1 General management The general manager is responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable profit making results for an organization. The general manager is responsible to see that all the other managers are doing what they are suppose to do, when they are suppose to do it. In Suni Oil the general manager is also the owner. I found that as one of the strong points of Suni Oil because he knows what he wants done, and he knows how to do that. Another important task of the general manager is to keep everyone motivated and focused. I learnt that its very important to have a good relationship with your coworkers. The general manager plan, delegate, organize and control. 1.2 Human resource management Human resource management is the process by which an optimal fit is made among the employee, job, business and environment so that employees reach their level of satisfaction and performance and the business meets its goals. Suni Oil is still a relative new business and doesnt have a HR yet. There are talks to appoint a HR within the next year. The HR will be responsible to see that all the workers are satisfied and that they will reach their goals. In short the HR will be like a compliment and complaint box for Suni Oils workers. 1.3 Operations management Operations management is an area of management concerned with overseeing, designing, and redesigning business operations in the production of goods and/or services. Suni Oil has three different departments: the press, the refinery and the solvent plant. Each department has its own operations manager whos in charge of the employees and resources of each section. They see to it that everything goes as it is suppose to, and that everyone is doing their job. 1.4 Logistics management This is the management of the flow of materials and services between the point of origin and the point of use in order to meet the requirements of customers or corporations. The logistics manager has a very important job in Suni Oil. He must make sure that there is enough sunflower to keep the press occupied 24/7 and that the tucks come on time to collect the refined oil, otherwise there wont be space to keep the oil.

1.5 Information management Its the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences. Suni Oil doesnt have an information manager because its still in the beginning of growth. But the information manager will typically gather info that can improve or has an influence on Suni Oil and see that the information is analyzed and reach the right people. 1.6 Marketing management Marketing management is focused on the practical application of marketing techniques and the management of a firm's marketing resources and activities. The marketing manager of Suni Oil has a huge task to fulfill every day. They produce 70 000 liters of oil per day that needs to be sold. If the marketing manager doesnt do his job Suni Oil wont be avle to survive. 1.7 Financial management Corporate finance is the area of finance dealing with monetary decisions that business enterprises make and the tools and analysis used to make these decisions. This manager is in charge of all the payments that should be made and received. She also give her inputs if something needs to be bought. She knows everything about the financial position of Suni Oil and also does the salaries. 1.8 Public relations management Bette known as PR, primarily concerns enhancing and maintaining the image for businesses. Its the practice of managing communication between an organization and the public. Because Suni Oil is still very new it doesnt need a PR at this stage, but if someday it did he will have to make sure that the public think of Suni Oil as a trustworthy company with high quality products and environment friendly. He should make sure that theres no scandal about Suni Oil.
