WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT?

December 21, 2011 By Sid Preskitt What is Sustainable Development? Sustainable Development is the UN Agenda 21 Plan For The 21st Century It is the UN plan to manage and control ALL human activity under Marxist/socialist principles. Re-distribution of wealth is a built in feature of it. In practicality, it is a direct economic attack on the United States. In fact, Maurice Strong was the Chair of the 1992 U.N. Earth Summit in Rio where Agenda 21 was introduced. He made the intent clear when he was quoted saying that it was their responsibility to bring about the collapse of the industrialized countries. It has been incorporated into federal policy with a series of Executive Orders starting with #12982 in 1994 and continuing this year with more creating the Rural and Ocean Councils.

It is the primary reason that we cant meet our energy needs with production from our vast natural resources whether it be petroleum, coal or timber. It is the reason that the vital Keystone Pipeline project is being opposed. It is the reason we export almost a trillion dollars annually buying imported oil when we have proven reserves totaling more than all the mid-east countries combined. It is the reason Americans are exhorted to cut back energy use to 1990s levels further crippling the economy while China and other countries are exempt. All based on a fraudulent premise put forth by the U.N. IPCC. It is the reason that over 600 local governments in the U.S. are dues paying members of ICLEI which directs the local implementation of Agenda 21 and other U.N. policies that Congress never approved. (see: ICLEI.org) It is the reason that the Secretary of Transportation announced that promoting motorized transportation is no longer their priority. It is the reason that our seafood production is severely restricted with only limited access allowed to abundant marine resources. It is the reason that some of the most productive areas of the oceans around the coast are being closed off in Marine Protected Areas It is the reason that NOAA Director, Dr. Jane Lubchenco has made implementing the Agenda 21, Catch Share allocation system in every American fishery a top priority. In New England and Florida the results are American fishermen out of work and the Governor of Massachusetts declaring an economic disaster with a request for $21 million in federal aid. Dr. Lubchencos response was asking for $54 million in additional funds to expand the program. It is a primary reason that we import 84% of our seafood and export (redistribute) nearly $11 billion to foreign countries like China and Vietnam in a seafood trade deficit.

It is the reason that our manufacturing base has been moved to foreign countries starting with NAFTA which had the goal of promoting Sustainable Development. It is the reason that the Federal, State and local governments have been buying land in an effort to create the system of protected areas called for in the unratified U.N. Agenda 21 treaty. It is the reason the U.S. Senate refused to even vote on the treaty when maps of The Wildlands Project were displayed on the floor of the Senate. The stated goal is 50% of the land in Core Wilderness areas with little or no human use interconnected with Wildlife Corridors surrounded with Buffer Zones. It is the reason that Volusia County, Florida now owns approximately 40% of the land in the County creating a Conservation Corridor. When you put it all together it is a primary reason for the collapse of the American economy just as U.N. official, Maurice Strong wanted in 1993 when it all started. Now, what are we going to do about it?

California Declares War on Detached Homes

New American ^ | 11 APRIL 2012 15:36 | RAVEN CLABOUGH California Declares War on Detached Homes WRITTEN BY RAVEN CLABOUGH WEDNESDAY, 11 APRIL 2012 15:36 In its ongoing move to establish a full nanny state, the state of California has passed laws intended to minimize car use and carbon dioxide emissions. Those laws are now leading to policies that permit the state to mandate that up to 30 homes may be built on a single acre of land, in an effort to assuage concerns by climate-change advocates that humans are taking up too much space. Metropolitan area governments are adopting plans that would require most new housing to be built...

The City of Colfax, CA reportedly defeated UN Agenda 21 by a 4-0 vote and passed Resolution No. 12-2012. Ken Delfino, one of the City Councilmen, reportedly wrote a letter describing what he learned about UN Agenda 21 and urges others to educate themselves about it too. You can help by sending these three items of information to your City Council Members. If theyre uninterested, be sure to campaign against them, so that they are defeated when they run for re-election. 1. Here is the reported letter in its entirety (a link to the letter is not yet available). Dear friends, constituents and colleagues: This evening the attached resolution was introduced and discussedand was passed by a 4-0 vote. This particular topic has been discussed in previous council meetings as more and more people are becoming aware of this United Nations program that has been hidden under a myriad of titles starting with the New World Order in 1992 and the addition of many of these restrictive and business-killing environmental initiatives that have been introduced and passed in the past 2-3 years.

