God to thousands of tons of water and the water laid down and went to sleep. The tempest ceased .Jesus sf:>okethe words of God to a fig tree, and the fig tree died. You can be God's mouth. You can speak as the oracles of God.
LET EVERY MAN (Eph. 5:25) SPEAK THE TRUTH TO HIS NEIGHBOR. ., .

You can give everyone you meet courage, or you can discourage them. Barnabas was the son of consolation. (Acts 4 :36) While Peter, was healing their body by the spirit of God, Barnabas was healing their broken hearts and wounded spirits with his anointed words. The anointing not only delivers the captives, but it 'binds up the broken hearts and sets at liberty them that are bruised. Paul had the ministry of reconciliation. (II Cor. 5 :18) He could see a lost, discouraged person at the forks of the road anti point him the way home

Everything that is not the truth IS a he. All liars shall have their part in the lake .." All. liars' '. me~ns those who tell Christian lies, joking lies, white lies, and red lies. If you say, "I bet you ", .yoo have to gamble or tell a lie. If you tell your ~hlldren ab?ut an old man that's coming down the chimney to brmg them some candy, they will find out that .you are. a liar and then when you tell them there IS a devil, they won't believe that. They will say, "Well, you told me there was a Santa Claus, and I learned that it was Daddy. You told me there was a devil,. and .1 learned it was nothing bu.t Mother.". Th~y believe If you will lie about one thmg, you Will he about another. If you 8ay that you missed church because you had a headache, and go to your job with a headache

you are a liar. You put yourself under condemnation. That is why your prayers are not answered. (I .Iohn 3:20)
GOD IS WEARY OF HEARING YOU TALK ALL THE TIME. (M.I. 2:17)

You say, "I know an old lady in a wheel chair who has all sorts of faith, but she cannot receive her healing." God says if she has faith, she will receive her healing. (Mark 11:24) You should teach your mouth to say what God says. You should be sure that your mind is turning before you throw your tongue in gear. You say, "I know a good man who obeys God, and he does not have the Holy Ghost." God says that He gives the Holy Ghost to them that obey Him. (Acts 5 :32) If you make God a liar, He will not work for you.
YOU MUST GIVE AN ACCOUNT OF EVERY IDLE WORD. (IMtt. 12:36)

spise it. You tell your neighbor that you want him to come back to see you again, when you never want him to return. You say, "I really enjoyed my visit," when you really endured it. You tell someone that they have a pretty dress, but you wouldn't wear it at all. If you don't speak the truth from your heart, you will miss heaven. (Ps. 15 :2) If you can't tell the truth, don't say anything. A woman asked the preacher, "Don't you think I have the prettiest baby that ever lived I " The preacher looked at it, and said, "There is not another one in the world like it."
THE ONLY ONES WHO WILL REACH HEAVEN, ARE THE ONES WHO SPEAK THE TRUTH. (PI. 15:2)

An idle word is the devil's workshop. If you call the name of the Lord in vain, you 'will be guilty at the day of judgement. (Exodus 20:7 ) .Just because God says for us not to speak His name in idle conversatiou, just to spite the Lord, some people will say "My Lord!" Others will say, "Jesus Christ", or "the Great I Am", or they will say "Good God". I have heard them say "By golly". No wonder people are under condemnation when they go to church. No wonder people don't have faith. Condemnation has destroyed their Faith. (I John 3 :20)
GOD HATES A LYING TONGUE. (Prov. 6:17)

Isaiah told Hezekiah that he was going to die. (Is. 38 :1) This prophet of God told the truth. This truth led to a great healing. Hezekiah's life was lengthened fifteen years. (Is. 38:5) Some spineless preachers will say, "You will be home in few days," when thye know the patient is going to die. He lets the man go off under dope and die unsaved. Many doctors and nurses will tell a sinner man he will be all right in a few days when they know he will die under dope without God. If you tell your husband that he is going to be O.K. when you know he won't live, then you deceive him. You are a liar. No one that loveth or maketh a lie will enter heaven. (Rev. 22 :15) A lie will put you under condemnation and will hinder your prayers.
YOU CAN'T TALK VERY LONG WITHOUT SINNING. (Prov. 10:19)

You tell the preacher, "I really enjoyed that message." But you tell others that you don't. care for that preacher. You tell the singer you really liked the Bong, but in your heart, you don't care for the song or the singer. You tell the man you like the music when you de18

