Teacher explains to the students the outcomes expected from the lesson today 2. Teacher shows a few slides taken from the Internet and their textbooks on microorganisms 3. Teacher explains the characteristics of microorganisms 4. Teacher then shows pictures of each group of microorganisms by using the teaching courseware 5. Teacher explains the characteristics of each group of microorganism 6. Teacher gives out an exercise for the students to complete to test their understanding of todays lesson 7. Teacher and students discuss the exercise 1. Textbook 2. Laptop and LCD 3. Teaching Courseware (Science Form 5) 4. Printed exercise 1. Interested and having inquisitive attitude 1. Collecting and classifying Time was sufficient. Students were attentive and cooperative. Pictures taken from the Internet was able to create the interest among the students on todays lesson. Pictures were clear and interesting. Pictures from the courseware too were interesting and were able to show the differences between the groups of microorganisms. 20 students were able to answer the exercises completely while the balance 12 students were able to give at least 3 correct response for the questions. Students were given home work for the Science Process Skills workbook.

Teacher explains the purpose of todays experiment 2. Teacher explains the procedure and the safety precautions of todays experiment 3. Students carry out the experiment with teachers guidance 4. Students clean all the apparatus after the experiment 5. Teacher and students discuss the outcomes of the experiment 1. Practical textbook 2. Printed handouts (Students Manual) 3. Laptop and LCD 1. Working together as a team 1. Making hypothesis The experiment was carried out without any hitches. It took the students a bit longer than expected to complete the experiment as many steps were involved in this experiment. But time was sufficient to complete all the activities. We will see the observation next week.