On-line searches of anti-American U.N. bias and statements will show you just how much this organization despises the success of our country. We are railed against by the likes of Hugo Chavez, the Castro brothers, Daniel Ortega, Moammar Khadaffy and other anti-American leaders not just from their capitols, but worse, from the United Nations building in New York City! The ultimate goal of United Nations Agenda 21 is global governance with the U.N as the head agency. Many of my council colleagues from other jurisdictions have gotten together to find ways to fight this cancer that has crept into our government. We all took an Oath to support our state and United States constitutions and protect our citizens and community against all enemiesforeign and domesticand this is the statement our city made tonight to this effect. We believe other cities and counties have made such stands and we hope others will join us. I ask that if you have not done so, to at least [sic] research this program and come to your own conclusion. In closing, I want to stress that this is not a Republican v. Democrat v. Libertarian, left v. right, religious [sic] v. atheist issuethis is purely an antiAmerican issue aimed at eliminating our national sovereignty! In continued service to my country and community, Ken Delfino Councilman City of Colfax, CA 2. DICED is UNs Environmental Constitution for the World

- Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Article 3 proposes that the entire globe should be under the protection of international law. Article 11 discusses equity and equitable manner which are code words for communism. Article 16 requires that all member nations must adopt environmental conservation into all national decisions.

Article 20 requires that all nations must mitigate the adverse effects of climate change. If we ratify this document, we must thus fight a non-existent man-made climate change. Article 31 requires the eradication of poverty by spreading the wealth from developed nations to developing countries. Article 32 requires recycling. Article 33 demands that countries calculate the size of the human population their environment is capable of supporting and to implement measures that prevent the population from exceeding that level. Article 33 delineates long-term resettlement and estimating the carrying capacity of the environment. Article 34 demands the maintenance of an open and non-discriminatory international trading system in which prices of commodities and raw materials reflect the full direct and indirect social and environmental costs of their extraction, production, transport, marketing, and where appropriate, ultimate disposal. The capitalist model of supply and demand pricing does not matter. Article 36 describes military and hostile activities. Article 39 decides management plans and quotas for permissible taking or harvesting transboundary biological resources. Article 41 requires integrated planning systems, irrespective of administrative boundaries within a country, and is based on Paragraph 10.5 of Agenda 21, which seeks to facilitate allocation of land to the uses that provide the greatest sustainable benefits and to promote the transition to a sustainable and integrated management of land resources. The impact assessment procedure is developed by the World Bank. Aquifers, drainage basins, coastal, marine areas, and any areas called ecological units must be taken into account when allocating land for municipal, agricultural, grazing, forestry, and other uses. Agricultural subsidies are discouraged, as well as subsidizing private enterprises. Physical planning must follow an integrated approach to land use infrastructure, highways, railways, waterways, dams, and harbors. Town and country planning must include land use plans elaborated at all levels of government. Article 48 demands that biotechnology from research and development and royalties be shared; free access and transfer of technology is also required. Article 51 reveals that we will have to pay for these repressive new requirements while Article 52 shows that we must pay 0.7 percent of GDP for Official Development Assistance. This reaffirms the political commitment made in Paragraph 33.13 of Agenda 21 in 1992. Article 69 deals with settlement of disputes by an arbitrary tribunal such as the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the International Court of Justice, or the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. Article 71 describes the amendment process, which is submitted to the SecretaryGeneral of the United Nations. UN Secretary-General would review the implementation of this document every five years.

From www.conservativeactionalerts.com The Senate SB 1813 would cost $109 billion over two years. The House bill, HR 7, would cost $260 billion over five years. 10% of funds will go to bicycle trails, hiking trails, and traffic calming techniques. It sets up safety and education for pedestrians and bicyclists and programs to encourage walking and bicycling to school. www.redstate.com says that these two bills would sell our highways to private companies that would then turn them into toll roads.

Bank of America to offer rentals as foreclosure alternative

independentmail.com ^ | 23-March-2012 | AP NEW YORK Bank of America says it has begun a pilot program offering some of its mortgage customers who are facing foreclosure a chance to stay in their homes by becoming renters instead of owners. The "Mortgage to Lease" program, which was launched this week, will be available to fewer than 1,000 BofA customers selected by the bank in test markets in Arizona, Nevada and New York. Participants will transfer their home's title to the bank, which will then forgive the outstanding mortgage debt. In exchange, they will be able to lease their home for up to three years...