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin. H you tell yoU[ children that you are going to whip them, and don't do it, you have lied and they won't believe anything else that you tell them. If you tell

You dont train the baby, because it won't believe you. A freight train that is always puffing off steam has no power to pull the load up the grade. You must give all account at the judgement for every idle word. (Matt. ]2:36)
YOU DECEIVE YOUR OWN HEART WHEN YOU DO NOT BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE. YOUR RELIGION IS VAIN. (James 1:26)

YOUR TONGUE WILL HELP YOU TO LOVE GOD, TO LIVE AND TO SEE GOOD DAYS. (I Peter 3:10)

If you say one day, "I am saved," and say the next day, "th(' Lord won't heal' me", you deceive your own heart. . If you say 011(' day, "I shall recover", and the next day you say, "I don 't know why I can't get my healing;" your prayer is vain. If you say 011(' day, "Ev(')'yone that asketh receivcth ", and tho next day you say, "I have been seeking the Lord ten years and just can't get it",' you have vain roligiou. .' When you bridle your tongue', you teach yourself to say what God says. H(' says, "Ill the day that you sock Him with all your heart, He shall be found." (Jcr. 29:13) Say anything else, and you have vain religion and your prayers arc vain. When the Pharisees pray, they have vain repetition, Jesus says.
YOUR TONGUE IS THE HELM THAT TURNS THIE WHOLE SHIP. (James 3:4)

Refrain your tongue from evil. Don't say, "I ha:v<, to sin every day." Don't say, "I have lost the VICtory." Don't say "I'm always a failure." Don't let your mouth speak guile. DOIl't say, "I can't get my healinc.' Don't say, "I'm getting worse every b . day." Don't say, "I'llnovcr he better agalll.. "T (lac h your mouth to say what God Hays, and you will have what God says. You will fall into ruin and fail, if you speak against the Lord. (Isa. ;~:8) You say opposite to what tl~e Lord Hays! you speak against the Lord. You will say OPPOSlt(' to what He says if you say, "I can't obey the Lord. I have to sin all the time. I can't get tho I Loly Ghost."
FROM THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART YOUR 1\ .OUTH SPEAKS.

If the word of God is in your heart you will say, "I shall recover. My God shall supply all my needs. I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me." If your heart is full of doubt you W111 say, "I just can't trust th? Lord, I have been secking but I just can't get It, and I want the 1 r oly Ghost if it is God's will." You can hear a man talk and know whether or not his hea rt is full of faith or full of unbelief.
DEATH AND LIFE IS IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE. (Prov. 18:21)

If you say, "I shall recover", you go contrary to the wi lids, You land safely in the harbor. If you say, "By His stripes I am healed ", you miss the rocks of destruction and carry the precious ship full of cargo to its destination. If you say, "I am so sick, I am getting worse every day, and I just can't get it, I don't know why the Lord has let me down." Then you yield to the winds of adversity and wreck your ship full of the

You will receive death if you say, "I am failing God every day. Everyone sins all the time, It is God's will for me to be sick." You receive life if you will say, "God forgives all of our iniquities and heals all of our diseases." Say "He forgives us and heas us." Say, "God COID-

am through. Things didn't work out for me. I'll never try to preach again." She is like a man who tried to chase two rabbits at the Ramo time. He didn't catch oi thor one of them.
GOD COMMANDS YOU TO GIVE THANKS IN EVERYTHING.
(I Thes. 5:16)

If you want to bo ruined, then flatter yourself with words, You flatter yourself when you say, "Maybt' I have a thorn in the flesh." And you flatter yourself when you Ray, "I am suffering to bring lily loved ones to God." You are flattering yourself when you say, "This sickness is a blessing." Your words have much to do with your recovering or your staying Hick. TNICh your mouth to speak the words of God mid you wi 11 sec the words of God come to pass in your life.
IF YOU DON'T OFFEND IN WORD, YOU ARE THE SAME AS A PERFECT MAN AND YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR WHOLE BODY. (James 3:2)

You meet a man. He' says, "Good morning." Tben, the next breath he says, "Tit if; is really a sloppy day." He offers thanks at the ta blo and says "Lord I thank you for these wonderful !Jl(\ssillg~." Th~ next breath he says, "Well, wo don't have much to eat today." . How can he give thanks and grumble at the same timet O~t of the same mouth proceedcth blessing ~~ cursmgs. WE LIVE BY T+4EWORDS THAT COME FROM THE MOUTH Of GOD. (Matt. 4:4)

