Fort Bliss and East Bliss, (the differences between the two) FortBlissislocatedinthecenterofElPasoandextendsnorthpasttheTexasstatelineintoNewMexico.Therearetwo poststhatborderoneanothertocreatewhatFortBlissistoday.MainPost,whichistheoriginalareaofFortBliss,is locatedNorthofInterstate10andEastofUSHighway54(PatriotFreeway)TheWelcomeCenterislocatedinBldg503 onMainPost.EastBliss,formerlyknownasBiggsArmyAirfieldistherapidlyexpandingportionofpostthatwill eventuallycontain2/3ofallSoldiersstationedatFortBliss.EastBlissislocatedNorthofMainPostandiseasily accessiblefromanewlyconstructedexpressway,the601Spur,alsoknownastheLibertyExpressway. Accessing Main Fort Bliss From US 54 PersonnelarrivingviaUS54canenterthroughoneofthreegates,dependingonwhichdirectiontheyarearrivingfrom. PersonneltravelingNorthonHighway54theycanenterthrougheitherthePershingGate(hours0500-0900and15001800,5Daysaweek),ortheCassidyGatewhichisaccessible24hoursaday.
