FB = 173.2 lb FC = 86.6 lb Use the geometry to find the distance to the top of the support. The horizontal distance from C to B is 6 in*cos(30o)=5.2 in. The vertical distance from B to the support is 6in +6in*sin(30o) = 9in. The horizontal distance from B to top of the support is (9in/cos(30o)*sin(30o))= 5.2 in. Therefore the distance from C to the top of the support is 5.2 in + 5.2 in = 10.4 in
