Read out t he descr ipt ions one at a t ime. Af t er each one, t he t eams t ake t ur ns (a dif fer ent
team goes frst every time). The frst team agree together, and call out the name of a
disease which t hey t hink has j ust been descr ibed. Make sur e t hat t hey all agr ee, and
that you have the teams fnal answer. If it is correct they get fve points and you play the
next r ecor ding. I f it is wr ong, t he ot her t eam agr ee and give an answer. I f t hey ar e r ight
they get four points if not it goes back to the frst team, who can win three. If they are
still wrong the second team get another try for two points, and if thats wrong the frst
t eam can t r y for one point . Then t ell t hem t he answer and play t he next r ecor ding.

pair s. Keep one car d for your self.
Each card contains the frst half of one sentence and the second half of another. Students
have t o r ecognise when t hey have t he second half of t he cur r ent sent ence: you will need
t o pr ompt t hem wit h some usef ul infor mat ion fr om t ime t o t ime.
Begin the game by reading out the frst half of the frst sentence.
The game ends when you r ead in t he end of t he last sent ence.
