Question 12 In Marshall mix design, laboratory tests showed that the specific gravity of bitumen is 1.03, while the bulk specific gravity of aggregates is 2.674. The percentage of bitumen absorption is 0.6% of the dry weight of aggregates and the effective specific gravity is 2.717. The data for bulk specific gravity of the compacted specimens, stabilty and flow are shown in the Table 3 below. 1.
