GAME MODE 1: CAPTURE AND CONTROL (2player) : game has two objectives, that any infantry or jump infantry

model can hold. no t restricted to troops choices. : if one patrol holds both objectives, the other army must take a leadership tes t at the start of each turn against its commander's leadership. if it fails, tha t army withdraws from combat, leaving the other as the victor. : the army must continue to take leadership tests until it eliminates the enemy army (thus winning) or takes contests an objective. : if both armies are on the table at the game's conclusion, the army with the mo st control points under control is the victor. : game lasts for 5 turns. GAME MODE 2: HIGH GROUND (2player) : the game has one objective, a strategically vital building in the middle of th e board. : the aim is to have at least one scoring unit (i.e. any infantry or jump infant ry unit, unrestricted to troops) occupying the building at the end of the game. : Each army may take one city fighting stratagem as detailed in the Cities of De ath mission book. : game last 5 turns. GAME MODE 3: CAPTURE AND CONTROL (3player) : the game has 4 objectives, that any infantry or jump infantry unit, unrestrict ed to troops, may hold. : if at any stage one army is not in control of an objective after the end of tu rn 2, that army must take a leadership test against its commander's leadership. if it fails, that army withdraws from combat, leaving the other two to continue fighting. : the army will continue to take leadership tests until it contests another obje ctive. : if all armies on board at conclusion, army with most control points is the win ner. : game lasts for 5 turns. GAME MODE 4: VIP (2player or 3player) : a building is placed in the centre of the board. this building is important to both teams as it has an Icon of the Warp placed inside it. : this icon has special significance to each team: to Chaos, it is used to ascen d warriors to Deamonhood; to Eldar, it is used to call on the avatars of the los t to join battle; and to the Space Marines, it is a herectical artifact that mus t be detroyed. : each team has a VIP. he does not have a points cost or affect your points tota l and is in addition to the army the players have already chosen. This VIP is as sumed to be the only one who can use the icon. : the object of the game is to get their VIP into the central building and have him there at the end of the game. : opposing teams will try and kill the other army's VIP characters while protect ing their own. if an army loses it VIP, it is not out of the game: it can still attempt to kill opposing teams VIPs. : games lasts for 5 turns.
