PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE LENNOX INTERNATIONAL, Richardson, Texas 2007 - 2011

Senior Staff Engineer, Statistical Modeling and Warranty Analysis Developed and implemented data mining systems and reports to support customer relationship management, warranty risk analysis, warranty reserve calculations, training campaign management, and inventory optimization. Team lead for warranty analysis, reporting, and system development. Developed and implemented a rate-based warranty monitoring system employing state-of-the art methods benchmarked from the best practices of the auto industry. This system transformed the way Lennox monitored warranty data, clearly identified problem parts and became the company standard to focus improvement resources. Designed an automated warranty forecasting system which predicted and ranked the future expected claim cost for thousands of parts. This highly proactive system enabled mangers to focus efforts on avoiding future costs rather than simply reacting to incurred costs. Delivered this exceptional business intelligence capability by leveraging programming skills and existing tools to save thousands in consultant fees and software costs. Developed a unique and effective data-mining method for analyzing part shipment data to provide early warning of quality problems. This approach provided a clear signal when corrective action was necessary to avoid future costs. LOCKHEED MARTIN IS&GS, SBIRS Program (Space Based Infrared), Boulder, Colorado 2004 - 2007

Senior Systems Engineer, Reliability Modeling Modeled the reliability, maintainability, and dependability (RM&D) of complex electronic systems in multiple redundancy configurations. Included the reliability of the software interacting with the hardware as part of the assessment. Reported results to stakeholders to validate compliance with contractual standards.

Page Two LOCKHEED MARTIN IS&GS, SBIRS Program (Continued) Simulated the effect of proposed changes on RM&D predictions using the models and provided input to decision makers. Top secret security clearance, TSSBI. Partnered with Raytheon to successfully incorporate reliability-with-repair logic and algorithms into its software for Lockheed Martins use. This reduced some aspects of the reliability model development process by 50% and provided key quality check on the extremely detailed and complex manual (spreadsheet) calculations. TELEPERFORMANCE USA (TPUSA), Salt Lake City, Utah 2004

Black Belt Statistical Consultant After returning from active military service, served as contract black-belt consultant performing data mining and statistical analysis for call center data. UNITED STATES MILITARY, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003 - 2004

Counterintelligence Team Leader Called up to active duty. Directed a team of 6 counterintelligence agents for 13 months in wartime situation. Served as Tactical Humint Operations Center Technical Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (THOPS TECH NCOIC). Developed database and analysis system to provide commanders with statistical and graphical analysis of threat data. Edited and forwarded intelligence reports. Developed and maintained web presence for battalion-level organization on Secret Internet. Supported computer systems applications software and hardware. Top secret security clearance, TSSBI. Awarded Army Commendation Medal for exceptional service. AUTOLIV AUTOMOTIVE SAFETY PRODUCTS, Ogden, Promontory, & Brigham City, Utah 1993 - 2004

Senior Statistician, Quality and Reliability (2001 - 2004) Key member of central corporate quality staff. Provided advanced problem-solving and analytical support to teams companywide to help solve major quality and reliability issues. Trained engineers in statistics and experimental design. Managed reliability databases. Supported research and development, manufacturing, and supplier development. Used experimental design expertise to support inter-company problem-solving efforts which identified how suppliers process affected major quality problems. Increased everyones knowledge about how the processes interacted, and held suppliers accountable to financially compensate for their bad parts. SAS Programmer / Quality Engineer (1993 - 2001) SAS programming and license management. Engineered quality for airbag inflators. Developed PPAP, control plans, FMEA, SPC systems, and process capability data. Qualified new processes and products. Supported research and development, manufacturing, and supplier development. Designed and implemented a SAS-based statistical server providing on-line key-measure tracking for key processes and products companywide. System enabled process owners to efficiently visualize data and control processes with unprecedented ease and effectiveness. Automated approach saved many hundreds of hours of repetitive manual data manipulation otherwise required to obtain similar results. Developed and maintained ballistic performance prediction models for air bag inflators which identified optimal geometries and loads. Effectively used the models to replace other more expensive analysis methods and reduced destructive test expense by as much as 66% on some platforms. Developed a unique multiple-response optimization modeling system which graphically displayed the optimal loading policy to maximize the predicted reliability of an inflator. System simplified the optimal load selection process and reduced the analysis time required to establish optimal loads up to 75%.
