RoamAnywhere Mobility RouterThe RoamAnywhere Mobility Router is a platform for Mobile Convergence. The Mobility Router provides seamless, location-based handover for voice and data as you roam between WiFi and on the cellular networks.
The Mobility Router extends the key features of the enterprise PBX to enable you to have one enterprise phone number, one voice mail box, and one caller ID. Additionally, you also benefit from productivity-enhancing features, such as enterprise directory lookup and extension dialing, to enhance your mobile communications experience. The RoamAnywhere solution is designed to maximize the use of the enterprise WiFi network when in the office, employing the routing intelligence to hand over a call to the cellular network as you walk out of the building. Additionally, if you are on a cellular call and you walk into the building, the routing intelligence hands over the call from the cellular network to the WiFi network seamlessly. The Mobility Router also hosts the following:
RoamAnywhere Administration PortalAllows administrators to easily configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot the RoamAnywhere Mobility Router. RoamAnywhere User PortalAllows you to customize your calling experience to better control communication based on various factors, including time of day, calling filters, and your location.

Placing Calls
To make a call with RoamAnywhere Dialer, proceed as you normally would to make a call. You can also use the RoamAnywheres Contacts and Log lists to make calls. If you are using RoamAnywhere Dialer to make a call over the cellular network, the call is initially routed to the enterprise before being placed to the number you are calling. The following types of calls are not routed through the enterprise:
Emergency calls (for example, 911 in the United States or 112 in European Union countries). Direct call number defined in server dial plan (for example, 411). Calls with numbers starting with an asterisk (*) or the pound sign (#) (for example, *646# to check remaining cellular plan minutes). Personal-mode calls (calls placed with Personal Dial mode enabled and to contacts marked as Personal-Dial contacts). Calls to cellular voice mail.
You cannot place or receive enterprise calls while you are on a call that is not routed through the enterprise. To make a call:

Secure Remote Voice (if your RoamAnywhereTM solution is licensed for it) allows you to securely place and receive calls using any WiFi network or VoIP over cellular data network outside of the enterprise. Secure Remote Voice uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to ensure that your calls are secure. You can Secure Remote Voice from home or any other WiFi hotspot and have access to PBX and desk-phone features, just as you do when you are in the enterprise. Secure enterprise services such as directory query are accessed using a WiFi network that is not in the enterprise network or a cellular packet-data network.
Depending on how your system administrator configured your account, you might have access to Secure Remote Voice or secure enterprise services or both. Contact your system administrator if you are not sure whether you have secure remote access enabled on your account.
NOTE When outside of WiFi coverage, BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) service
is required on devices in order to perform the following tasks, and do not require Agito Secure Enterprise Services to be enabled:

Secure Enterprise Services When the secure enterprise services registration and Secure VoIP Connection icons are present, you can securely access enterprise services such as directory query and the enterprise voice mail indicator.
70
Version 4.5
If your company uses an LDAP-based corporate directory server and your system administrator has configured the RoamAnywhere Mobility Router to query that directory server, RoamAnywhere Dialer allows you to search the corporate directory from your mobile device. If your mobile device is connected to the enterprise WiFi network, you can search the corporate directory. If you are outside the enterprise WiFi network, you can search the corporate directory only if your system administrator has configured your RoamAnywhere user account to access enterprise services using a remote WiFi network or cellular packet-data network (for example, GPRS). Searching the corporate directory using a remote WiFi or cellular packet-data network is a secure transaction. This chapter contains the following sections:
Using the Corporate Directory outside of the Enterprise on page 72 Searching the Corporate Directory on page 72
Placing a Call Using Directory Query on page 73 Viewing Additional Information for a Directory Query Match on page 73 Adding a Directory Query Match to Contacts on page 74

BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). Use the BES to control all permission settings locally on the device itself. Please see your System Administrator to verify your device is BES-connected.
Cellular packet-data network Use the data network of your cellular service provider to access the corporate directory. The network depends on your service provider and the networks your mobile device supports. If you search the corporate directory using a cellular data network, you incur data charges, based on your service plan. For information about your mobile device and cellular service plan, contact your cellular service provider or your system administrator.
WiFi network outside of the enterprise If you can establish a connection to a WiFi network with your mobile device, you can search the corporate directory.
If you are not sure whether you have access to the corporate directory outside of the office, contact your system administrator. For information about how to set up your mobile device to access secure enterprise services, see Managing Secure Remote Access on page 67.
From the RoamAnywhere Dialer main screen, select the BlackBerry button > Directory Query.
72
Version 4.5
Enter a string of letters or numbers that you want to search for in the corporate directory, and select OK. If you entered a string of letters, RoamAnywhere Dialer searches for the string against the initial letters in the first names listed in the corporate directory. If you entered a string of numbers, RoamAnywhere Dialer searches for the string against the first numbers of phone numbers in the corporate directory. If any names in the directory match the string that you typed, those names appear. Note that all first or last name matches display, for example, entering CH displays Chris User, Christina User, and User Christiansen. If no names in the directory match the string that you typed, a message informing you that no matches were found appears.
After getting a list of matches for the search, you can then perform the following tasks:
Placing a Call Using Directory Query on page 73 Viewing Additional Information for a Directory Query Match on page 73 Adding a Directory Query Match to Contacts on page 74
From the list of directory search matches, use the scroll key to navigate to the person that you want to call. To place a call, do one of the following:
