NATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES SUMMIT

The issue talent and HR strategies will stay at the top companies agendas as Malaysia becomes even more integrated with international trade linkages and the overall global economy. Crossing over the threshold into a regional and international arena, our business and HR practices need to be on par with global players and yet dynamic enough to adapt to the new environment. Hence the HR function will be required to rapidly respond to changing organisational needs, marketplace challenges and greater exposure to overseas competition. Hence the most critical step for Human Resource professionals in a global Malaysia is to re-think and re-align HR strategies with future business objectives and immediately address any skills, competency and capacity deficiencies. With this in mind, Asian Strategy & th Leadership Institutes (ASLI) 13 National Human Resources Summit was organized to serve as an ideal platform for leading chief executives and senior HR practitioners to share thoughts, raise issues and brain storm on solutions to emerging talent woes as well as the many HR challenges facing them in light of this development. To move ahead in a highly integrated and competitive economy, HR needs to understand the implications it has on its people and take the lead in initiating the transformation.