Proposed UN Environmental Constitution For The World... Repressive System Of Global Governance
End of the American Dream.com ^ | No Date | Staff Most people have no idea that the United Nations has been drafting an environmental constitution for the world that is intended to supersede all existing national laws. This document has a working title of "Draft International Covenant on Environment and Development" and you can read the entire thing right here. Work on this proposed world environmental constitution has been going on since 1995, and the fourth edition was issued to UN member states on September 22nd, 2010. This document is intended to become a permanent binding treaty and it would establish an incredibly repressive system of global governance.

Obama's Driving Americans Out of Cars

Townhall.com ^ | March 7, 2012 | Terry Jeffrey

This morning another post prompted me to do a search on Los Angeles General Plan. This page: http://planning.lacity.org/cwd/gnlpln/transelt/BikePlan/B2Goals.htm
GOAL A transportation system which is accessible, safe, and convenient for bicycle travel, with an accompanying increase in bicycle mode split both in daily trips overall and home-to-work trips. The target level of bicycling shall be 5% of all daily trips and 5% of home-to-work trips by year 2015.

That page led me to an endless supply of Los Angeless web pages. Now, as Im reading this I think back to when a knife wielding illegal immigrant from somewhere in south America, a native, couldnt even speak Spanish. The guy comes towards the police and they killed him. This sparked another riot. I read in the paper that our fair city of Los Angeles, in this guys neighborhood, is giving free housing to illegal aliens, they get free buss passes, food, internet access and who knows what else. Now, get this. The city of Los Angeles has decided that most of our single family homes can have second dwellings on them. Sounds kind of like doubling the population. I have 5 families living next door to me in a single family home. Then our police decide not to punish people without drivers licenses. Then, I notice that they are putting apartment buildings up in residential neighborhoods that just happen to be near the bicycle paths. They dont tell us, you can not search it, but the information leaks out, not in the newspapers, but from word of mouth.

This transportation system is aimed at illegal aliens that can not legally drive. They are the ones that use bicycles. I drive nearly 50 miles a day, every day, on city streets. I notice the buckled sidewalks that wheelchairs can not navigate, I notice the potholes in our streets, and I notice the landscaped bicycle paths for illegal aliens. What this is kids, is the United Nations notion of a One World Government, where there is no sovereignty. The redistribution of wealth to illiterates that can possibly gain union jobs.

This morning my nine year old daughter asked me if it was possible to teach a dog to become a Republican (Who knew she was listening to me, I thought she was playing on her DS). I told her No sweetheart, dogs cant become Republicans, because by default they are dependent on their masters.

The Diabolical, Green Sustainability Scam

American Clarion ^ | March 1, 2012 | Gina Miller Last week, steam shot out of my head as I read an e-mail press release that came here to the radio station. It was followed a day later by a glowing story in our local newspaper. It was the proud announcement of an award from the terrible force that guzzles private property rights like a thirst-crazed man gulps water. This is a subtle and stealthy scheme, because it is couched in nice-sounding platitudes by which many people are deceived, as they will ask, Whats wrong with those noble goals? Its a long story to tell, and there is a ton...

Insufferable Portland
Weekly Standard ^ | March 5, 2012 | Mark Hemingway

Things began to unravel in 1973, when the Oregon legislature required cities in the state to set development boundaries with the goal of preserving farmland from leapfrog developmentthat is, new subdivisions not adjacent to established developments. Portland became the first major city with an urban growth boundary. This fact opened up a world of possibilities that are still being inflicted upon us. Urban planners have long believed in a land-use-transportation connection that would allow them to manipulate one through the other, writes Cato Institute senior fellow Randal OToole in a damning policy paper on the failure of Portlands growth policies....

Maurice Strong: We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrialized civilization to collapse.

Maurice Strong: Developed and benefited from the unsustainable patterns of production and consumption which have produced our present dilemma. It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work-place airconditioning, and suburban housingare not sustainable. A shift is necessary toward lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns. Van Jones: Sprawl is a response to racial fear and anxiety on the part of white elites. The 'burbs were designed as a vehicle to get away from people of color, investing more in the white infrastructure as they moved away from the city, and the neighborhoods where people of color live. Does that mean the only environmentally-sound, antiracist thing for whites to do is move back to the inner cities. Yes, it does.

of Arizona, Schwarzenegger of California, Richardson of New Mexico, Kulongoski of Oregon, and Gregoire of Washington signed an agreement establishing the Western