Your whole body is affected by your conversation. If God says 1 am t he Lord that healeth you, and y(IU say, "I believe He is ublo to do it if He takes a llOtion," you offend Him by making Him out a liar. H(' won't work where you make Him a liar. (}i~xo. 15 :2G) If God says you arc healed by His stripes and you say, "1 believe H(' will heal me sometime," you offend Him by changing His word from present tense to futu ro tense. You are losing control of your tongue, therefore you are losing control of your body. Because the tongue controls the whole body. That. is the way that you endanger your health.
MY MOUTH WILL SPEAK THE TRUTH. (Prov. 8:7)

One day you say, "I can do all thines through Christ who strengthcneth me." The no;t day you say, "I want you to tell me why I can't get the answer to my prayers." You just finished telling me. You said, "I can't." One day you said, "He will never leave me nor forsake me." The next day you are Haying, "God has lost rnv number. He has let me down. lIe has forgotten about mo. He does not hear my prayer anymore."
IF YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH, YOU KEEP YOUR LIFE. (Prov. 13:3)

I know a lady who said, "I am called to preach", day and the next day she would say, "Do you think I am called l " For a few months she would tell everybody she was going to hold revivals, then she would say, "I

the next week he says, "The services surely were dry." He relies on feelings instead of God's word.
KEEPYOUR MOUTH AND YOU WILL KEEPYOURSELFFROM TROUBLE.(Prov. 21 :23)

Don't let your tongue speak against His word. One lady says everything works together for g?od, one day, and the next day she says" All these things arc against me." . One time you see her, she says God IS able to ma~e all grace abound toward me that I will always III all sufficiency abound to every good work." .Then the next. time you see bel', she says, "I am afraid my husband is stepping out on me. He is acting very suspicious lately.
YOUR MOUTH SPEAKS WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART. (Matt: 12:34)

I am paying tithes."

One week you say, "God will bless me because The next week you say, "I don't know whether it pays to give God your tithes or not. I don't sec that I am getting along so well. I don't think I will pay them." You are inconsistent. You are like a farmer who plants the seed and then scratches the seed up verv day to see if it is going to do any good or not.

YOU ARE TO KEEPYOUR MOUTH WITH A BRIDLE.(Ps. 39:1)

One man says, "I will trust in the Lord at all times aIHI I will not be afraid." Then he says, "I am afraid I am going to lose my wife. I believe she is going- to fall ill love with this other man." One (lay he says, "My God sha 11supply all of my needs," and the next day ho says, "I am afraid I will lose my job and I don 'I know how my family is going to live."
TELL GOD TO LET YOUR TONGUE CLEAVE TO THE ROOF OF YOUR MOUTH IF YOU DON'T SPEAK WHAT HE SAYS. (Psalm 137:6)

If you say, "God has forgiven all my sins. I am a child of God." And then tomorrow say, "Everyhody sins all the time," you arc Raying two opposite things at the same time. You aro pulled apart because your theology has clashed. You arc not sure you arc saved. Then if you are not sure you are saved, you arc not saved. Make up your mind whether 01' not you arc saved from sin. If you sin, then you are a sinner. Be sure your sins will find you out. He sure of a certain truth, and then affirm it with your mouth. Practice, declare it, that is the only way you can keep it. Be ?el'tain about things; especially your soul's salva-

YOUR LIPSCAN SNARE YOUR SOUL. (Prov. 18:7)

A man said, "We had a great service tonight. We have a wonderful church. The next week he is not there. He says, "I am not appreciated over there. I believe I will stay at home and see how they can get. along' without me." He is a doubleminded man. He has a double tongue. He is twofaced, he is unstable in all his ways. One week he says, "We really have a wonderful service." And 24

You say, "I am a sinner, saved by grace." Now, get it straight. You are either a sinner, 01' you are saved by grace. You can't be both a sinner and a Christian at the same time. Make up your mind whether or not you arc a sinner. You ask God to forgive you, then after He forgives you, you don't forgive yourself. If God does not condemn you, why do you condemn yourself? No wonder you don't have any faith. (I John 3:20)

26

When the devil accuses you, then why do you agree with him and accuse yourself'! He is the accuser of the brethren and the sisters.
YOUR MOUTH MUST BE FILLED WITH HONOR ALL DAY. CPs. 71 :8)

