Course Information
Description Nurses play a critical role in the management of complex patients in acute, chronic, outpatient and community health settings. This is an increasingly valuable skill, as the population ages, and the acuity of patients is ever more demanding. This two-day workshop is designed by highly experienced wound care specialists to provide nurses with knowledge and skills in the management of wounds, including vascular ulcers, chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, neuropathic wounds and fistulas. Effectively assess and manage acute and chronic wound, ostomy and continence health problems in a variety of care settings; 3. Discuss the principles of management for a variety of wounds and their appropriate measures of care; and, 4. Provide evidence-based wound, ostomy and continence care. Methodology
