Divide Sleeves and Body The sts before the first marker and after the last marker form the top front portion of the dress. The sts between the second and third markers are the back, and the remaining sets of sts form the sleeves. The front sections should have 21[26, 31, 33, 35] sts each, the sleeves should have 56[66, 76, 78, 84] sts each, and the back has 63[73, 82, 86, 92] sts. Remove markers as you work the next round. Round 1: k to first marker, place next 56[68, 78, 80, 86] sts on waste yarn for first sleeve, cast on 4[4, 4, 8, 12] sts for underarm, k to third marker, place all sts to next marker on waste yarn for second sleeve, cast on 4[4, 4, 8, 12] sts for underarm, k to end, cast on 21[21, 20, 20, 22] sts for front neckline, join to work in the the round, k to center of first set of cast on underarm sts, and place marker to indicate the beginning of the round. There should be 134[154, 172, 188, 208] sts. Round 2 until end of bust:Work stockinette st until piece reaches just under the bust. The dress pictured was worked in 36 rows of stockinette. Waist Row 1(RS):k67[77, 86, 94, 104], cast off next 67[77, 86, 94, 104]sts, marking center st, for front of sweater, turn. Row 2(WS):p67[77, 86, 94, 104]. Row 3:k67[77, 86, 94, 104]. Repeat rows 2-3 until back measures about 8(20cm). End on WS row. Join Belt to Sweater Locate the center of the Belt we made earlier, and line it up with the marker on the front of the sweater. Carefully sew the top of the belt to the front of the sweater, keeping the two centers together. Then, sew the side seams of the sweater to where the belt intersects the front and back portions of the sweater. There should be enough of the belt not attached to the sweater to tie comfortably around your back. Round 2: (k1, p1) to marker, k2tog, (p1, k1) to 2sts before marker, p2tog. Round 3: (k1, p1) around. Repeat round 3 7 more times, then cast off ribwise. Finishing Neckline Round 1: pick up an even number of sts around neckline (dress shown was worked over 112 sts). Round 2: (k1, p1) around. Repeat round 2 8 more times, then cast off ribwise. Finishing Weave in all tails, and your dress should be finished and ready to wear!