You say that you nrc saved and in God's will. 'I'ho noxt day you say, "I am failing God all the time." One day you agT('(' with the Lord, the next day you agree with tho devil. Paul said, "1 have fought a good fight." l~~lloch said that be pleased God. (Hob. 11 :5) .Iolin said that he kept God's commandmcnts and pleased Him. You My everyone fails the Lord all the time and 110 one can live right. You are making Paul, 1~~lIoch,.Iohn and .T(,RUS a liar. (J'ohn 8:29; 14:12; 1 'I'iui, 4:7) No wonder you don't got your prayers aIl8W('r('(1. You dishonor tho Lord. How can you g-d xi nnr-rs saved hy tol liug them all people have to sill all th time '?
GOD SAID THAT YOU CAN SIN WITH YOUR TONGUE.
(Ps. 39:1)

. You can't win him by nagging at him and fuming. He will know that you have no more than he has. You may win yo~r children or drive thorn away by. your conversation. The reason many children quit Sunday Schoo] at fifteen, is because they hear all the faults of the pastor, Sunday School teacher, ar.ound the breakfast table at home. They have fried pastor for breakfast, baked deacon for lunch and stewed teacher for dinner. I~ the soldier boy ~ells the secrets of the army during the war, he will never get. where he is 0'0ing. If you tell all the faults of the church, y;ur defeat is sure.
GOD SAID THAT WE COULD GO THE WAY OF BALAAM. (Jude 11)

Today if yon sny, "God has forgiven my sins," and Iomorrow yon say, "I don't feel like I am sa \'N1," you n 1'(' su rreudoring to the devil what you hnvc accepted from the Lord. If you say today, "1 believe 1 11m saved because 1 feel good," and tomorrow say, "1 must not be saved," because you don 'I f('('l liko it, yon are giving up your salvation as a mall would surrcudor a title to a home, You overcome by the words of your toatimony and by tho blood of tho Lamb. (Rev. 12)
GRACIOUS WORDS PROCEEDEDOUT OF JESUS' MOUTH.
(Luke 4:22)

He set us an example that we should follow His steps. (I Peter ~L~4; John 14:1~) If you speak gracious word!'; and speak [IS the oracles of God, you may will your husband to God by your conversation.

Balaam said the word that God puts in my mouth what shall I speak." (N urn. 22 :38) , God put a blessing in the mouth of Balaam for the people at the same time he was telling the king how to curse them. Balaam died before his time because he spoke oth a blessing and a CUT"l';e ith tho same mouth. w If one day you say, "Himself took our infirmities and bare our sickness," a nd the next day you are saying, "Maybe it's God's will to take me " vou are speaking a blessing and a curse both' at "the same time. Some preachers say to their suffering members "It i~ the will of God to heal you." The next day he WIll say, "Bow submissive to the will of God and be willing to go on out and die. The Lord has a purpose in this sickness." He will be destroyed as Balaam for speaking both a blessing and a curse to his people.

If you're going two ways at one time', you tear yourself apart.
GOD WILL KEEP US FROM THE STRIFE OF THE TONGUE.

YOUR LIPS CAN SWALLOW AND DEVOUR YOURSELF.

God will not let those people who arc discouraged go to war, because they might discourage the hourts of the brethren. Everything you say registers positive or nesrative on somoonc's faith. Every word you sp;ak either encourages or discourages someone. . One day Sister A - - says, "I have my bealing God has touched 111e.I will be up in a few days." The next day she calls on the telephone and says, "Do you think I am going to live 1 I would like for you to take care of my children after I'm gone." One day she says, "J am going to live to declare the works of God." The next day she says, "I had rather go on to heaven and get out of all this mess." God has answered her prayers, but she refused to let. Him deliver the package.
EVERY TONGUE MUST CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF THE FATHER.

To be deceitful is to act a hypocrite about something. If you say one day, "I am trusting in the Lord," and the next day you say, "Tbe Lord won't answer my prayer," you are deceitful. You are trying to make people think you arc trusting God, when you arc not. If you have a deceitful tongue, that will cancel out anything God wants to do for you. Don't let your tongue usc deceit. Don't say, "The Lord is the Lord that healeth me," and" I don't know why I can't get my healing," both with the samc mouth.
ALL THE LORD NEEDS TO DO TO WIN THE VICTORY OVER HIS ENEMY, IS TO LET HIS ENEMY'S TONGUE BE DIVIDED.