Climate Initiative (WCI), a joint effort to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and address climate change. Since that time, the governors of Utah and Montana, as well as the premiers of British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec (not shown above) have joined. An additional 14 jurisdictions participate as observers, including the U.S. states of Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nevada, and Wyoming; the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan; and the Mexican border states of Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Sonora, and Tamaulipas. In the Initiative's Memorandum of Understanding, WCI members agreed to jointly set a regional emissions target and establish a market-based systemsuch as a cap-and-trade program covering multiple economic sectorsto aid in meeting this target. In August 2007, the Western Climate Initiative announced its regional, economy-wide greenhouse gas emissions target of 15 percent below 2005 levels by 2020, or approximately 33 percent below business-as-usual levels. The regional target is designed to be consistent with existing targets set by individual member states and does not replace these goals. Covered emissions include the six primary greenhouse gases identified by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, and sulfur hexafluoride. In September 2008, the WCI released Design Recommendations for a cap-and-trade program; beginning in 2012, the program will cover emissions from electricity and large industrial and commercial sources, and it will cover emissions from transportation and other residential, commercial, and industrial fuel use beginning in 2015. In July 2010, the WCI Partners released the Design for the WCI Regional Program, a comprehensive strategy designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, stimulate development of clean-energy technologies, create green jobs, increase energy security, and protect public health. It is a plan to reduce regional GHG emissions to 15 percent below 2005 levels by 2020, and is the culmination of two years of work by seven U.S. states and four Canadian provinces. It builds on the recommendations for a regional cap-and-trade program that the Partners released in September 2008. The WCI builds on work already undertaken individually by the participating states and provinces, as well as two earlier regional agreements: the Southwest Climate Change Initiative of 2006, which includes Arizona and New Mexico, and the West Coast Governors' Global Warming Initiative of 2003, which includes California, Oregon, and Washington. website

A map overlay showing all the U.S. wildlife migration paths would blot out nearly half the nation -- a very clever diagram for empire-building bureaucrats. The obscure but well-heeled Wildlife Conservation Society (2010 assets $764 million) unveiled the idea last week in "Spectacular Migrations in the Western U.S.," a 45page report on the purportedly urgent need for a widespread network of wildlife migration corridors to avert countless extinctions. How the left purveys sprawl

Waterbury Republican-American ^ | September 17, 2011 | Editorial Few issues make the blood of liberal Democrats boil hotter than suburban sprawl, which they claim is responsible for a plethora of social, cultural, economic, publichealth and environmental woes. They blame sprawl on the creation of the federal highway system during the Eisenhower administration, even though the suburbanization of America was well under way before the 1950s. Sprawl actually is a sign of prosperity. Generations of Americans have fled the cities because they were fed up with the overpaying for cramped urban apartments so they could walk or bike through crime-ridden neighborhoods to get to work, stores and restaurants.

The green people see Americans as being wasteful, using far more resources than the poor countries. They see using our children to blur the lines of country-states so that a global

community can tax and enforce laws, all without our involvement in electing our global leaders. Maurice Strong has a place in Colorado with worshiping structures throughout the property to make all visitors welcome. He sees this as the blueprint for the world. Mexicans are the ideal people to flood the United States. Their global footprint is relatively small, choosing not to buy boats, dirt bikes, ski, but to sit around at home or in their homeland drinking on holidays. The Mexicans are willing accept multi-family housing, whether it is an apartment or home. They will accept government dependency and they also blur the line on countries.

Daily News 110701 http://www.dailynews.com/ci_18395192?source=most_viewed Villaraigosa orders new 1,680-mile bicycle lane system
Los Angeles' best-known bicyclist - if not its most adept - ordered department heads on Friday to immediately launch an effort to build a 1,680mile bikeway system and make the city more bike-friendly. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa issued the directive while participating in the Clinton Global Initiative America in Chicago, saying the plan would allow Angelenos to eventually have a bike path within a mile of their homes.

"The Bicycle Plan will help improve the quality of life for every Angeleno, by providing another clean transportation option for their daily commute, improving the quality of the air and make it more accessible to lead a healthy, active lifestyle," Villaraigosa said. The mayor became the city's unofficial poster child for bicycle safety last July, after he took a tumble and broke his elbow when a taxi pulled in front of his bicycle while he was riding along Venice Boulevard. The planned bikeway system would include a 707-mile "backbone" network, including bike lanes providing access to employment centers, transit stations and retail/entertainment hubs; an 834-mile network of local streets with low traffic volumes; and a 139-mile "green network" using bike paths to provide better access to parks and river channels. Villaraigosa's order mandates the construction of 40 miles of bikeways each year - a fourfold increase from the previous construction average, according to the mayor's office. Funding for the construction will come through the Measure R transportation-dedicated sales tax, federal grants and other sources. Councilman Bill Rosendahl praised the directive, which requires city agencies to include bicycle-friendly features in their programs and expand public education and training campaigns. "We have been working more than five years to get this plan in place and it's important that the mayor is telling department heads that they need to consider bicycles in their planning," Rosendahl said. "The city car culture has to change." Glenn Bailey, an Encino bicycle advocate and vice chair of the city's Bicycle Advisory Committee, said he also appreciated the order. "This is what we have been working on for years," Bailey said. "The mayor's directive will help put all departments on the same agenda."

