u through how students will be supported during their blogging assignment. It will help you identify some of the issues around the student blogging experience. The understanding gained will allow you to formulate an initial strategy to address student engagement. Download and save this template for your own reference. Title and brief description of the unit/module in which student blogs will be used: Title: Description: The first blog post: How will students be guided and supported for their first blog post? Will they write their first blog post during a tutorial or seminar?

Technical support: What support will be given to students who struggle with the technical aspects of the assignment (starting a blog, hyper linking, embedding videos, etc)?

Tutor involvement : How often will you provide feedback in the form of comments? Will you intervene in the early stages if you see poor performance?

Critical thinking skills: How much time will be spent encouraging students to develop their critical thinking skills through their blog posts? Will you emphasise what critical analysis entails?

Peer feedback How will you teach students to distinguish between being critical and being negative with regards to peer feedback? How will you cover the balance between providing constructive critiques and citing good practice?
