Source-Omega Debuts Organic DHA Algae Oil Model

Chapel Hill, NC, April 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Source-Omega today announced the debut of a new source of omega-3 oil and a new method of producing algae oil for increased purity and quality. The Source-Omega supply uses a unique water extraction process and cultured Schizochytrium algae to produce oil that is 40 percent DHA omega-3. The oil produced by this method is called SOURCE OIL(TM). Source-Omega has an exclusive agreement in the USA to manufacture and distribute SOURCE OIL in Dietary Supplements for bulk softgels, mass distribution, private labeling and active pharmaceutical ingredient formulations. In addition, Source-Omega has direct brokerage rights for selling SOURCE OIL in bulk finished ingredient form to other manufactures for their own formulations in supplements and foods. The SOURCE OIL Certificate-of-Analysis (CoA) is available from Source-Omega and passes all standards of certification by the Counsel for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED) using an American Oil Chemistry Society (AOCS) certified analysis and laboratory. EPA is short for eicosapentaenoic acid and DHA is short for docosahexaenoic acid. Source-Omega is scheduled to launch the first branded products in July 2012. Products will include the company's PURE ONE(TM) and CERENATE(TM) flagship brands, to be targeted into private clinical markets for heart health and pregnant and nursing mothers, respectively. The company formulation of oil is pursuant to full USDA Organic certification for addition to milk by the end of 2013 and addition to infant formula by the end of 2014. Annual volumes of 1,500 metric tons of SOURCE OIL are available.