The U.N.'s Maurice Strong (R), at the 1992 Earth Summit. Image by AFP/Getty Images via @daylife Roughly 15 years after many scientific experts had warned about the arrival of another Ice Age, an estimated 35,000 government officials, diplomats, Non-Government Organization (NGO) activists and journalists from 178 countries attending a U.N.- sponsored 1992 Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED, or Earth Summit) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began to negotiate international agreements to counter a reverse climate threat. An observed shift to warming was seized upon as the basis for stabilizing dangerous anthropogenic (human-caused) greenhouse gases (principally CO2) at 1900 levels. By that time they had already established a Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC), and determined that human activities have been substantially increasing the atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gasses, that these increases enhance the natural greenhouse effect, and that this will result on average in the additional warming of the Earths surface and atmosphere and may adversely affect natural ecosystems and mankind. The Rio Earth Summit codified the U.N.s central theme for the famous (or infamous) Kyoto Protocol, which the U.S. has refused to ratify. Along

with the FCCC, which established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), it also produced three other much lesser-known initiatives the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, the Statement of Forest Principles, The United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, and Sustainable Development Agenda 21. The latter may ultimately prove over the long term to be most broadly influential of all.

Addressing the Summit audience, Strong also suggested a primary remedy, whereby: We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrialized civilization to collapse. Former Senator Timothy Wirth, representing the Clinton-Gore administration as undersecretary of state for global affairs, stated that public concern about global warming could be used to advance that cause: We have got to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy. Wirth now heads the U.N. Foundation which has lobbied for hundreds of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to help underdeveloped countries fight climate change. The global warming rubric has served as an ideal platform to enable the U.N. to advance large philosophical visions, wealth redistribution agendas, and world governance goals under the banner of environmentalism. If this sounds a bit like conspiratorial paranoia, lets

review some words spoken by then-President Jacques Chirac of France in a 2000 speech supporting a key Western European Kyoto Protocol objective: For the first time, humanity is instituting a genuine instrument of global governance, one that should find a place within the World Environment Organization which France and the European Union would like to see established. Saving the planet makes for a great cover story to conceal power and wealth redistribution that have no such laudable purpose as was witnessed at the 2009 Copenhagen Summit followed by Cancun in 2010. This organized movement really originated in the 1970s and early 1980s when Third World countries, by force of numbers, and European socialist green parties, through powers of aggressiveness, seized control of the U.N. and began calling for a New International Economic Order (NIEO) . Continuing goals are to transfer unfair wealth from the industrialized West to their majority; to establish global socialism; and to obtain postcolonial reparations for our past misdeeds. Now, enter Sustainable Development Agenda 21 (or just Agenda 21). Realizing difficulties in getting some national governments the U.S. in particular to enact massive regulatory control over virtually all aspects of energy production and consumption, UNCED leaders launched a campaign to advance the same agenda through state and local initiatives. Since Agenda 21 was a soft-law policy recommendation, (not a treaty) it

required no U.S. congressional authorization. President Clinton established a Presidents council in 1993 on Sustainable Development by Executive Order for the specific purpose of implementing it in the U.S. The Agenda 21 plan was hatched in 1990 through an NGO called the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). Its name was changed in 2003 to ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability to emphasize local and diminish concerns about international influence and associations with U.N. political and financial ties. The ICLEIs are in most of our counties in the U.S.A. today. That camouflage is pretty transparent. On its web page ICLEI: Connecting Leaders the organization explains that their networking strategy connects cities and local governments to the United Nations and other international bodies. In doing so it represents local governments at the U.N. Commission on Sustainable Development, the U.N.F.C.C.C. and U.N. Conventions on Biodiversity and Combating Desertification. It also cooperates with the U.N. Environment Programme and U.N.-HABITAT II Programme. Habitat II is the implementation plan for Agenda 21. Agenda 21 envisions a global scheme for healthcare, education, nutrition, agriculture, labor, production, and consumption. A summary version titled AGENDA 21: The Earth Summit Strategy to Save Our Planet (Earthpress, 1993), calls for a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienceda major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. The report emphasizes that This shift will demand a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level. And dont think for a moment that this will come about without lots of pain. As Al Gore stated in his 1993 book Earth in the Balance, sustainable development will bring about a wrenching transformation of American society. Come to think of it, he does appear a bit stressed lately with all those big homes to sustain.

