Information Technology Disaster Resource Center Announces 2012 Disaster Preparedness Road Show

ITDRC to hold free disaster preparedness educational events for small businesses and non-profits in 26 high risk US cities. Fort Worth, TX, April 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Information Technology Disaster Resource Center (ITDRC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of IT professionals who assist communities and small businesses with technology continuity and recovery, this week announced it is hosting a 26 stop Spring Disaster Preparedness Road Show. The free 3 hour educational events, presented by IT Disaster Recovery Specialists, will focus on helping small businesses and non-profits assess their current use of technology; develop a strategy to safeguard their data, and understand options for business continuity and recovery in the event of disaster. We've seen an increase in regional disasters this past year, and found that many small businesses really need help with pre-planning, said Joe Hillis, Operations Director of the ITDRC. That's really what's driving this tour; and hopefully they will take advantage of this opportunity to get prepared, he added. The Road Show is presented as a public service of the technology community, and is funded primarily through a sponsorship grant from StorageCraft Technology Corporation, supporting partners, and private donors. The tour kicks off in Shreveport, LA on April 23, with stops along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts; and in several high risk cities in Tornado Alley. Venues in each community were donated to the ITDRC, which is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Seating is limited, and online registration is required for each event. The complete Road Show schedule and registration links are available on the ITDRC web site: www.itdrc.org/?page_id=404.
