IS GOD JUST AN OPTION TO YOU?

Like these leaves, if we do not seek God and focus on Him and instead just do according to our own design we become full of motion but lack life. God does not want our days to drift aimlessly, letting circumstances dictate what we do. For aimlessness is akin to lifelessness. There are so many sayings and slogans such as Go with the ow Just go with it etc. yet these sayings ought to be debunked for it leads many to live a life of aimlessness. Blinding many to seek their own agenda and to follow the blindness of society to seek wealth, fame and success. Friends, man should not go through life aimlessly, we should not wander about going through the motion for there is a great calling in our lives if we set our eyes on our Father and only by following this calling can we unlock true joy, peace, love & fulllment. God created us for a reason, He created us to be purposeful and aligned to our calling- to live a life of worship thus shining His goodness in our waking moments and though there are many who seek to make God, to make service, to make church and fellowship but an option- it is our aim today to invalidate this thinking and state that: God should not be but an option to our lives, but He should be the ultimate aim and focus of our existence; by doing so we are able to exude His light in our lives and His goodness in our walk which leads to a full life.

WORD FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Friend, Gods blessing be upon you and your family. Last week, we moved to exhort the brethren to live of life of purpose, a life of worship. We hold it our aim is to hold fast in hope, encoura ge each other to love and good work and forsake not the assembly but sharpen each other as the day of Christ draws near. By doing this, people will see the evidence of our hope which glorifies God in our walk not making Him an option but the focal point of our everyday as our hearts and minds are renewed by His amazing grace.

Hebrews 10:23-25 - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and a% the more, as you see the day drawing near.. When you walk through the park or your own backyard; have you ever noticed the dry leaves on thr ground that shifts, tumbles, ies and skips by the proding of the morning breeze? Notice that these leaves move not of their own accord but by the wind that blows them. Like these leaves we who move on our own agenda realize that we have fallen dead over the years, we only go through the motion- aimlessly moving because of the wind that blows us to and fro.

3 STEPS TO PUT GOD AS THE FOCAL POINT OF OUR EXISTENCE

STEP 1: HOLD FAST TO HOPE means to be lled with hope, to turn our hearts to the hope God has most graciously given us, not the things of this world. If we desire a full life, we ought to hope in God, focus on His word and worship Him with our lives. from the dawning of the day to the conclusion of it. ought to encourage each other- challenge the brethren to love and do good work for the King of Kings. STEP 3: DO NOT FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLY- we cannot encourage if we forsake the assembling together. For when we forsake, we lead our brethren to doubt. Let us strive to be dissolvers of doubt not its root cause, and the STEP 2: SERVE ONE ANOTHER- This is the focus rst step to this is come and be available. Our mere of our life, this should be what we are doing day in and day presence in church strengthens the brethren, our out- It is not enough that we love and do good, but we attendance bolsters our morale. Our presence, our availability is needed to make a dierence.

CHALLENGE
There is a great importance in sharpening each other through love, edication, admonishments and encouragements. For there is great truth in Proverbs 27:17 that states: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Keeping each other intact, strengthened & accountable is imperative in this day & age where people are easily drawn by the temptation that this world has to offer. Yet how can we sharpen each other if we are not present to do so. We cannot be lone wolf believers, but we must stand togetherstay together; one heart, one mind in unity through Christ Jesus.