ICLEIs web page states that its Local Agenda 21 [LA21] Model Communities Programme is designed to aid local governments in implementing Chapter 28 of Agenda 21, the global action plan for sustainable development. As Gary Lawrence, a planner for the city of Seattle and an advisor to the Clinton-Gore administrations Council on Sustainable Development and to U.S. AID commented at a 1998 U.N. Environmental Development Forum in London titled The Future of Local Agenda 21 in the New Millennium, In some cases, LA21 is seen as an attack on the power of the nation-state. He went on to say, Participating in a U.N. advocated planning process will very likely bring out manywho would work to defeat any elected officialundertaking Local Agenda 21 So we will call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth. And so they have. Comprehensive planning, growth management and smart growth (which is Agenda 21 with a new name). All mean pretty much the same thing centralized control of virtually every aspect of urban life: energy and water use, housing stock and allocation, population levels, public health and dietary regimens, resources and recycling, social justice and education. Richard Rothschild, a candidate for Carroll County commissioner in Maryland, described reasons to stave off smart growth overreach initiatives there: Smart growth is not science; it is political dogma combined with an insidious dose of social engineering It urbanizes rural towns with high-density development, and gerrymanders population centers through the use of housing initiatives that enable people with weak patterns of personal financial responsibility to acquire homes in higher-income areasshifting the voting patterns of rural communities from Right to Left.

Every county in America now has sustainable development directives guided by federal agencies, NGOs, and/or the ICLEI. ICLEI-USA claims that its official members consistently rank among the greenest cities and have led the effort in recent years to envision, accelerate and achieve strong climate protection goals, creating cleaner, healthier, more economically viable communities. More than 130 of those members are California counties and cities. They include all major metro areas Los Angeles, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, San Diego, and San Francisco as well as smaller communities from Alameda to Yountville. So much for influences on economic viability! And as for goals of sustainability, what, according to the ICLEI definition, does this term actually mean? Former Earth Summit chair, now president of the UNs University for Peace council Maurice Strong provided an answer in the forward he wrote for the Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide published by ICLEI, the International Development Research Center (IDRC) and U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP) in 1996. The realities of life on our planet dictate that continued economic development as we know it cannot be sustainedSustainable development, therefore, is a program of action for local and global economic reform- a program that has yet to be defined. In other words, it means whatever the United Nations ultimately decides is best for all of us.

Section One of 13575 states the following: Section 1. Policy. Sixteen percent of the American population lives in rural counties. Strong, sustainable rural communities are...

Agenda 21 and Obamas Rural Council?

CFP ^ | 6/15/11 | Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh Posted on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 2:47:16 PM by Nachum

On June 9, 2011, an Executive Order established the White House Rural Council with 25 executive branch departments including Defense, Justice, Homeland Security, National Drug Control, Environmental Quality, Labor, Commerce, Interior, EPA, Housing, Health, Education to name just a few. The order covers 16% of the American population who lives in rural counties because they supply our food, fiber, and energy, safeguard our natural resources, and are essential in the development of science and innovation.

AGENDA 21 IN ONE EASY LESSON

Awareness of Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development is racing across the nation as citizens in community after community are learning what their city planners are actually up to. As awareness grows, I am receiving more and more calls for tools to help activists fight back. Many complain that elected officials just wont read detailed reports or watch long videos. Can you give us something that is quick, and easy to read that we can hand out, Im asked. So here it is. A one page, quick description of Agenda 21 that fits on one page. Ive also included for the back side of your hand out a list of quotes for the perpetrators of Agenda 21 that should back up my brief descriptions. A word of caution, use this as a starter kit, but do not allow it to be your only knowledge of this very complex subject. To kill it you have to know the facts. Research, know your details; discover the NGO players in your community; identify who is victimized by the policies and recruit them to your fight; and then kill Agenda 21. Thats how it must be done. The information below is only your first step. Happy hunting. What is Sustainable Development? According to its authors, the objective of sustainable development is to integrate economic, social and environmental policies in order to achieve reduced consumption, social equity, and the preservation and restoration of biodiversity. Sustainablists insist that every societal decision be based on environmental impact, focusing on three components; global land use, global education, and global population control and reduction. Social Equity (Social injustice) Social justice is described as the right and opportunity of all people to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment. Redistribution of wealth. Private property is a social injustice since not everyone

