2007-TILL NOW

First Greenfield airport in India with the public -private collaboration due to open in May
2008 with a passenger handling capacity of 10 million pax costing 25000 million Rs
ACHIEVEMENTS
 Co author of two maintenance manuals for airfield pavements and ancillary
buildings
 Created software Friction Mapper for tracing friction values in runway for rubber
removal.
 Database management for pavement inventory as well as maintenance history.
 Weekly Slot coordination for runway maintenance.

CALICUT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (INDIA)


2001-2007

 Extension of Runway at 28 end .This is one of the biggest table top runways in
Asia with an embankment of over 45m, filling quantity of 65 lakh cum costing
1500 million Rupees.
 Perimeter Road along operational boundary (7.5 km Asphalt road of value 11
million Rs.
 Construction of Fire station (CAT VIII fire station including Rigid hardstand of
worth 14million Rs.)
 Design and execution of modified water supply scheme of value 6 million Rs.
 Maintenance of buildings and associated services like water supply, sewerage, rain
water harvesting, horticulture and landscaping in association with phase 2
expansion.
 Development of car park (for 1000 cars) costing 6 million Rs.
 Raising of boundary wall of 7.5 km from 7”to 8.5”around airport
 Expansion of Apron (Phase 2) for additional 20 parking bays costing 70 million

 Runway Re carpeting work Runway 1 of value 110 million Rs.
ACHIEVEMENTS
 Lead final earth work survey over 30000 points and settled final bill for ‘Extension
of Runway at 28 end’ in record time.
 Created software in excel for simplifying data updation.
 Did pilot works like’ lead in light ‘site identification, Laterite-Ferro cement rain
water harvesting tank
