In the Roman Catholic Church 20th century Latin was the official language. Lastly architecture, romans use domes, arches, and vaults. Romans never invented these however they made a better use for it. Roman builders use arches for making aqueducts, a water transportation system.

Roman Governments: Kingdom, Republic, Empire

Many people believed that a powerful group of kings made Rome a kingdom around the 8thcentury B.C. The last king to rule the kingdom was Tarquin the Proud. He often had a harsh hand to people. Then at 510b.c. the people at Rome refuse to be under his hand. So they got their won government and took him down. Then Rome turned into a republic. After the next 500 years they established a government. They created laws and an average citizen had a voice. Things went well during the republic but between 264 and 146b.c. the Romans had a series of wars with the Cartage. They won of course but since they grew so fast and large ii became hard to stable Rome. Finally Rome became an empire. Augustus made Rome to become an empire. He was a careful, kind, and brilliant. He made peace and prosperity to the roman citizens. He called it Pax Romana. He died in A.D 14. Even though he died Rome became stronger than ever. Then Clovis a franks leader took over Rome and that was the end.