can build wealth from it. National sovereignty is a social injustice. Universal health care is a social injustice. All part of Agenda 21 policy. Economic Prosperity Public Private Partnerships (PPP). Special dealings between government and certain, chosen corporations which get tax breaks, grants and the governments power of Eminent Domain to implement sustainable policy. Government-sanctioned monopolies. Local Sustainable Development policies Smart Growth, Wildlands Project, Resilient Cities, Regional Visioning Projects, STAR Sustainable Communities, Green jobs, Green Building Codes, Going Green, Alternative Energy, Local Visioning, facilitators, regional planning, historic preservation, conservation easements, development rights, sustainable farming, comprehensive planning, growth management, consensus. Who is behind it? ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability (formally, International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives). Communities pay ICLEI dues to provide local community plans, software, training, etc. Addition groups include American Planning Council, The Renaissance Planning Group, International City/ County Management Group, aided by US Mayors Conference, National Governors Association, National League of Cities, National Association of County Administrators and many more private organizations and official government agencies. Foundation and government grants drive the process. Where did it originate? The term Sustainable Development was first introduced to the world in the pages a 1987 report (Our Common Future) produced by the United Nations World Commission on Environmental and Development, authored by Gro Harlem Brundtland, VP of the World Socialist Party. The term was first offered as official UN policy in 1992, in a document called UN Sustainable Development Agenda 21, issued at the UNs Earth Summit, today referred to simply as Agenda 21.

What gives Agenda 21 Ruling Authority? More than 178 nations adopted Agenda 21 as official policy during a signing ceremony at the Earth Summit. US president George H.W. Bush signed the document for the US. In signing, each nation pledge to adopt the goals of Agenda 21. In 1995, President Bill Clinton, in compliance with Agenda 21, signed Executive Order #12858 to create the Presidents Council on Sustainable Development in order to harmonize US environmental policy with UN directives as outlined in Agenda 21. The EO directed all agencies of the Federal Government to work with state and local community governments in a joint effort reinvent government using the guidelines outlined in Agenda 21. As a result, with the assistance of groups like ICLEI, Sustainable Development is now emerging as government policy in every town, county and state in the nation. Revealing Quotes From the Planners Agenda 21 proposes an array of actions which are intended to be implemented by EVERY person on Earthit calls for specific changes in the activities of ALL people Effective execution of Agenda 21 will REQUIRE a profound reorientation of ALL humans, unlike anything the world has ever experienced Agenda 21: The Earth Summit Strategy to Save Our Planet (Earthpress, 1993). Emphases DR Urgent to implement but we dont know what it is! The realities of life on our planet dictate that continued economic development as we know it cannot be sustainedSustainable development, therefore is a program of action for local and global economic reform a program that has yet to be fully defined. The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide, published by ICLEI, 1996. No one fully understands how or even, if, sustainable development can be achieved; however, there is growing consensus that it must be accomplished at the local level if it is ever to be achieved on a global basis. The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide, published by ICLEI, 1996. Agenda 21 and Private Property

Landcannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth, therefore contributes to social injustice. From the report from the 1976 UNs Habitat I Conference. Private land use decisions are often driven by strong economic incentives that result in several ecological and aesthetic consequencesThe key to overcoming it is through public policy Report from the Presidents Council on Sustainable Development, page 112. Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work air conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable. Maurice Strong, Secretary General of the UNs Earth Summit, 1992. Reinvention of Government We need a new collaborative decision process that leads to better decisions, more rapid change, and more sensible use of human, natural and financial resources in achieving our goals. Report from the Presidents Council on Sustainable Development Individual rights will have to take a back seat to the collective. Harvey Ruvin, Vice Chairman, ICLEI. The Wildlands Project We must make this place an insecure and inhospitable place for Capitalists and their projects we must reclaim the roads and plowed lands, halt dam construction, tear down existing dams, free shackled rivers and return to wilderness millions of tens of millions of acres or presently settled land. Dave Foreman, Earth First. What is not sustainable? Ski runs, grazing of livestock, plowing of soil, building fences, industry, single family homes, paves and tarred roads, logging activities, dams and reservoirs,

