one who donated time and materials to this project. The stage will be carpeted and stair and railings built on April 21st during the M&M Project. New chandeliers and track lighting were also added. An American flag with a stand was donated for our stage, and a new Christian flag is on its way. Our first Sunday together in the new sanctuary felt like a whole different place. The sound system wasnt put back up yet and Where you see the two white pillars there used to be a wall. On the other side of that wall were three rooms. One was an office, one a makeshift nursery and one for storage. We tore down the walls and took out the drop ceiling. A crew of guys from Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene, as well as a guy from Case Construction owned by Mike Case who attends West Flint Nazarene, and several guys who attend New life, transformed this area. Insulation and dry wall was donated from employees at Menards. Some

New Life News

From the Pastor We have learned to continue to abide in Him. As we go after more and more Jesus, we notice His increased movement in His ministry here. God Continues to show us what will happen when we take our hands off the wheel and He takes control of His ministry. I recently watched The Ten Commandments movie with my son. This year was different than the rest of the times I had watched it. I was able to relate now more than ever to Moses relationship with God, as well as His miraculous provisions.

Is God really a God of miracles? Does He really answer our prayers or does it all happen by chance and the natural order of things? There have been times at New Life that we have prayed for two years for a particular part of the ministry.

Meet The Staff Tanya Cox

My name is Tanya Cox and I am presently one of the teachers for the 6th 8th grade girls Sunday school class, as well as the publicity person for Flint New Life COTN. I can tell you that I am a very blessed and thankful woman. God has made it possible for me to do so many things that I thoroughly love; its amazing. I have been the wife of Tom Cox for almost 17 years. He makes it possible for me to stay home and homeschool our 15 year old Taylor, almost 13 year old Tiffany and almost 9 year old Riley and still time to cheer on our 20 year old college student Kayla-Ann. They are my first and most important ministry. And to make life even sweeter I get to teach at Flint New Life. I absolutely love watching the changes in their lives. Being the publicity person for Flint New Life has given me the opportunity to encourage other churches to be involved in something that I am very passionate about. My life goal is that when I die people will say "She loved well." May we all do our part and watch God move mountains on the mission field He has called us to. Completely His, Tanya Cox

Transitions and Gods Provision

We had been praying for God to provide our needs and this month He has answered those prayers in two big ways. The first was when Kayla Ann Cox came forward to volunteer to be the new teacher for our Club 10:27 class. We are excited to see where God will lead her and this class in the coming months. The second was a group of people who contacted us with the desire to feed us on the second and fourth Sundays of the month starting on Easter Sunday. What a huge blessing this is for those who attend New Life, especially the children who often come to church hungry and ready to eat. We give all the praise to our Lord Jesus Christ who is the provider of all our needs and who just keeps spoiling us over and over in many ways. Thanks be to God.

I am very excited to show my class the love of Jesus as it has been shown to me! Kayla-Ann Cox (Daughter of Tom and Tanya Cox)

M&M Project 2012

You may be wondering; What exactly is the M&M project? Does it involve Chocolate melting in our mouth and not in our hands? Not quite, here is what the M&M project is all about. (The following are excerpts from a letter and promotional poster sent out to the churches by the EMD NMI council.) We are so excited about a new endeavor we are calling the M&M Project, Michigan & Missions! We are so proud of what EMD does for missions around the world through WEF Offerings & Faith Promise. Our district is very involved in missions & every year we get requests for local mission efforts. What are we doing here in Michigan? M&M is a way for our district laypeople to get involved in local mission work. We have teamed NMI and NYI to promote & sponsor missions here on our own district. It is kind of a Work & Witness project without all the expense and travel. This is a joint venture between Eastern Michigan District NMI and NYI The Mission has a new building that is handicap accessible and they are trying to prep it for serving lunches. We will have all kinds of project groups with items for all ages and skill sets; plumbing, carpentry, kitchen duty, sorting clothes, yard work and maybe even gardening. We at New Life are honored and grateful to be included in this endeavor, and for the work that will be done on that day. Thank you M&M Project, EMD NMI and NYI, the 300+ workers who will come on that day, and Thanks to the Lord for his continuing provision of our needs in surprising and unexpected ways.

Stories.We Got em!

Sometimes miracles happen in big things, like cancer healed, but sometimes it happens in little things, like drywall and insulation. It all started with a couple who comes to New Life from Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene and helps us with ministry. They mentioned to their Sunday School class our building project in the sanctuary. A group of men from Williams Lake decided to come and help us with the project. One of those men contacted a local hardware store about the project and the person he spoke with about it offered to pay for a piece of drywall. Word got around the store and other employees on the floor began to offer to buy supplies for us. The store also gave us a significant discount for the drywall and insulation that we bought. Before it was all over an $1,800 project cost us only $800 dollars. It is amazing to watch God move on the hearts of people, and to watch them respond. It is both humbling and a privilege to be the recipient of such generosity and giving. I was told by the wife of Williams Lake Naz.s Pastor that the man who made that call to the hardware store was also deeply moved by witnessing this miracle. Sometimes God moves in what some may consider a small way, but it is awesome just the same.

the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Isaiah 61:1