power line construction, and economic systems that fail to set proper value on the environment. UNs Biodiversity Assessment Report. Hide Agenda 21s UN roots from the people Participating in a UN advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy- fixated groups and individuals in our society This segment of our society who fear one-world government and a UN invasion of the United States through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined the conspiracy by undertaking LA21. So we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth. J. Gary Lawrence, advisor to President Clintons Council on Sustainable Development.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/is-the-soros-sponsored-agenda-21-a-hidden-plan-forworld-government-yes-only-it-is-not-hidden/ What is Agenda 21? If you do not know about it, you should. Agenda 21 is a two-decade old, grand plan for global Sustainable Development, brought to you from the United Nations. George H.W. Bush (and 177 other world leaders) agreed to it back in 1992, and in 1995, Bill Clinton signed Executive Order #12858, creating a Presidential Council on Sustainable Development. This effectively pushed the UN plan into Americas large, churning government machine without the need for any review or discussion by Congress or the American people. Sustainable Development sounds like a nice idea, right? It sounds nice, until you scratch the surface and find that Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development are really cloaked plans to impose the tenets of Social Justice/Socialism on the world. At risk from Agenda 21;

Private Property ownership Single-Family homes Private car ownership and individual travel choices Privately owned farms

The Agenda 21 plan openly targets private property. For over thirty-five years the UN has made their stance very clear on the issue of individuals owning land; Land cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of society as a whole. Source: United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat I),Vancouver, BC, May 31 June 11, 1976. Preamble to Agenda Item 10 of the Conference Report. There are two more, very good reasons to be wary of Agenda 21 and the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) that supports it: George Soros and the United Nations. Soros money has been tracked to funding parts of ICLEI ;

In 1997, George Soross Open Society gave ICLEI a $2,147,415 grant to support its Local Agenda 21 Project As regards the UN, that organizations problems with Americas appreciation of freedom and self-determination is one that needs no explanation. Currently in California, Agenda 21 is working to implement plans to create plans for sustainable management of open spaces. The definition of what is to be considered an open space has sparked some heated exchanges between those directing the planning meetings and citizens who want private property rights to be respected and protected. (The East Bay Tea Party video featuring a Liberal Democrat arguing against ICLEI can be seen at the end of this article.) This type of global plan could not be implemented without a large and wellfunded group pushing through its priorities. For that, Agenda 21 has the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). And ICLEI is deeply entrenched in America; ICLEI USA was launched in 1995 and has grown from a handful of local governments participating in a pilot project to a solid network of more than 600 cities, towns and counties actively striving to achieve tangible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and create more sustainable communities. ICLEI USA is the domestic leader on climate protection and adaptation, and sustainable development at the local government level. Over six hundred cities, towns and counties in America are members of ICLEI? Do you support your local government agreeing to rules and regulations set up by a UN-based organization that wants private property transferred to government control? If you would like to see if your community is a member of ICLEI, you can visit their website. Austin, Texas is one city that seems to have fallen for the ICLEI/Agenda 21 and was heavily consuming the Communitariasm Kool-aid. A local group called Texans For Accountable Government saw what was happening and attempted to stop the Austin City Council from adopting some Agenda 21-friendly initiatives. One of TAGs members, John Bush, delivered a succinct presentation on ICLEI

and Agenda 21 that was virtually ignored. Watch his short argument against the proposed local law immediately followed by the lopsided vote adopting the plan. In the world of business Agenda 21 is not a free market friend, preferring PPPs or Private Public Partnerships where the government decides which companies will receive tax breaks and are allowed to stay in business. In light of this realization, the cozy relationship between the current administration and GE (a company that paid no tax in 2010) should raise eyebrows. And the WH efforts to tell Boeing in which state they can operate seems to further bolster the belief that Agenda 21 ideals are already making headway in America. The seeds for Agenda 21 were planted back in 1987 when the writings of Gro Harlem Brundtland (a woman who was first Vice-President of the Socialist International) caught the eye of the UN. Dr. Brundtland wrote a report for the UN called, Our Common Future eventually got into the business of environmentalism as a tool to control all the people of the world and establish a global government. The growth of ICLEI and the framework being put in place by supporters of Agenda 21 appear to be bringing Dr. Brundtlands ideas closer to reality In recent months, citizen groups across the country have organized and become involved in the removal of towns and cities from membership in ICLEI. The Roanoke, VA Tea Party is holding a rally this week in an effort to have ICLEI removed from their local government. For a better understanding of Agenda 21 and ICLEI we suggest: The American Policy Center offers a one-page primer on Agenda 21. The featured speaker at the Tea Party meeting, Rosa Koire, is a liberal Democrat who understands that Agenda 21 will destroy America as we know it. Rosas website, DemocratsAgainstAgenda21.com is also worth a visit. H/T to the tireless members of the SFBAY 9-12 organization for all of their information sharing on the topics of ICLEI and Agenda 21.
